When you have a ball obsessed dog who will bring you a rock to throw for her, its hard to imagine her being unhappy with an actual ball. Especially not one that fits into the ball launcher. And squeaks. Oh my - is that the definition of a happy dog! I love the chuck it balls, I have to say. I used to use tennis balls in the launcher but the dogs like to chomp on them while returning them, and though the jaw workout may feel good to them, it doesn't do the tennis ball any favors. I could start with a brand new tennis ball and after 30 minutes it looked quite "aged" and generally had almost no bounce left. By contrast, the chuck it balls are thick rubber and the dogs can exercise their jaws all they like - the balls not only can take it - they don't show any signs of abuse at all. I am definitely a convert to spending a little more for a ball that will last for months, than to keep buying tennis balls that only last for minutes. Where we lose the chuck it balls is to our pond. We live in a rural setting and when the dogs get hot they stop by the pond for a drink on the way back. Inevitably the ball is "set down" in the water while they drink and it sinks immediately. In most cases we never see it again. If it weren't for that, a ball might last for years but as it is, we do have to replace those lost to the pond - but have never yet replaced a ball because it was cracked, damaged or had lost its bounce.

My golden retriever LOVES this ball and this ball only. We fetch with it, we swim with it. He lays and chews on it to try and get the squeaker out of it for hours. It lasts forever! (just not the squeaker part). But yeah... it's his FAVORITE ball/squeaky toy all in one. We use the size large. I LOVE how it floats in water so he can swim and fetch that way too. Just be careful if your dog is able to tear a hole in it or tear the squeaker off/out, then it will not float and will sink. This has happened to my poor dog before and he kept swimming around looking for it. Lucky for him, momma knows better and always keeps a new (second/backup) one on hand.I threw it out to where he was swimming and he was so HAPPY that he "found" his missing ball that he was looking for, for 5 minutes. The happy and proud look on his face was priceless. Like "Oh! There you are! Mom see! I got it!" It was the CUTEST thing, he was none the wiser. So yeah I always have a back up on hand when we are swimming! On land though, he will continue to play and fetch with it even with the squeaker torn off/out. He just LOVES this ball. We have gone though countless ones, some he lost, some he dropped and we couldn't find, some sank, but again and again I repurchase. It's cheaper here than in pet stores. Would definitely recommend and obviously have repurchased!

This small size version at exactly 2" wide diameter is a good size for smaller dogs, most balls are much bigger that I find. It's a very thick, heavy textured style with TWO squeaker holes. It has very deep channels for the change of color from blue to orange areas. The name brand is also stamped very deeply in it. Because of all this, I found bouncing it straight up to be very difficult without watching it to make sure it's not on any grooves or holes. I get about a 5-6' foot initial bounce, on the second bounce it drops off to only 3-4' feet tops.My two Shih Tzu/Poodle mixes are very picky. He (about 20 lbs) only likes to chase balls, she (25 lbs) on the other hand, only likes to catch balls in mid bounce and is very good at it. He likes the very soft ones, preferably ones with nubs to massage the gums. She likes the tiny ones, these toy tennis balls the size of ping pongs. Neither chews them for more then 5-10 seconds before getting bored, they only like to chew real food.Neither cared for it, and I can't get him to chase it. She is VERY skiddish, afraid of the squeaker & even on a good day is kinda scared to catch it possibly because it's much heavier then what she's used to.I think other dogs may like this ball though, it is made well, I just don't like all the grooves that get in the way of the bounce.

I have two Mini Aussies (9 years, 25 pounds + 13 weeks, 15 pounds). They love the squeak this ball makes! As advertised, it's different than the type of squeaking you normally get in squeak balls. It's more intense, but not in a way that's incredibly annoying to the human ear or anything. Seems like the way they made it more intense was by making the squeak duration last longer after you press down. As such, it takes a little more physical effort to press down and get it to squeak than other squeak balls. I'm actually not even sure if my dogs have ever bitten down hard enough to squeak it themselves, which is fine by me. I prefer to be the one doing the squeaking during play time.If I'm just using it as a normal ball without squeaking it,they still prefer some of their other ChuckIt balls over this one. But when squeaked, it's an excellent attention grabber and especially gets my low key 9 year old riled up and ready to play!Lastly, just keep in mind it definitely seems heavier than other ChuckIt balls if that makes a difference to you or not. My 9 year old has missing (and also weak) teeth. So when I toss it to her, I make sure never to toss it too high up. Not a complaint, just something you might want to keep in mind.I'd definitely recommend this ball if your dog(s) love squeaking.

