good, if a lttle soft. The metal is a mid-range steel, not as hard as some of the other steel Iown includig the excellent m390. However, tremenous value for money and with good whetstone and strop technique they are easy enough to keep sharp. The steel is brittle owing to the carbon content so don't use it to pry or stab or hack. They will break and they are not designed for this. They are a decent range of knife sizes my one gripe is that the chef's knife is a little narrow and light, I like a bt of substance to my knife. The balance is ok, centre of mass being just beyond the base of the blade. They are full tang as expected, and the handles are comfortably wide and substantial.

the quality of the knives was fine, as can be expected with the make, although I was a little dissapointed with the size of the cooks knife I expected it to be larger. I think more about the size and type of the knives supplied with the block could be added on the description.Appart from that they do what they are meant to do and cut very well.

At this price I was extremely sceptical and could not see that the quality could be any better than just OK. How wrong could one be. The knives are a good weight, extremely sharp and look good on the knife rack. I have ditched the knife block which came with it but even the knife block was an excellent weight, quality wood and looked good.

This block of knives are just the ticket. Looks really great on the worktop in the kitchen but most importantly they are really sharp! Good handles and every knife you will need to build on your cooking skills. Love them.

Great quality Sabatier knife set at a very good price.Not all knives that carry the established Sabatier brand name are of an acceptable quality,but this set stands out from the crowd,I highly recommend this product..

Marvellous set of kitchen knives of the highest quality. When sharpened with the little Richardson sharpener they maintain a very keen edge.Packaging and Delivery Excellent

Exactly as I had hopes. Good quality, not too many knives in the set and a great 'feel' when held in the hand. Amazon price was very competitive too. Very highly recommended.

Very good knives. Very sharp. I don't like that the knives don't sit very well in the block. I wouldn't pay full price for them. But when reduced they are worth the money.

These are the best knives i have ever used.They are so sharp they cut through just about anything just like it was butter.I would highly recommend them.

Nice weight to the handle and a light blade. Very sharp and comfortable to use. My wooden bloc wasn’t in pristine condition though, a little scratched

Very well priced for a high quality product.My daughter in law was delighted.My grandaughter can now chop with sharpknives which re sharpen easily

The block is very sturdy and heavy. Knives are of good quality and very sharp. Its worth spending a little more for good quality. Very pleased

I recently purchased these knifes for home use. They are excellent, they cut though items like fruit and veg like butter.
