Use this more like a speed peeler, the distance between the handle and the centre of the blade means (even for large hands) that it's not easy to advance the vegetable with the thumb whilst controlling the peeler with a closed grip. My previous peeler was akin to a dinner knife, this thing has a sharpened mid-splint (fixed) that's more like the razor sharp speed peelers. It comes with a plastic sheath, which I consider a safety requirement for storage. Tip is great for eye removal (potatoes, though I'm sure it would remove the other sort too).Overall happy, though I didn't find the pan in the box.

This peeler is a lot lighter than other peelers, which at first I thought meant it was poorer quality. Actually it means it is much easier to use, especially as I have child-size hands. As the handle isn't round it means I get a better grip on the peeler when I am using it. My only issue is that peelings sometimes get stuck in the blade, but I think this happens with most peelers in this style. My husband doesn't get on with it, because he has hands the size of a grizzly, but he still manages to peel everything OK.

I had a Brabantia veggie peeler that I had bought at an Outlet mall from a few years ago and lost. I have tried several other peelers, but they don't fit my hands well as they are so slim. Hubby likes his OXO Grip products, but they don't suit my hands. So I bought another Brabantia. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The peeler is perfect for me and fits my hands to a T.I would definitely recommend this product if like me, you have slim hands. If you are like my hubby however, I would go for the OXO Grip ones.

I had my previous peeler for years as it was the only one I could use. It finally broke and I have since had several new ones, all of which were dreadful, gouging rather than peeling. I studied this one ,the Brabantia , and decided it seemed to look a lot like my old broken one, so I got it.Thankfully, it is a lot like my old one. It peels veg smoothly and I can get the job done in very little time.Buy this one it works.

I had a brabantia potato peeler at least 20 years ago and it is still going strong. I bought this one for my daughter who is at uni. I can thoroughly recommend this new one. The design is not so different from mine and the comfortable feel is just as good. I love this type of peeler rather than the scraper ones, principally because you control it rather than the scraping action of the other type. Brabantia every time.

I had reservations buying this as my old favourite had a swivel head. For the first few uses it seemed awkward but since then I have got my peeling angles aligned and find it works very well. It is a little smaller than my old one (I'm male and large) but I'm used to this now (a few weeks of daily use). It washes easily and I think it will stay smart and clean in appearance for many years.

I bought 2 peelers to replace my old one. This one and the Victorinox. I shall keep both. I cannot get on with the swivel blades.The whole thing is fairly flat and I am used to a round handle, but you can get used to it. The blade is very sharp and peels rapidly, however , like many peelers the shaft of the blade extends wider than the handle and I find my finger rubs on the edge of it.

Bought one of these and I'm ordering 3 more to keep for the future for my kids when they get their own homes! I tried THREE others which were absolutely awful then stumbled across this one at Boundary Mills but it's cheaper here on Amazon so will order them right now! So little effort and pain in peeling! I actually love peeling now! Thank you Brabantia! Pure genius!

Having lost y old peeler ( probably in the compost!), I ordered the Brabantia Profile Food Peeler-stainless steel, and I can’t believe I used old one for so long. The difference was vast, it’s sharp and handles smoothly and makes peeling so much easier particularly as I’m getting arthritis in my thumbs. It’s also easy to clean. I can’t recommend this more highly..

Excellent utensil! The shape of the handle makes it lovely to hold and easy to grip. The cutting blade is sharp and cuts through peel as if it were butter. It's an absolute delight to use. Washes easily. Wears well, with no sign of use, even after a long time. You pay a bit more, but definitely get your money's worth. Best veggie peeler I've ever used!

Can struggle with peelers but I can get on with this one for a number of reasons;A decent handle to get a grip onThe cutting edges are slightly more raised than othersIt's really sharpIt doesn't swivelI also like the slightly deeper peel because who can guess what agro chemical horrors may have been absorbed into the skins of vegetables.

Jamie Oliver can keep his daft novelty speed peelers. this is a truly hardcore potato peeler that doesn't butcher my spuds when I am peeling them, sharp enough to shave the skin off a monkeys ass from seven feet away and feels like it could be used as a weapon while bringing terror to gotham city. only for the hardcore potato lovers

Manufacturing in 2017 is at best poor!. However, this potato peeler is proof that there are still good quality items that are fit for purpose on sale.The "safety" peelers that swivel are not at all safe actually, this design doesn't move so you know where the blade is at all times and it makes light work of peeling spuds.10/10

A very good and very effective peeler. This replaced a very old single blade peeler which had surpassed every other option tried - until the blade became so thin that it broke!I tried a few of the other types on offer, but this one has a smoother, lighter operation than the other double bladed peelers

Always love Brabantia products - they work well. This is a replacement for one I had recently misplaced - probably thrown away with the peelings. It is really sharp and means you can take the minimum amount of peel of things like potatoes and carrots leaving as much vegetable behind as possible.