We have two German Shepherds who love toys that squeak, but they have strong jaws and tend to destroy toys pretty quickly. As soon as I pulled this out of the box and gave it a squeeze, they were two feet away from me ready to take over. It's sturdy, the squeaker is loud, and yet it's soft enough to not worry about it damaging anything in the house. I noticed the older of our two pups (age 3) tried to get his teeth in between the blue and orange sections and nibble at it, but it didn't come apart at all. The medium seemed to be a little small for dogs the size of German Shepherds for two reasons - it's not as much of a challenge for them to chomp on and it easily rolls under furniture and requires frequent retrieving by human friends.Regardless, the ball has held up to-date and is one of their favorite go-to items when it's time to be bouncy and loud (which is pretty much when they're awake). I decided to order the large size after receiving this medium one. We have two dogs and the large seems like a more appropriate size for 110-lb and 70-lb (but still growing) GSDs. I'll probably order a second large ball because dogs are just like children and always want what the other one has.

I have a very energetic Lab-Weimaraner mix who is also a very destructive chewer, but these hold up great! He tends to destroy toys with squeakers even more quickly because he loves to make them squeak, so he will sit and just chew on them forever. Usually, this destroys most toys within a day or two, but these Chuck it squeaker balls are still going strong and still squeaking! He even put a few holes in the ball in the first day, and it still squeaks. I highly recommend these Chuck it balls for any dog owner, but especially if you have a destructive chewer!Just in case anyone is wondering what size to get their dog,I bought the medium size to go in our Chuck it thrower and I bought the large size to play with in the house because the large ball is easier to get out of our 75 lb Lab-Weimaraner's mouth with my hands. Both sizes work well for our dog and I also got the medium for my sister-in-law's mini Aussie (25-30 lbs and he's overweight, so he's pretty small), and that size works great for her dog.

Our Chocolate Labrador Girl, Marissa, is pretty picky about her toys. She has really taken a shine to the Chckit Chuckit Ultra Squeaker Ball and it's stood up to the kind of punishment Labs are famous for.My only complaint was that when ordering this from Vine, it was delayed longer than the delivery time that was estimated on the order. Marissa was pretty excited about the prospect of getting a new toy, but was sorely disappointed when it didn't get here on time. Any parent can tell you that explaining these kinds of things to a child - even our furred children , can be difficult. When it finally arrived, Marissa was overjoyed! The squeaker was loud and the bounce was high enough to keep her interested. We've had other balls in the past, such as one made by Kong that was too hard on her sensitive mouth. Marissa will play with whomever will throw her ball to her pretty much till she's tuckered out. As shown in the picture, she is taking a break after play time on the deck.

The Chuckit rubber balls of all types and sizes are by far the most reasonable priced durable dog toys of any I have ever purchased. My dog has a collection of them and will not pick up let along play with any other brand ball. She know the difference of each even if they are the same size and shape. Depending on her mood she gets her mind set on the "squeaky" while of times she wants the "whistler or the erratic" and will search the entire house till she finds the chosen one. She accepts no substitutes even if they are right under her nose! Reminds me everyday how smart dogs are. I have replacements of each hidden away just in case one disappears to avoid having to go to a pet store immediately to find an emergency replacement that they may or may not have in stock. So far we have all the originals brought 3.5 yrs ago as they are never far from my dog. Other then dog food, collar, and leash Chuckit Balls are the are a must I'm my house.

