Incredibly impressed with the Vibram FiveFingers Classic. After they arrived on Christmas Eve (a present to myself), when conventional footwear doesn't need to be worn, they've regularly found themselves upon my feet.As one who enjoys spending much of their leisure time barefoot, in addition to running barefoot upon sand, concrete and smooth tarmac throughout summer months, the Vibram Classic is perfect, since the thin rubber outsole provides my own with the protection needed to enjoy the benefits of near barefooting during colder months of the year.Admittedly, a little effort is required when attempting to slide the toes into their individual sockets, but once in place, they remain snug and secure. As recommended,I did make a point of measuring my feet in order to achieve best fit. Measuring 27cm (270mm) from heel to toe, although the Vibram sizing guide suggested that a UK size 8 would accommodate my feet, I still opted for a UK size 10, since regular barefooting over the years has led to the development of a wide forefoot and prominent arch/instep. Additionally, my forefoot measures 4" across, as it supports and distributes my body weight when standing. I guess that's the benefit of regular barefooting.Returning to the Vibrams, having chosen the correct size, they fit my feet perfectly, whilst also providing the same sense of freedom that is commonly enjoyed when wandering or running barefoot; they really are like a second skin as they mould to the feet, moving with them with each footfall, thus, ensuring that the feet continue to work as they were designed. For those not familiar with barefooting, minimalist or zero drop footwear, a period of adaptation may indeed be necessary, particularly since barefooting involves far greater intrinsic movement of soft tissue that comprises the feet and lower legs. However, through seeking to strengthen muscles of the feet and calves, alongside gradually increasing the amount of time spent in Vibrams, the transition towards a minimalist/zero drop shoe should be largely painless.

I fell in love with this simple yet slightly rugged style. I wanted a pair for everyday because I hate tennis shoes. Once I stumbled upon this particular style, I had to have them; Everything else looks too bulky or too flimsy, in comparison.I fit into the 7.5 with my last pair of Alitzas, without doubt. I read the reviews about these running small, but I had to try these out. The fit was absolutely awful at first. My feet are wide and my toes are chubby. My "ring toe" had to really be squeezed in the first few times I put them on. But guess what? I kept them. They were uncomfortable, and I had to take them off under my desk the first few days. I just loved the design so much, I kept at it.It has been over a month now of wearing them Monday through Friday, they have definetly stretched out now. My ring toe still feels tight getting in, but my toes are thicker than the average person's. I will not be buying this particular style again, though.

I bought these on a bit of a whim, because I get bad ankles and planter fasciitis when I run and the research around barefoot running looked good enough for me to give them a go.I love them! I have experienced initial muscle tiredness in my feet and ankles, but that just proves I'm using different muscles when I use them. When I'm wearing them I want to bounce and run. I'd far rather wear them than my running shoes. I even have arches now. I'm not yet at the stage where I can do all my running in them, but I want to be. I think I'll be buying a pair of KSOs or Flows for the winter too.No issue with the vendor. The box they arrive in is really quite small. My only advice would be to measure your feet carefully.I did it approximately and they are slightly too big. They stay on, it's not a problem, just a note. I did go up a size after reading a couple of reviews saying they were tight. I think careful measuring may be the answer.

Pretty good price. Quick delivery. Excellent product if wearing like other Vibrams from 5 years ago. These are my favorite Vibrams and I've never lost my balance in them. I sprint around the 500 congressional offices in DC, wade in the backyard creek, navigate steep stairs, exercise at the gym, and look forward to never breaking my 76 year old hip. Snow and ice are a challenge to stay warm and non-slipping but so far so good. Not recommended for web feet or people not enjoying a barefoot feel of motility. Shards of glass and metal points will pierce the sole so watch out when wearing Vibrams. Sharp loose rocks are easier to walk through with Vibrams than with regular boots or shoes. The black color works well with black business suits or even long black skirts and white blouse for opera. Weddings especially in summer are more problematical. Other styles than Vibram Classics might work.

Amazing shoes! So very comfortable! They fit true to size - They are supposed to be snug on your feet. I wear an 8.5-9 and I wear size 41 in most Vibrams. The Classic does require a break-in period. I am not a runner, I wear these at work where I am on my feet 8-10 hours at a time. With that said, the first thing I did was cut the cord. Yes, I did! I don't need it, and I don't like the floppy tag hanging in the back. The best way to break in a pair of Vibram Classic is to invert the heel! This stretches the rubber at the rear of the foot so that there is no pressure on the back of the heel. I inverted them and left them that way for a couple of days. Works like magic! And my feet, knees and back are happy!

