The spiraliser has transformed my way of eating. After deciding to give up eating pasta (and all wheat-based products) I was lost without my favourite dishes like spaghetti bolognese and carbonara. The spiraliser has enabled me to enjoy eating spaghetti bolognese with courgette noodles instead of pasta. And I love 'em!I've even used the spiraliser on harder vegetables, like carrots. It worked pretty well, but i needed an extra pair of hands to hold down the machine as the little suckers on the feet disnt stick very well to my worktop. I've read somewhere that swede makes great noodles - very close texture to spaghetti - but I've not tried it yet and I do wonder if the rotating device would be sturdy enough to hold up to the resistance of the swede. It's a bit tricky to clean,as the blades are very sharp and there's a few nooks and crannies. I've found the best way is to let the blade attachment soak for a bit before cleaning it.We'll be using the spiraliser this week to make courgette and carrot noodles instead of egg noodles in Jamie Oliver's Fiery Noodle Salad to accompany Satay Chicken. Can't wait!I love the spiraliser and it's great value for money.

PositivesI have been keeping my eye out for a spiralizer for a while as I have a gluten intolerance and was thrilled to see it come up in the Black Friday sale. Once promptly delivered, it actually took me a week to get it out of the box, but I then made courgette spaghetti (courgetti) and was really pleased with the result. It has three very sharp blade attachments (be very careful with those). It has a nice ‘draw’ underneath the main shaft where you can store the attachments when not using which was great. It also has sticky feet to reduce slipping on the work surface.NegativesThis is mentioned by a number of reviewers, but the design means that a core of your vegetable is not spiralized and you have to chuck away (or keep and use for something else). It just seemed wasteful when spiralizing a number of vegetables. This was made more confusing as the instructions were very unclear so I wasn’t sure if I had just done it wrong (until I read reviews online).Overall if you’re looking for a healthy alternative to spaghetti it is great. I think I will use it weekly and that’s a good enough rate of return for me!

I did do a lot of research before I bought the Lurch Spirali Vegetable Spiralizer. I wasn't which one to buy as there are so many to choose from. I eventually settled on this one and I was not disappointed!. There are three different plates to choose from which enables you to make thin spirals, a thicker spiral and the third plate makes very thin slices. I make a very quick spiralized veg stir fry with a bit of sauce thrown in but my fave is the thin blade which enables me to make Potato Dauphinoise which I love. I use sweet potato as well as white potato and then run an onion through as well. Season and mix with some grated garlic, cream and milk. 40 minutes in the oven and done.Grandchildren love it too, they have a competition to see who has the longest piece, and believe me some are a few feet long! The uses and recipe for this are endless with loads of ideas from YouTube and Pinterest. It is so easy to clean as well I don't even put it in the dishwasher, It just needs a blast from the tap and it is clean.

Really great! Changed my way of eating with more raw veg incorporated with every meal. Cuts through every vegetable I've tried with relative ease. My favourite is peppers, slices them up perfect using the flat blade, for an exciting salad with minimal waste because you just chuck the part full of seeds. With regard to carrots and such yes you have a core left of 'wasted' veg but me and my daughter love to nibble on that while prepping food so no different from other methods just more fun. Cleaning wise it can be a bit fiddly with the blades but I find washing immediately with a long bristled brush eliminates the problems, if you don't have time straight away just leave it to soak so nothing gets dried on.I can't recommend this highly enough for someone who wants to improve their diet with minimal expense and effort. It's minutes to prepare a quick salad and because everything is cut so fine any dressing covers more surface so every mouthful is delicious. Just get one, they are amazing

It's not as complicated as it looks - I spent a moment or two looking at it, along with the pictures in the manual, and realised it's actually very nicely designed and quite intuitive to use. The spare blades store away neatly in the side of the machine and pop out when you click the little green buttons, the main blade comes out easily for cleaning, and once you've secured the vegetable onto the holding spikes you can have thinly-sliced lovely fresh healthy vegetables in seconds. I have used it every day since I got it - quicker and more fun to turn a handle than stand there chopping.PS Edited to add - do be careful with the blades!Despite reading the warnings (each blade has a warning about its sharpness taped over it so you are forced to read before use) I still managed to nick myself trying to wiggle the leftover core of a carrot out from where it was stuck. My own fault!