I have a new 5 month old rescue puppy who is growing bigger daily a la Clifford the Big Red Dog. She was predicted to be 40-50 lbs, but at 5 months, she is already 46 lbs. So much for the predictions! She is also a lab mix, which means she is very mouthy and likes to chew everything. I have been buying the chuckit brand products for her and all of them have held up great. The chuckit ultra sequeaker ball is a brightly colored rubber ball with a built-in squeeker. Like a lot of dogs, she makes it her mission to remove that squeeker at any cost. So far, this ball has held up to her constant chewing and is still squeeking just fine. It has a bit of a bounce to it, so it is fun to toss around and let her chase it.It is tough product and I highly recommended for breeds that like to chew or puppies that just need something to do while their mature teeth come in. It is nice to have another tough toy option beyond the "K" brand.

My dog LOVES these balls! Being an avid fan of ball and chewing, I wanted a ball that he could not destroy. Well, Chuckit, your Ultra Squeaker Ball is the best of the best! Extremely durable, high bounce action, and the small is the perfect size for a 10 lb dog. Also, they have a distinct scent-when the package arrived from Amazon, my pup knew instantly that the box was for him. He kept sniffing the air and whining while staring at the box...when I placed the box on the ground, he had the box open within 45 seconds!!! He even pulled each one out of it's package. I have found only 2 drawbacks: my dog pesters me until i give him this ball; the other is with the squeaker which is really high pitched-but I have found the other Chuckit products too....he has learned how to "trade" his toys now.And if he wants the squeaker ball, he brings multiple toys to barter for his favorite!!!

I keep coming back to this toy for my very aggressive lab/german shepherd mix time and time again! The squeaker breaks quite quickly, which is good because it's annoying - BUT, the ball just won't stop bouncing and it never breaks apart. I am a year in with my first set. My dog LOVES chasing down this ball at the dog park and every other throw running into the small dog pool to cool down, chewing this ball the whole time. I also use these balls when my dog goes to a Dock Diving competition. They float. LOVE IT! I knew a black lab that died from playing fetch with a tennis ball. I will not allow any of my dogs to play with tennis balls or any balls of that size. IF you want a ball that withstands aggressive chewing, stays bouncy, and floats....this is the ball for you. Combine it with the large chuck-it ball flinger and it's a match made in heaven! Enjoy.

I have a 16 month old Labrador who loves to run for squeaky balls, however, she is a voracious chewer and can and has destroyed many squeaky balls(in my search for the indestructible) within minutes...these balls have proved to be the only ones that I have found that she can't destroy. I have now bought 6 in total (only because we have lost a few and because they are her favourite so want some kept in case we loose any as she isn't interested in any other ball). She will run for them without stopping and every day starts with 30 minutes full on,non stop running with these..it has the squeak that she loves and the indestructibility that I really appreciate (also very good work out for the old bingo wings?)happy, exhausted, and therefore chilled out dog when her morning excercise is finished and therefore very happy owner. Highly recommended.

My boy (3 year old rescue pitbull) and I only use this ball for games of fetch, monkey in the middle, and guard. He is a heavy chewer and therefore not allowed to have anything like that at any other time. That being said, he popped the squeaker within the first game of guard the ball. He likes to tease when guarding the ball by squeaking it. Needless to say I paniced and yelled "let go" when I realized the ball did not squeak any more as he was biting down on it. He dropped it and I was out there frantically sweaping his mouth with my finger thinking squeaker popped out of the ball. Lucily it stayed in the ball but it gave me a scare. The ball is still usable for the above mentioned games, just not as fun ( for me; I don't think Kino cares one way or another) I really do wish the squeaker were better though. But overall a good purchase

I do wish that this came in a larger size, closer to a softball, so that it didn't roll under the couch. Other than that, so far so good. It has only been a couple days, but it has managed to last for my mom's dog, and he usually would have broken it by now. *Update: It lasted about 3 months as far as the squeaky went, the ball is still intact though.*Good thickness and construction. Hopefully the squeaker doesn't die on us as he absolutely loves laying down and squeaking this. *Update. It lasted about 3 months as far as the squeaky went, the ball is still intact though.* Got one for my dog as well, and it is good for him too, but he is not as nearly of a strong chewer. *Update: his is still very much intact, squeaky and all, but he barely plays with it now. I gave his to my mom's dog, lets see how long the squeaky lasts there.*