These shoes take some getting used to! You can't see it in the photo, but my big toes are having a hell of a time getting used to these. No fault of the shoe, just 20 years of wearing "normal" shoes that's made my toes tight knit, which these shoes seek to correct. What I'm able to do in these is kind of amazing! Better ability to grip with my toes as well as balance as my toes can splay completely. The heel cap is a bit high but hasn't given me chaffing, however I think it could be lower without compromising the fit of the shoe. If this is your first pair of barefoot shoes or if your toes aren't similar to the splay of the design: give it time!

These are both great and incredibly annoying. I'm going to go 5 stars because they are exactly what they are supposed to be, and very well made. Most of the problems are my own — a terrible bad heel from plantar fasciitis, and toes that simply don't like to separate and go into their respective compartments. It's a struggle to get them on, and I have to pad the rear sides to keep my heel from aching. The theory, that more "natural" movement of my foot will help heal it, is a suggestion from my PT, and I'm game to wear them a few hours a day and try it. The 'well' foot loves them, and I wish mightily that both could be as happy.

These shoes are the best. I am never going back to regular shoes! I have used these shoes on nature hikes and for long bike rides. My feet feel wonderful. I wear a women's 8.5-9, and I ordered the 40. Perfect fit. I went to try on vibrams at a shoe store before purchasing online, just to be sure of sizing. These were nearly $50 less than the store price. I like that they aren't loud and just seem to blend in. Most people don't realize I'm even wearing "toe shoes" because they kind of look like plain black flats. Plus, they are small and light weight enough to just slip into a medium size purse which makes them great for travel.

I bought these a year ago to help with the fact that I have extremely flat feet, and working out can be painful if not completely barefoot. These shoes have solved my issue! The first 2 months were somewhat painfull since the shoes to fit as a glove. There was a lotnof adjusting, and attempts to prevent blisters from rubbing. Once the shoes were stretched out I was able to run on the treadmill no problem. Outside running is s totally different experience, and ine I have yet to work towards in these shoes. Overall I am thankfull that I can now workout and not think too much about my pronation issue.

I have been looking for some kind of footwear that can replace my "socks only" routine when I want to feel comfortable at home. This fits the bill, but it took getting used to so I had to delay my review for a little bit. I am not used to having my toes individually wrapped....ha..ha. It is a well-made product. It looks durable, although I will have to give myself some time to find that out. My feet tend to be very dry and wearing this product seems to help the condition. I think it is a bit too pricey, and this is the only reason I knocked one star off the rating.

I bought these to use in the gym, as they are small, lightweight and easy to transport. In that respect they tick all the right boxes. They fit well, and provide enough protection while allowing my feet to do their work unhindered. They don't provide much protection on the top though, so if you're prone to dropping heavy gym equipment, then you'll probably want to avoid them. The one complaint I have is that when utilised on a treadmill the soles of the shoe actually get hot. I only do 10 minutes at a time, but have switched to rowing as a result.

Well, after two previous attempts, I feel like goldilocks finally finding the one that fits just right. Good thing I have Amazon Prime and returns were a breeze. But now that I have the shoes, I am just starting to break into wearing them. My right foot does not feel as comfy as my left, but it might be due to it being a slightly different shape due to a bunion. I still wear them - and you don't need socks for these. I made the mistake of ordering these nylon stocking type socks with toes. Unnecessary, but so cheap, I will keep them.

I have many Vibram styles most in 39 a few 38. Sadly this style doesn't work for me. First order the 39 as comments stated to size up and they were too loose and toes had too much space in front. Just received my 38, so excited...and bummer they are too tight and my big toe hurts with no room on front of the toes....ugh!! .. really like the style and they are comfy. I'm usually a size 7 reg shoes/heels, 7.5/8 in running shoes. Price was great too. BUT If u wear socks than a 39 should be fine. Sadly will return.

I had my doubts about this product, because my second toe is longer than my first, lol! But I was pleasantly surprised. I put them on and they fit nearly like a glove. I purchased these to go on my daily walks in, as I prefer to be barefoot, but between geese and impolite pet owners that’s not a practicality. Be sure to measure your feet before ordering, because I believe the company is out of country and conversions vary. If it weren’t for my personal anatomy, I’d say these shoes were the perfect fit!

It’s new for me to wear this brand. Next time I’ll have to adjust my shoe size from 111/2 to 11’ because it’s a bit loose. But, I love my shoes. They really are great and I get the odd stares often. Mostly curious and positive.I’ll wear them when I’m out downtown, and the only issues that come are when I’m on anything not smooth surfaced. You’ll feel the grooves and points of gravel. And, my new arch enemy are those dotted grooves along cross walk stops. Haha.
