LONG REVIEW BUT THIS COULD TURN TOUR LIFE AROUND! Skip to end if you want to know how these work and how you can use them. If there is one thing you should absorb, then it’s this!Is this you:Researched hours of how to train you’re dog not to do this and that, online. Tried every technique and thought I give up! Your dog just makes you look a fool, doesn’t respond and everything you’ve tried is a waste of time! Money wasted etc! Well please, please, please read my story and I’ll try and keep it short as how these discs are A LIFE SAVER!!!!! Still can’t beluve it was this simple! My life:So I have a 2 year old male cavachon. He is a lap dog, super affectionate ( my lap is his bed),he follows me about the house, listens to me (in the house) when treats are involved. He can give me paw, spin, sit, etc. Here is a list of his bad traits:- DOOR GOES, he barks, jumps and basically goes nuts. Me opening the door is stressful for me, as i can’t concentrate on visitor as he is barking, escaping and jumping. He does not listen! I get embarrassed!-WALKING OUTSIDE, he pulls like crazy, I’ve tried every lead(face collar etc) REGARDLESS HE PULLS! Tried the stop when he pulls, change direction, treat etc- nope doesn’t work. He is a complete different dog when out the house (sound familiar) He won’t be off a lead or he’d chase the birds for hours!MEETING DOGS ON WALK: he goes crazy, barking, jumping, pulling my arm off. He is stressed and so am I, as well as mortified! He is soooo laid bk in house. It confuses me how chalk and cheese he is It frustrates the hell out of me!So I buy these discs, yip another item, probably bin bound! NOPE! Miracles do happen!SOLUTION FOUND!!!!So incase you don’t know how to use them or the idea behind them read on.The idea is when your dog is stressed/hyper they don’t hear us humans. But they hear these! Now, this is important:YOU MUST NEVER LET YOUR DOG SEE YOU USE THESE! YOU CANNOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH THESE DISCS! Never ever! Why? Your dog must think something HE done, made that scary noise! Not, that it came from you! Think of it like this...he goes near a big juicy steak, but suddenly clunk, he hears a scary noise. He looks at you, to see if he was caught by u, but you aren’t looking! That noise happened because something he done...he associates the steak with the noise. Better stay away! Now if he saw you looking, or you making noise with discs, what would happen? Next time he would wait to try again, when you are out the room! You may think your dog won’t be frightened by the noise of tiny discs, but it’s a unique noise, a noise they have never sniffed around or explored. So like anything new, or different, they shy away from till they know and explore it. These discs though, they never get to see. They never get to know they are safe, so they can’t relax. Make sense? The discs are the only negative reinforcement! Treat and praise them when they do right. They must see you as a giant steak! Stay near my owner...food. Stay in my bed...food. Go near a door...nothing and that horrid noise again! It’s quite simple realy but takes a while to introduce because we are human! Our thinking is different to a dogs. I cannot believe how different my dog is because a few discs! It boggles my head, but I do understand why they work.Introduce your dog to discs:Place sausage/an fab treat he can’t resist on floor, if he goes to eat it without you saying “take it” rattle bells behind your back and remove sausage. Don’t look at him or show discs. I won’t lie this was tricky. Trying to remove sausage just before he got it. He’s so fast! Now, your dog may freak and hide away under table when you introduce discs. It’s strange for them. Be patient. Try again in half hour, if dog gets too freaked. Repeat, place sausage bk until dog understands. Within 5 MINUTES my dog learned! He would let the sausage sit on floor, until I gave the command. Within 1 day, he left it on floor even when I went out the room! AMAZING!STOPPED PULLING ON WALK ALMOST IMMEDIATELY!!!! I now can hold his lead with my pinky, loosely! INCREDIBLE! Attach his lead to collar, not a no pull harness or face collar in sight! As soon as he pulled I shook the discs in my pocket, he leapt and freaked. By the time I got to the school, four rattles later. He was trotting beside me! No I am not Lying, this is genuinely true! Gobsmacked! I had the biggest grin walking home with a perfect pooch! Trotting like an elegant shoe horse beside me! Ever since first day I’ve only had to use the discs when approaching other dogs. Once he hears them he pipes down!Ive trained him to stay in “place” (a bed in living room). So when door goes he doesn’t come out it, he barks tho. I’ve not tackled the barking when door goes YET, as I’m at the door with a guest. That’s a two person job, next on the list! But wow, he stays in living room!Another tip! DO NOT let your dog up on the couch without permission(then of course it’s fine!), go down or up the stairs BEFORE you!, exit/enter the gate before you! It’s about the hierarchy and believe me it helps a lot! It’s not cruel, a dog pack doesn’t live or think like us humans! Don’t mistake their big cute eyes for “they’re so sad”. ALWAYS give them LOT’S of praise and treats when in place, when calm and listening. Make them think you are that big juicy steak! Sitting gets then food, listening gets them food! Have boundaries.Give these discs a try. Change your way of thinking. You’ll honestly fall in love with your dog all over again! Less stress, embarrassment, frustration! Better communication is achieved with these!Last note...if your dog has a fear of noises, is very edgy, I would consult a dog trainer before using these! You don’t want to make an underlying fear behaviour worse.Hope I have helped at least one doggy owner, connect with their dog better!

