This treat ball, and others of the EXACTLY same design, are so much fun for your pet. I regularly measure out a meal for my dog, pour it into the wide open treat ball, and adjust the closure so the food falls out but not that easily. My bichons each have their own ball and they have had them for 13 years....and the balls still look like new. I got the larger ones because they both love to push the ball around the whole house with their noses and then they use their paws to get it out from under tight places or from corners. Hours of fun and mental/physical stimulation for them. The adjustable opening...an absolute MUST in a good treat ball, allows me to put all size treats in the ball: frozen peas, dried sweet potato chunks, cheerios, etc. I don't know what a large dog would do to the ball, but if you get one large enough that they have a hard time getting their mouths around it, then they should be able to use it as intended...a mental stimulation toy, not a chew toy. You probably won't be able to find these balls in the States...I found mine in Canada originally and never saw them anywhere in BC again! I can't believe they aren't in every pet store in the world...they really should be because the "girls" love love love to play with them. And watching them is better than any TV show...really! So buy ten and give them to your friends...you'll be the most popular person in your world.

Bored dogs bother and bark. Puppies have toys, bigger dogs, having destroyed their baby toys can miss them. I found our two year old Springer increasingly fussing at us while we sat chatting at the table. He took to pushing his ball at us and our guests, generally being annoying. It was embarrassing especially when I impulsively went without warning to retrieve the ball from the lap of an elderly gentleman! This woke me up to the fact that although mature, our pet might still need occupying play. This 9cm ball is quite large, I think I should have bought the smaller version if it were to be used as a fetch toy as the 9cm version is a bit too big and heavy to pick up and carry. The dog noses it about, encouraging the treats to emerge. Only frustrating when he gets it stuck in a corner. The previous reviews were all really helpful as it was good to read about the indestructible nature of the ball. An earlier toy I'd bought was in tiny orange crumbs within minutes. The little lip inside the ball curtails the rapid fallout of dry goodies (cat treats are a much loved choice). I am pleased to have found this and keep it for the occasions when we really want to be left alone.

This keeps my (very active) lab entertained for a good while when we are out. She normally figures things out in a flash but this takes some time to release the treats so even though she knows how to get them out she can't do it in about a minute! I can't comment on how robust it would be for a chewy dog but it has lasted being flung around our kitchen for months with no adverse effects (to the ball or my kitchen!). Quite a lot of people said in the comments before I bought to make sure you only put small dried biscuits in but my dog is not interested in those. I've found the best thing to put in is schmackos / or an own brand alternative. I literally cut it into relatively small pieces & use those. They have quite a strong smell so I think that keeps her interested. Definitely a good buy to keep a dog busy!

Brilliant item - just big enough not to roll under the furniture! Had a similiar 'maze' ball from another company and tried to replace when it got mysteriously lost but was no longer available. This one doesn't disappoint. The rubber is soft enough for my dog to pick up in his mouth but sturdy and durable enough to withstand rough dog action!Unlike my previous one, this one has only the one hole where you put the treats, shake them around so they fall to the bottom of the "labyrinth" bit and they fall out of the same hole gradually when pushed around. I've used both tiny cat biscuits and also regular dog biscuits and neither came out too quickly.Really good quality and much heavier than expected. So impressed,I'm buying another one to keep in reserve in case this one disappears outside!

I bought two of these for my dogs, an elderly Border terrier cross and a 6 month old bichon frise and they absolutely love them. The routine is that after their morning walk, they get a few small treats, and putting them in these snack balls means they have to work for them, as well as adding to their enjoyment and mental stimulation. The balls themselves are sturdy and well made. i was surprised that they are hard plastic but it seems to work. The opening for the treats can be adjusted to make it harder or easier to get them but even at its widest, the dogs still have to work to get them. The rubber treat balls I have used before have invariably split or been chewed, but I think these will be longer lasting and provide hours of fun.All in all, a good, sturdy product at a good price.

This treat ball is perfect for the more energetic and strong jawed dog.My dog (staffie x collie) had started to wreck the kitchen when left, but since buying this item she has been quite content. She rolls, throws, squashes and chews it and after a month it is still in tip-top condition. As it states on the box only use dry treats, and from experience when washing, it is best to try not to get the inside wet as the treats get stuck in there. Most treat sizes fit but the general rule of thumb is 'if it doesn't fit comfortably in the hole, it wont come back out'. The hole itself is a couple of centimeters wide.It is well worth the money and I am now getting one for my in-laws over active collie. On the plus side for the owners,it never stops being entertaining to watch.

