This is a solid well made item and I'm very pleased with it. The only fault is the fact that my carving knife (8 inches/20cm in length) is too long and so the knife tip protrudes below the block and rests on the the work surface. However, I solved the problem by glueing a piece of wood to the underside of the block. The other slots are 4 x 20mm , 1 x 47mm, 1 x 70mm, 2 x 35 mm (all approx to nearest mm.)

This is a really good quality knife block. It is very well made. However whilst there is a range of sizes for different knives I feel there are too many small sized holes, most knives that I have anyway seem to be slightly too big to fit in the knife block. Apart from that I no qualms with the product. It looks nice and I am pleased it has a place for scissors and a knife sharpener etc.

Excellent product. Normal size, normal weight knife block. Would probably be better with one less small slot replaced by one larger slot. The small slots comfortably fit a steak knife. Our longest knife just peaks out the bottom of the block as there is no bottom to the slots. A very long knife would touch the surface underneath, not good if its a nice oak worktop!

Absolutely delighted with this product. It fits all my Sabatier knives at a fraction of the price of many branded versions. I agree with other reviewers that the left hand slots are a bit narrow but I do have some narrow knives which slot in perfectly. Looks very sleek and professional, sturdily constructed and a great addition to my kitchen.

Nicely constructed and finished, but the left-hand slots are all narrow, limiting capacity; there's space for the slot at bottom left to be wider, enabling my last knife to fit it !Had to resort to a long drill and a sharp 1/8th chisel to fix this !

Excellent knife block - just what we wanted as it has more slots than our current one.Nicely made and looks good, just as in the picture. The scissor slot is not wide enough for our current scissors so will have to wait for some thinner ones.

Delivers within 24 hours, solid construction, be careful with long bladed knives, there is no bottom seal and you could damage your work top. Overalldoes what is designed to do- hold knives, looks good on the work surface

Holds all my long and short sharp knives with the blade sharpener. Very neat and handy, bit pricey for a block of wood but whatever it costs to get all my knives together without endangering myself is worth it.

Sensibly sized slots mean we can fit our full knife collection in. Very solid with a great finish. Much better than our previous block with the 'fins'- these get gunked up over time and become unusable.

Very nice knife stand with loads of slots. Bought to replace our old one which was a pull out drawer underneath a chopping board as the old one took up too much space, This one s just right.

As people have said the 4 small slots are too small, if they were bigger the block would be perfect. It holds 8 knives, scissors and a knife sharpener. The 4 small slots just let it down.

I would recommend measuring your knives before buying this product. Nothing wrong with the knife block itself but the slots arent really big enough for the knives I use most.