I couldn't live without this! I used to eat a lot of pasta but recently discovered I'm wheat intolerant. Now I use this almost every day to spiralize courgettes, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. (I found a blog called Inspiralized which offers loads of great recipe idea using spiralized vegetables.)This device is very easy to use. I do struggle a bit with butternut squash but sweet potatoes are so easy to spiralize. The Spirali is also really easy to clean, I just rinse each piece in soapy water and use a long handled scrubbing brush so my fingers don't risk getting sliced on the blades.Within weeks of owning this I had to order one for my friend who is now also obsessed, and it's great for getting her 4 year old to eat more fruit and vegetable "worms" too ;)

To be honest when it came I thought there was a lot of plastic. But I created my first potatoe spiral and my concerns disappeared, we were delighted. It's incredibly quick and efficient. We initially bought this to do a Saturday Kitchen receipe, and we have used it 5 times in 1 week. We've made our own crisps, made a sheppards pie topping and used it to make unusual roasted vegatable mix, and in all cases they've come out really well. Doing each potatoe spiral takes 10 to 15 seconds.I was intially concerned that you can't put it in the dishwasher, but to be honest, we rinse the selected blade just under a tap and it's perfectly fine.I can't praise this enough and have a feeling this will bethe next present I purchase for any keen cooks.

I've only been using this product for a few days and already I'm hooked. Sharp blades, ease of use and clever integral storage of the blades that are not in use make this a dream to have in the kitchen. It seems sturdily made with two handles to push the item being cut forwards and good suction holding the spirali solidly on the kitchen worktop so you don't have to find something to wedge it against as you cut the veggies (although having seen how easily it handled a carrot I think it might cope very easily with something like a chorizo as well). It's also far easier to clean than my mandoline, with a quick run under the tap immediately after use being all it's needed so far.Wish I'd bought it sooner and not bothered with my mandolin.

Very simple to use. Definitely a big step up from the hand held tube type spiralizer I had before: Very quick to make loads of veggies and less wastage- there is a thin core left behind and a centimetre or so of the whole veggie but this can still be chopped and used separately- much less wastage than with hand held spiralizer. Quick to clean. You need to push against the blade for hard veggies and the machine wants to move but it just takes a bit of getting used to and a smooth surface for the grips to stick to. Ideal for courgette spaghetti, making spiralled and thinly sliced veggies for stir fries and salads. Light weight. Seems robust so far and stores well- recommended

Really wasn't sure whether this would end up as a gimmic taking up space on the kitchen side but I've used it almost every day since it arrived! My husband really wasn't sure at first, wondering where the meat content of his dinner had gone (I'd made garlic and parmesan courgette noodles) but he is just as hooked as me!I've spiralised courgette, carrot, broccoli (yes, really!) and celeriac so far. I found the celeriac quite difficult to do, I needed an extra pair of hands TBH.Would recommend to anyone that is struggling to fit veg into their diet, or frustrated parents of teenagers! Plus anyone looking to reduce carbs by replacing pasta.

Man, This thing is amazing. I have been converting people at work and many friends. I started a healthy eating kick a month ago and bought this because I am a fat man that loves gadgets. My housemate and I started cooking and eating well, a big part of it was replacing pasta and noodles with spiralized veg (and rice with cauliflower rice) Our food tastes amazing and I have lost around 14lbs so far. Our favourite meal was beetroot, butternut squash and mooli radish spiralized, then tossed in a tiny bit of oil, salt and pepper and then roasted for 7 mins or so. We then added a satay sauce and some chicken. WOW

This is a brilliant little gadget and what a brand name! I wanted to get healthy food down for 2016 and I read reviews on various versions of these and summarised this seemed to offer all the features I needed and it was a few quid cheaper than a few other similarly specified devices. Makes fantastic courgette spaghetti. Not tried cheese or other things yet but I guess results will be similar and there are 3 blades variations to choose from. A few recipes are supplied too. I bought a five quid slicer from lidl and took the top off my thumb, can't see that happening with this unless I did it purposely.

I bought this for my mom for Christmas and while it took us a while to actually use it, we recently made 'courgetti' and it was fabulous - the machine is so easy to use, extremely easy to set up and clean and, and the end result was great! While the recipe book inside doesn't come with much in the way of inspiration, there are entire website online dedicated to spiralized vegetable recipes so the possibilities are pretty unlimited. I definitely recommend to any vegetarians or pasta lovers - while the texture and taste is obviously different, it's a nice change and something new to try.

i love this machine! The blades are really sharp and the feet stick to the worktop very securely . So far I've used two of the blades the plain one and the small spaghetti one. Carrots and cucumber are great and the bonus is that the watery middle part of cucumber gets left behind - looking forward to trying some other vegetables. It does take up room on the work top but it nicely shaped and fits neatly against the wall or cupboard. i prefer this style of spiraliser to the downward spiraliser as its much easier to do bigger vegatables horizontally.

This has revolutionised my cooking!! Goodbye swollen belly due to pasta - hello amazing courgette pasta and bolognaise! What's even better is that when you make courgete pasta or carotte pasta ect... you feel as if you were eating pasta. Admitedly, I will always turn to pasta if I feel like my favourite (tomato, chilli, garlic, olive oil and a sometimes prawns) but for everything else, this is amazing. I have even found an incredible raw pad thai which I plan on trying! Also, the suction pads are ok, not perfect but you can work around that.