Bought for our Jack Russell who just chews up he's balls rather than playing with them. This one is still going as he can't fit it all in he's mouth. This ball only has one hole which is for filling and for the treats to come out. It is adjustable so smaller/larger treats can be put in. However after we filled ours and gave him the ball he just chased it around and left a trail of treats everywhere. It is now just a ball he headbutts and chases around everywhere and uses the gap that's supposed to be for the treats as a place to put he's teeth to carry it around. Good strong quality material. Very pleased it's still going strong. This is the longest lasting ball he's ever had and he's 7 years old (with the energy of a puppy)

This is the second of these that I have bought my dog. I bought the previous, smaller, one 4 years ago and it is still going. This was the next size up and a different colour. My dog loves these balls. They keep him entertained for much longer than other snack balls and can fit a full meal inside so he can work for his dinner. He gets so excited when he sees the ball; much more so that when I fill up his dinner bowl! The maze inside the ball means that the treats do not all come out at once and so the fun lasts longer. My dog is a medium sized cavapoo and quite intelligent. Other dog games and puzzles do not take him long to master but these balls have never become boring.Highly recommended.

The ball arrived on time and is as described - though mine is blue - which I actually prefer for our Portuguese Water Dog Dylan - I missed where it said you could specify a colour but the invoice states you can do this when you order.Have tried it out and compared to the old Canac hard plastic one we have which crashes into all the furniture this is brilliant - no noise or fear of breaking things.I have yet to try it with actual treats as it is now wrapped up as a Christmas present but no doubt it will be well used on Christmas Day! It's amazing how Dylan will eat all sorts of kibble from the Canac one but is fussy if I put it in his bowl - I assume he will be the same with this one!

We had bought these products years ago in Sweden for our Dalmatian that suffers from separation, we left a camera on to watch him when we had gone out, He played for hours and then went off to sleep, Once he had eaten all the treats inside, The good thing about these balls is they cant just rip them apart and eat the lot in one go, The balls are strong and tuff, They have to work it out how to get the treats out of them, This was a total change for him, and for us knowing we could go out and not worry that he would howl the house down, and the neighbours ears didn't suffer anymore, If you are in doubt about buying these ball, Please don't be in any doubt at all they work perfectly,

My 4 month old pup has just put 2 & 2 together and realised that the food appearing while she's playing with this isn't a coincidence but that it's a consequence and so she loves rolling it around. She's loved the ball from Day one, the noise it made with kibble inside really attracted her. She's not a destructive dog (golden retriever) and so she's never chewed it, it looks pristine, so I can't comment on it's robustness if chewed in anger - but I'd say that some dogs will destroy anything, it seems as robust as I would expect it to be, not flimsy by any standards and I have no worries leaving my pup with it. I expect bit will be a favourite with her for years.

Best treat ball I've purchased so far. Within the interior are little shelves which trap treats inside, releasing when the ball moves in a certain direction. I have a very clever Spaniel who has worked out how to get treats quickly from all previous toys, this one is keeping her amused and doesn't release all the treats too quickly, or too frustratingly slowly. The rubber is strong, but has give, unlike previous treat balls, so it doesn't damage furniture when she over enthusiastically chases it around the room, and it doesn't echo against laminate flooring.Only down side is, it can't be taken apart to clean, so is suitable for dry treats only.

Gorge loves his new activity ball, it is softer than his last one, which was a hard plastic. This on is rubber. This size ball holds 1/3 of his daily food allowance. I like it because he has to spend longer to get all the dog food out due to the baffles inside. It is very sturdy and George can play quite hard with it,rolling it all over the kitchen. It does get a bit dirty on the out side (boxer slobber) but is easy enough to clean with a small brush (I use an old tooth brush) just remember to keep a finger in the hole so water cant get in. Dont try washing inside cos you will never get it dry.

This treat ball has a built in labyrinth inside which means that the dogs have to work a little harder to get their treats and it certainly takes them longer to get them all out. Both of my dogs (a staffy and a jack russell) love these balls as they are a softer rubber than the traditional plastic treat balls. This means that the balls bounce as well as rolling around and are much more fun to play with. I have found that they are also quieter than the plastic treat balls when used on hard floors and will be buying a couple more of them to have as spares in case my 2 girls manage to lose one.

After browsing through the expanses of Amazon for a suitable dog toy I came across this ball. As our dog, like most, is obsessed with food I decided to get it. It arrived rather promptly and I was suitable impressed. It consists of a number of walls inside the ball that provide a puzzle as the dog tries to get the food out. It is made from durable rubber that has survived even our rather 'playful' dog. It is simple but has provided her with hours of fun for a relatively low price. I would definitly recommend this to anyone with a dog that is motivated by food! Well worth the 5 stars!
