Great peeler You do have to be a little careful and it is razon sharp.I tend to rush when preping food and have given myself one nick similar to a paper cut. My wife seems to have no issue, it also may be my cackhandedness.It is the first peeler that I have used that makes peeling Kiwi fruit, oranges, grapefruit and other tough skinned food a doddle to peel. And that included the Victorinox left handed peeler we have, which is great at spuds, carrots, parsnips and so on and have only once in five years taken a nik out of a finger but the left handed peeler struggles with things like Kiwi fruit.Would I purchase another, already have as gifts for family, as 8 was so impressed.

It's called a tomato and kiwi fruit peeler, and its blade is serrated. However we use it to peel potatoes, carrots and pretty much everything that grows and needs peeling with no problems, although it does leave shallow ridges on the fruit/vegetable because of the serrations. It feels sharp, effective, easy to use and controllable, and the peelings are a good width - not too thick or thin. My main complaint is that I find the small protrusion for removing defects not very effective, but that's not the primary function so I'm still very happy with it.

Delighted with this peeler, easy to use and makes short work of peeling the veg. Victorinox is a great brand. I had paring knives from this brand for over 20 years and they were still brilliant only for I managed to melt the handles! Have replaced them with more Of same and also scissors from same and all wonderful. You will pay more but it is worth it. Only small thing is that it does not mention on packaging if it is dishwasher proof. I have not put it in the dishwasher and just quickly wash it in soapy water after use. Highly recommend

I love love love this product and you will love it too. Peels anything easily. I have to buy another 2 because my husband keeps throwing them in the bin by mistake with the vegetables peels, he always regretted it. Perhaps it they offer different colours it will be handier. Still, i recommend this product because peels anything from pumpkins, squash, potatoes, and more delicate fruit too.

I didn't think I'd get excited reviewing a peeler ha ha. I guess I had been using an old not very good one for so long it seemed normal. Having recently had cause to use a friend's peeler I realised a good peeler was an awful lot better. I bought this one trusting "Victorinox" as a brand name (from their utity knives) and am delighted to say it's exactly what I was expecting. Excellent.

We call this The Evil Peeler. It will consume everything in its path, be it vegetable skins or human flesh. It is sharp. Very sharp.You get your spuds done very quickly with it, but it will claim a blood sacrifice if you're not careful.Excellent product from an excellent brand. It'll last you a lifetime. How long that lifetime is, is up to your peeler...Highly recommended!

Very Very sharp.. I have quite big hands/fingers and when cutting small potatoes I caught myself several times with the serrated edges which only slightly marked the skin as I was taking my time.. so my advise would be concentrate and do not rush through the veg otherwise you may be sorting through the peelings for your skin to attempt re-attachment.

With a brand like Victorinox you know the tool is going to do the job, and it doesn't disappoint. Just be careful of your fingers against the two blades as they are serrated so you could catch your skin - they work pretty well on the skin of vegetables and fruit, so would probably be pretty effective on yours.

Fantastic peeler! My partner brought me one of these on a trip to Switzerland but it got lost on Christmas day while cooking dinner...I had to go back to my old peeler which emphasised how good it was, and I ordered another despite it being a little expensive....it was worth the extra!

Very efficient, VERY sharp. Made short work of the Christmas peeling duties and almost did a number on my index finger when I wasn't concentrating. Definitely the best peeler I've used even before you consider the newfound adrenaline rush from vegetable prep.

Super sharp with the serations making the cutting through all types of peel so easy whether it's a fruit, carrot or potato with the slim ergonomic handle a perfect fit in the palm. Haven't cut myself yet but am prone so will be extra careful

Very sharp, serrated blade, which works equally well for hard and soft fruit and vegetables. Incorporates a plastic beak for gouging the eyes out of potatoes. So far, it seems very robust and is excellent value for a Victorinox product.

I've never used such a sharp peeler before. I've been using it for months and it stays sharp. It peels thinly and it seems sturdy. Highly recommended. I will look into buying other Victorinox brand knives because of this quality peeler.

This peeler is really sharp and better than the ones we’ve had before. The handle grip is good and overall product feels sturdy.However, you just need to be very careful as the blade can easily cut yourself since it is very sharp.

Had this for a few months now and it's still as sharp today as when bought.Always had the cheaper ones from supermarkets but you can really tell a difference in how easy it takes the skin off potatoes and finger tips
