I normally test a new product out for a while before reviewing it, but this arrived today, and WOW! I had no idea just how bad my previous (Sabatier) bread knife was, before this beauty arrived.It's very lightweight, compared to my old knife, but after a few slices I got used to it. The handle isn't exactly beautiful, but it's simple and comfortable in the hand - very utilitarian. I believe you can purchase the same blade with a rosewood handle if you would like something more aesthetically pleasing. This knife cuts through my homemade bread effortlessly, whereas my old one dragged and tore as much as cut.

Replaced my trusty 25 year old victorinox knife with this one as the edge had dulled. I was a little hesitant as, being a chef, I was wary of the claims knife manufacturers make. This knife is superbly sharp and cuts through bread easily. Slightly thicker than my old knife and a little heavier. The edge drags as it cuts but does not rip the crumb. Will see how long it keeps it's edge. In all a great purchase. Nicely balanced and easy to clean. Size is more suited to home use, a longer knife would be rather impracticable. Daren't take it to work as I know how kitchen staff love to lever open tins and slice cardboard with it. Delivery was fast and the whole process smooth and uncomplicated.

This is simply the best bread knife i have ever owned, its simply a joy to use, tough durable, easy to clean, i make a lot of free formed sourdough and its perfect, my only criticism, which to be fair isn't really a criticism as it clearly states the lenght in the description is that on the widest part of a standard 800g round loaf its a little too short? But if you bake most of your bread in oblong proving baskets or loaf times then this is a steal at this price. Being able to slice my home cooked artisanal style loaves straight, even and cleanly has really upped my bread game - yellow is a fun colour too

I have owned and used many kitchen knives including Global and many more expensive makes than this. Despite the price this knife feels pretty solid. The blade does not flex much and the handle is a good size, I am a man with large hands.It is very sharp from the box. I have a nice clean cut on my thumb to prove it. Cuts bread of all kinds for fun, you really don't need to exert any downward force it just cuts itself with the serrations.Excellent value knife, it should last a long time. It does not look or feel overly expensive or fancy, but it is nice quality and performance is excellent.

Divorce means that my wife and I are dividing up the contents of the family home. She is keeping many of the kitchen goods, including one of these knives, and there was no doubt as to what I would buy for myself as a replacement. This is a very well made knife, with a sturdy handle that provides a good non-slip grip. The blade has stayed sharp for many years and is thick enough so that it doesn't flex when in use, making it ideal for cutting thin slices where a fine level of control is needed. I really rate this knife and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Much like the Victorinox Cooks knife I bought this is another quality product. These aren't flashy but they are very well made and incredible value for money.I've used numerous cheap bread knives over the years and it was like night and day when I first sliced one of my homemade loaves with this, instead of roughly tearing my bread into pieces this simply glided through the loaf making effortless neat slices.If you're looking for a bread knife then look no further, durable, sharp and value for money, what more do you want?

In lockdown we are baking our own bread and so this comes in very handy. This is our second Victorinox, the first is our Swiss Army Knife of course, both will last a lifetime! It's unusual to get a skandi grind type sharpness on a serrated blade. I am telling my child, and all my friends to "Buy Good Quality" things like in the old days! This is one of them, and will be around for many years to come! I would prefer a wooden handle of course...

My mother gave me a couple of Victorinox vegetable knives some years ago and they are excellent, so one day I thought I'd order the bread knife. I could kick myself for not having done it years ago. It is so sharp that it easily glides smoothly through the freshest of bread, with no tearing, pulling or hacking. Its as effortless as a hot knife through butter and even the thinnest slices come out evenly and cleanly sliced.

This is the prettiest bread knife I own! I have the matching pink steak knives which I love and thought this would be a perfect accompaniment. The knife is sharp and overall quite light, so much easier to use - I have another bread knife bought from a supermarket but it's really heavy and much of that weight seems to be centred in the handle. This is stylish and functional, who could ask for more!

This is a really good bread knife for the money. I have an old Victorinox bread knife and bought this as a second knife, slightly shorter than the old one.I'm happy with the quality of this knife and will recommend it if you need a good quality knife. If you want a better looking knife, buy the same knife with wooden handle, it is only slightly more expensive.

Well, I thought I had had a few bread knives in the past, but this is in a different league altogether. It slides though any bread so easily and is also great for tomatoes and other fruit. Very impressed indeed, but I do keep it in its plastic sleeve to avoid accidents -it is very sharp. Victorinox just make the most excellent products.

This must be the best knife I have ever owned in all my 75years. I cannot put as much gusto into my slicing any more, with this amazing knife I do not need to, it slices my home made bread as though it were butter. Do not hesitate to choose this superb knife, I wish that I could afford more of this brand.

I ordered the item on a Saturday and it arrived on the Tuesday! How's that for excellent service! I am simply delighted!The knife arrived well packed and is just as described.I haven't had an opportunity to use the knife yet, but the blade certainly appears very sharp....it's bread making tomorrow...

Just got our new knife. It has replaced one I've had for around 30 years which I am keeping. These knives are amazing. This one is razor-sharp. Cuts bread perfectly. It's easy to clean. It is fantastic value. This one will most probably outlive me haha!!Go on buy one now you will not be disappointed.

I’ve wanted a bread knife for ages and having recently bought the fantastic victorinox tomato knives, thought that this might be the knife for me. It hasn’t disappointed. Cuts through bread like a knife through.....bread (but like, really soft bread). A lovely knife and produces great results
