I'm so pleased we bought these Wusthof knives. I did a lot of research beforehand and, knowing that I didn't want the Japanese-style Santoku knives, I am delighted that we chose these. It was a bit scary though as these are the first 'proper' knives (over £40 each, that is) that we've bought.We also bought the 6-inch Wusthof classic Ikon plus the Boden Bistro Universal Knife Block and these 4 knives fit perfectly in it at a slight angle.I also bought the Knife Sharpener by Lantana...and I've yet to use it (2 months later)...I know, I know, I'm meant to keep finely sharpening these but I'm just so happy with them as they are...I'm just waiting to see how long it takes before I notice a lack of

I bought this set to replace some lower quality knives that were failing in just about every way. My wife and I were starting to cook more at home and after a lot of research ended up going with the Classic Ikon line from Wusthof. The build quality for all three of the knives in this package is exceptional. The 8" Chef's knife is heavy but well weighted and comfortable to hold. The pairing knife is comfortable and easy to maneuver allowing for precise cuts of smaller foods. I didn't think I was going to get much use out of the carving knife except around "turkey time" but have actually ended up using it quite a bit. Its great for cutting larger fruits like melons and pineapples.

I've never owned an expensive set of knives before, but I thought I'd take the plunge. The packaging is low quality and almost like something you might pick up from the market, but I suppose that just means the money is being spent on the knives themselves.These knives are extremely sharp and make light work of any food I've prepared so far. They have a nice feel to them, they are weighted well and the handle is comfortable. They also make a nice sound like a sword being unsheathed. I'm not looking forward to the inevitable day when I accidentally cut myself though... I've not had them long enough to comment on how long they'll retain their sharpness.

The boyfriend and I are both pretty good in the kitchen. Arguably, I'm better, but who's counting?! HA! He hadn't experienced the amazing glory of good knives, so for Christmas I bought him this set. I've used them a few times and already told him I'm taking these if we break up! They're absolutely spectacular. Very sharp, very balanced, incredibly comfortable in the hand. It makes cooking way more fun than it already is. I've used them on assorted veggies and meats and nothing is too much. Makes what I thought was my good set of Kitchenaid feel like dollar-store rejects. Worth every penny!

started off very sharp, almost too sharp and its almost impossible not to cut yourself. me and the wife got a couple of good cuts (to ourselves lol) on this. but after a few months the sharpness has settled down, gonna have to get a sharpener at some point. nice blade though, man I love German stuff. only annoyance is we hand wash these, i think you may be able to dishwasher these, but its too valuable for us to risk a dishwasherising these.

Bought these for my sister for Xmas and have gotten to use them several times. These are truly fantastic knives. They feel light weight with great balance. Very sharp. She cut her thumb trying to use the pairing knife like she did her old dull pairing knife. Like other reviewer I don't see how these knives can be improved. Maybe include a set of bandages?

These knifes are amazing. The balance and feel in your hand while you're working in the kitchen with them exudes quality. Even after a year, these knifes stay incredibly sharp. They are easy to sharpen with a Wusthof sharpening steel. I definitely use the paring knife the most, and it's a beautifully made knife, and definitely my favourite to use.

Came razor sharp out of the box, maintains a good edge, no rusting or staining. They have a very pleasant weight to the handles that make chopping nice and smooth (if you’re looking for an ultra light set of chef knives these won’t be the ones for you). I prefer these Wusthof knives to my last set of Zwillings. Extremely pleased!

I got these as a present for my husband. He already has some in different sizes. They are really good but really sharp. They can't be put in the dishwasher and need to be cleaned with a regular sponge ( not scouring pad). I do recommend these for anyone serious about cooking.

If you're not careful you WILL cut one of your fingers off. Knives are exeptionally sharp and rigid. Would recommend for everyone who wants an amazing cooking experience. There's a reason why Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver use these knives.

These knives are of a quality standard. I brought these for my husband as he reckons we have no sharp knives in our household. He was pleasantly surprised at how good they actually are.

Got a full set of wusthof classic knives which I use for work but wanted something for home and really made up just as good as classic fully recommend for foodies and professional chef

Great kitchen knives--price was reasonable, and the knives are razor sharp, have great weight and balance, and I cannot imagine how you would improve these knives.

Love these knives so far! So sharp I feel like up 'till now I've been cutting with spoons. The blades are lighter than I expected and balance well in my hands.