Purchased for my cat (he's a large breed and very intelligent so I do play games for little dogs with him etc and I thought I'd have a go with these) who keeps overgrooming himself. I'm trying to get him out of the habit of itSome success. Though mainly he just looks at me like I'm a complete idiot. That's ok though because he spends most of his time looking at me as if I'm some sort of idiot haI have not used with a dog. Though I did have a dog for many years (my current flat is only cat friendly unfortunately so no pooch at the moment!) and know a fair amount on dog training. I trained my dog using clicker training, which is based on rewarding good behaviour and gaining the dogs attention. In my opinion, stressing that I haven't used with a dog) I think these would probably have worked quite well for deterring bad behaviour

Recommended to us by a dog behaviourist for various issues and boy I wished we had known about them several years ago. Results were immediate and we have been using them for a little over a week now to desensitise our dog to different situations. So far has (1) stopped him barking at almost everything, (2) lunging and barking at motorbikes, cyclists, etc and (3) unwanted behaviour around other dogs and cats. They have to be introduced in the proper manner, used in a consistent way so as to establish firm boundaries in terms of what is acceptable or not. A big thank you to Ross McCarthy - Dog Behaviourist .......... we feel as though we have a different dog now !!

This is so easy to use - to stop dogs barking or jumping up, we now just have to pick it up and the dogs stop barking, lightweight but effective - cheapest on the market but does the job - we ordered three so had one each and a spare - within one week dogs had learnt - treats when quiet and not jumping up lovely calm house now - took it on holiday and it worked there, going to take out when walking the 2 yr old bitch as she at the moment barks at dogs and cant take all of them out together for walks -

Such a simple little thing which actually, if I wasn't so lazy, I could probably have made myself (or something similar). But surprisingly effective.I have a terrier with an extremely high prey drive, which means that once he is focused on something he wants, no amount of shouting or bribery can distract him from it. Just a quick shake of this makes a noise which is just enough to have him focus on me for a split second, so I can draw his attention away myself.Well worth the money.

Used these many years back when first had dogs and had forgot about how easy they were to use.Just the noise of them being picked up now is enough for my dog to stop running full belt through the house.Next challenge to see if can stop our little dog barking at every single noise she hears and already looking good, as is settling down very quickly once she hears them rattle, just need to make sure we have them to hand when required :)

I love it but my hyper-aggressive shih tzu doesn't! Met a lass in the park who kept her dog with similar behavioural problems in check with a set of these, ordered by phone in the park and delivered next day. Demonstrated how they worked to me and I noticed my lad had a similar response to the sounds. A god send! Check up around the internet how to use them appropriately because these can be misused.

Have used these in the past with a diffrent dog who wouldn't listen to anything so was difficult to interrupt the behaviour, they worked perfectly for that dog so when the new dog started to steal thing we thought we would give it a try. However, this time they were thrown on the floor to which he immediately picked up and proceeded to prance around the house with.

Fantastic training aid, works wonders with our 7 month old pup, she was a barker now I only have to show her the disc and she stops bless her, also good when she decided to get out of the front door and run, she has no recall skills at mo and was hard getting her back, I threw the disc on the floor and she about turned and ran straight home, a great aid.

These discs are great for using as a non-physical punishment. Can be highly effective. They are a powerful tool. Please do not use unless you know what you are doing, can cause anxiety and fear associated with the owner if mis-used. For professional use only. Introduce carefully under supervision of animal behaviourist or experienced pet trainer.

Discs make no noise when lying inside each other and they fit easily in my hand until needed. Excellent way to get the dogs attention as the noise they make when they are shaken is unique in the dogs environment both inside and outside. Really helps to emphasise that some behaviours are unwanted without ever raising my voice.

Tried to stop my dog barking for 4 plus years without success. I found some old training discs we had for another dog and they have provided the perfect results. So bought these so that we both have some and within less than 2 weeks the barking has been reduced by at least 75%. I am thrilled.

Having tried numerous training quick fixes for a very determined jack Russell these were amazing. Once charged I had to get this from a friend who recommended them,mr hey were brilliant and still are very very effective. Only 4 stars because no instructions with them about how to start off.

I had these for my rescue in October 2017, I no longer use them don't need them anymore. Have ordered about another 6 for friends who also think they are very good! They stop the dog in its tracks through the shock of them then after a couple of times they don't repeat the behaviour.

24.3.2015

Brilliant - i had advice from a dog trainer on technique. Now I have dogs that will walk past other dogs without going ballistic, and ones that will leave food until I say. I think it may have been hard to use as well without having the personal training session.
