Compared to standard mandolins which are notoriously dangerous if you’re not really really careful, this design aims to overcome this issue by reversing the more of action.Instead of moving the veg back and forth over the blade, you hold the veg in position on the top, with a hand guard and press down on the slicer to keep it stable, then pull back and forth on the actual slicer with your other hand. The slicer is underneath and out of the way. Works quite well with onion but anything a bit harder like carrot makes the whole thing rock and move about which I’m not keen on.

This is my favorite mandolin. I dehydrate fruit. The mandolin and the dehydrator are my most essential tools in this process. This mandolin makes my life so much easier. I like the mechanism of it. Rather than sliding the fruit back and forth, with this mandolin you slide a part of the mandolin which makes the whole process much easier and fast. Also, it slices the fruit to perfection! I own two of these!

Fantastic mandoline. The best one I've used! Feels a lot safer with the silicon feet and pull motion.
