Wusthof are known for their top quality knives so I wanted a top quality knife block to keep them in. Obviously this one is not cheap but you get what you pay for right? Wrong! It is not finished very well and has some rough edges to it. The main problem is the rubber strips that slide into the base as feet. They slide in easily and slide out just as easily every time you move the block. I also expected there to be some kind of cushioning within the slots where each knife goes but it's just a slot cut into the wood.When you buy a Wusthof knife, you pay for a quality product but with this knife block you're paying for the style only.
