First introduced to this product when I was on holiday thirty five years ago. It was in the cutlery drawer of a caravan hired for the week. Initially I steered clear of it as I was not too sure what it was. By the end of the week, I was wondering where I could get one. I have never been without one since. All my friends now use them, and as my kids have grown up using one, they too, wouldn't use anything else. They are not built to last forever, but are inexpensive to replace. Takes the drudge out of peeling vegetablesor fruit and is great for peeling the tough skin of squash/pumpkin. Now discovered its ok for shavings of parmesan. Who knows what else..............

A very sturdy peeler which makes short work of peeling carrots and potatoes, without clogging up like my previous peeler from the supermarket used to. As good as the OXO Grips peeler that I also bought, which is a little more comfortable to hold.I had one like this before and have been looking for something similar and bought this one when I spotted it on Amazon.Vet good value for money and it looks to be very durable and easy to clean.

This peeler is so good, peeling vegetables now feels like a hot knife gliding through butter, it's still only a few months old so not sure if the blade will dull but at this price i would just buy another after a few years and be more than happy. My only wish was for it to be slightly wider but it doesn't affect the peeling power which has just the thinnest peel being taken off veg.

I already have one of these, I personally think they are a handy little item. Yes the blade do pop out if not used correctly. I seem to have got use to my one. So hence why I ordered a 2nd peeler. Please note: If you have arthritis, than this product may not be for you. You do need a pretty firm grip. If you hold the peeler correctly the blade will NOT keep popping out.

Great sturdy little peeler. I was after one like my nans and this is just perfect. Not flimsy at all, I've even peeled a butternut squash and a cassava (has a peel like bark off a tree). Anyway if you want a strong peeler that's going to last then this is the one. I've had it a while before reviewing and use it nearly every day.

Best peeler i have used, well made and durable stainless-steel, sharp blades make it a dream to peel a variety of vegetables (used in potatoes, parsnips & carrots in my case)Easy to clean and so far not a speck of rust visible, after about 3 months use and washing...Recommend this to all.

Excellent item for the kitchen. This stainless steel peeler is durable and well made. After a months hard use it works really well. Be warned, it is very sharp, which is one of the reasons it puts other peelers in the shade. Built to last. First rate product.

I had a peeler identical to this one which I lost in with the rubbish a couple of weeks back after 15 years of excellent service. I am delighted to now have its replacement wich I an sure will give me at least a further 15 years of excellent service.

Had this design of potato peeler for years, only to find it had gone missing! Probably got chucked away with the peelings. Scoured the internet until found a replacement. Happy days once more! No other design is comparable.

It doesn't seem much to look at, BUT it is a great tool to have in the kitchen or for camping....it peels smoothly and thinly and fits in the hand very well.....for the price it is fantastic and well made....thanks Jacky

You will never find a potato peeler as effective as one of these bad boys! Nothing! I've got a Sabatier and a Stellar potato peeler which are dreadful, I always go back to this old faithful! The best bar none!!!!

My wife keeps on buying these plastic handled jobs, which break after a couple of months, so I reverted back to the old tried & tested sort and she was delighted.
