The new Victorinox 6.7833 Tomato Knife is 222mm in overall length with the fully-serrated, round-ended blade making up half that at 11cm. I soon found it to be the most versatile of all my kitchen knives and it is a boon when handling stuff that even a slightly blunt larger knife just squishes (like over-ripe tomatoes). Great for slicing any fruit and vegetables, including dicing and thin-slicing onions, and perfect for making sandwiches as it both spreads and cuts. And just wonderful for cutting thin slices of oranges and lemons when making marmalade. Best marmalade preparation knife I have ever had. It cuts superbly and efficiently. As I found to my cost when trying to squeeze out just one more paper-thin slice.Yes, you must treat it with respect, but that is a small price to pay for this most useful kitchen tool. I have ordered several more to ensure that I am never without it.

The rounded tip is useful, it prevents me from digging into plates or being tempted to spear food in the pan. It cuts fruit with minimal pressure when using the length of the blade to slice (like a small saw). Handle is ergonomic and nicely made. The blade is deceptively sharp. A very understated knife that performs well above supermarket knives in the same price bracket. It also carves cooked meat well. I will however look for a non-serrated Victorinox for potatoes and things. A pointed blade is useful for digging out bad bits and opening packets. Just a thought if you are only considering buying one knife for every kitchen task. This might not be it.

I love this knife because I can use it without fear of stabbing myself (or anyone else) when cutting through something tough. It's sharp and serrated which makes it suitable for cutting most things. It's got a comfy handle and is a good size which is important as I have a hand tremor, making cooking a slightly risky activityI'm buying my own one to take to uni as my Mum is quite attached to our others (we have about 3 other of the same) and I was delighted to find that it was cheaper to buy it with an orange handle rather than black so that was a no-brainer.

This is an extremely sharp, serrated knife that lasts almost forever without losing sharpness. But due to its lightweight, it makes it harder to chop vegetables. It's also very easy to cut yourself without this knife if you're not careful, because there's no weight in the knife's handle to guide it when you chop thick items in the kitchen. So be extra careful with your grip and finger placement until you get used to its ergonomics.I wouldn't recommend this for a chef because you can't use it for extended period of time due to its lightweight.

If you are looking for kitchen knife then go for it. All purpose knife.I am using it since 2017.Cost 400rs or little less during sale. Price is higher compared to regular knifes we buy at 50 or 100rs..but as per my experience this one at 400rs will last more than 5 knifes you buy at 100rs. Now do the math. This one will be cheaper.Caution : these knives are "SUPER" Sharp be very very cautious. Better use along with chopping board. If you have habit of cutting veggies while holding then always a risk of slipping and edge coming on to you.

The knife cuts tomatoes beautifully without spilling much juice out. It is deceptively sharp. BUT TAKE CARE OF YOUR FINGERS WHILE CHOPPING. I HAD A SMALL CUT ON MY FINGER AND IT BLED QUITE A BIT. Yet I can't do without it as I know that the fault was mine for not being cautious. It chops other vegetables well too. It is easy to handle.Update: I love these knives. I have the ones I bought nearly two years back functioning well. And I have bought quite a few more to gift to loved ones who in turn loved and appreciated these knives

Seriously. Where do I even start? This will cut everything. It's an all-rounder. It's sharp, it's easy to handle and the grip feels like an extension of your hand.My servant stole this knife and I had to order another.I wouldn't blame her... Even though I hated her for a while. Being a man and being so in kitchen knives secretly...is a little weird. :-DBut this knife is THAT good. I bet she hated cutting stuff with her cheap 10-50 bucks knife.Invest in this. AND PROTECT IT FROM YOUR SERVANTS.It's that good. Honestly.

Wonderful product. My Second buy. I was always searching for a very good and quality knife. My search ends with Victorinox knifes. The difference between this and other knife is the longevity of the sharpness. Been using it regularly for 6 months, still sharp. The serrated edges just glides over vegetables. Be VERY CAREFULL - IT WILL CUT YOUR FINGER - IF YOU DO NOT HANDLE THIS PROPER. Handle is good size and sturdy. Its made of Polypropylene, I would not know if the tang is full. but not worry. the handle is strong..

Excellent little knife for the price, very sharp. I ended up buying 2 one for the daughter who hasn't mastered using a chopping board and blunts my knives (so now she can blunt her own) I know its called a tomato knife but you can cut most things, good for cutting buns instead of getting a big bread knife out. Only downfall for me is the size of the handle (bit small as i have big hands) but i wouldn't let it put you off. The swissclassic is the newer version of this knife and a nicer looking handle.

This is a very sharp knife of the kitchen devil type blade if you like. It's probably best suited as a steak knife where it's brilliant for the task of cutting that type of meat but for soft veg or fruit it has a sawing/grabbing type cut which I'm not a fan of, here I'd much prefer to use a heavy well sharpened chef's knife. If you want a (very) small, flexible sharp knife and like this type of serrated blade or fancy a great steak knife it's 5 stars.

Its surprisingly sharp. Its not very big like a chefs knife but big enough for the handle to better fit in hand better than average Indian kitchen knife. Because its serrated you dont have to sharpen often. I have been using mine for a few months and its still very sharp. Its very safe because of the stainless steel instead of cheap knifes. Its not as expensive as other knifes from victorinox but still pretty good. Effortless cutting experience

I use these daily for about a year, then 'demote' the now slightly duller knife to second (or third) best and buy a new colour. I don't use them for meat, or solid vegetables like carrots, but they are first choice for everything else, including tomatoes of course! I have even managed bread and cakes. After three years of daily use and top shelf dishwasher cleaning the colour fades a bit. I find this acceptable :-)

Love this knife. Deeply cut myself on it seeing how sharp it was on delivery, its very sharp. And a few months on, its not quite so clinically sharp, but still cuts like a charm.I make sandwiches for myself every lunch time with pre-sliced bread, and was always frustrated that cutting knives are bad for spreading and spreading knives too blunt for cutting. This beauty does it all. Changed my sandwich making life!

This is the best small knife whuch i have used so far. Initially got this as part of the whole knife set. Sooner it became the most used knife for cutting onions, small vegetables, fruits, peeling skin etc... Then i ordered another one separately and it was worth it. It was of the right size and the it is staying sharp pr more than an year or so ... (the first one which I bought was not from amazon)

Does exactly what it is designed to do and with such ease.I was constantly sharpening my vegetable knife in order to slice through tomatoes with ease until I finally decided to buy one of these bad boys.No effort at all, the sharp serrated edge cuts your favourite red fruit with ease! The only problem with it, is that I get into bother from the Mrs when I leave it in the sink. It is sharp.
