Update:Fantastic balls! Until the end of May this year, we'd had the same two balls since 4 September 2016. During those 9 months they had been thrown, chased, caught, bounced on concrete surfaces, and chewed, yet they were still in 'as new' condition. In March I wrote "I don't know how the manufacturer makes money because they are truly virtually indestructible". And two months later I lost one! I threw it into the sea in Cornwall, for Polly to retrieve, and the tide took it away. We still have one of the originals, plus two new ones - ordered the night it was cast out to sea, because my ball maniac could not do without it (we'd left one at home 300 miles away). These balls are more at risk of loss than splitting or being chewed into pieces. Love them.Original Review:I have a ball-crazy Staffy. She constantly brings balls to me hoping I’ll play with her, and throws them around by herself if I won’t. She trashes a tennis ball in 2 minutes - pulling the fluffy fabric off, splitting it in half down the seam, and then chewing it to pieces. So tennis balls were banned, as were all dog balls bar the hard solid rubber ones….. but, although not a chewer normally, she does chew her way through them if left to play alone with one. Her teeth just sink into them, and I find little bits everywhere. The solid rubber balls are heavy, and I can't throw them far. They strain my neck, shoulder, and elbow, when I launch them with a thrower. Also, they are too hard and heavy for Polly to catch from a height or a distance, and I’m always afraid they’ll dislocate her jaw when catching them from a height. Her ‘friends’ have different Chuckit balls (whistlers, rebounders, and glow balls, which don’t float) and, whilst looking to buy her a set of these, I came across these Ultra balls - which looked far better for my dog. I read some of the 1300+ reviews for the Ultra balls, and I must say I was sceptical about them being virtually indestructible in a Staffy’s jaws. But, we’ve had them for two weeks now, played with them daily, and they are absolutely amazing - so far!Within minutes, on the day they arrived, I heard one of them squelching as she brought it back to me and my heart sank. I thought she had punctured it already, but then I discovered the secret of this amazing ball, and what makes it almost indestructible. There’s a tiny hole, in a groove, which allows the ball to squash between the teeth/jaws, pushing the air out, and preventing the teeth from penetrating its strong textured rubber. The squelching was Polly's slobber, in the hole. Amazing!I’m over the moon with these balls. Initially I thought they were rather expensive for a dog ball, but now I don’t begrudge a penny of their cost. The medium size seems to fit all types of standard sized launchers. I’ve owned dogs (as an adult) for over 40 years - three of which were Staffies - and I’ve never before been able to go out and leave my dog at home alone with a ball to occupy itself, without it being destroyed. In a short time, these balls will more than pay for themselves. I’m paranoid about losing them (as they are so bouncy) but, in the event that we do, I won’t hesitate to replace them with the same. They've given us so much pleasure already.IF MY REVIEW HAS BEEN HELPFUL, PLEASE CLICK ON THE ‘YES’ BUTTON, BELOW. THANK YOU.

UPDATE: 18+ months later & we still LOVE these balls! Every single ball we have bought (that hasn’t been lost or pilfered) is still going strong. We have 3 dogs (100# GSD, Lab/Pit mix, Chihuahua) who play with them daily & none have had to be retired yet (the balls - not the dogs!). A few that accidentally got left outside in the forest behind our house all winter (again to clarify, talking about the balls :) have faded slightly and may even have slightly less “bounce” to them - but that in no way affects their ability to be thrown by us or caught by the dogs. In fact the German Shepherd actually prefers the older balls as they are more “squishy” than new balls lol...(NOTE: One precaution: be careful when playing with these inside! Our dogs have recently started playing a game of bump volleyball with their noses - which sends the balls flying in all sorts of unintended directions! Such as the wide screen TV! Apparently just catching short indoor fly balls got boring so they invented this new game. Thus after 2 close calls with the TV screen we now only use the Indoor version of this ball for playing in the Family Room. That is a soft-ball sized foam & terry cloth type ball; obviously not indestructible like this ball is - but the expense of replacing those regularly is worth it to me.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Love Love Love! Dogs cannot destroy this ball. And for some reason they just love to play with it - with or without the Chuck-it. Inside and outside. No idea why, but they love it and I'm glad they can't chew it up.These are the LARGE size which is one size bigger than a tennis ball. Works great for the 100# German Shepherd and even the 50# Lab/Pit has no problems running with it in her mouth when she plays keep-a-way with the other dogs. It’s a struggle for the 14# Chi but he can just manage it if he’s determined. Fits the Large Size Chuck-It.Just wish I knew where they kept hiding them all, so I didnt have to keep buying more. Maybe the dogs are in kahoots with Amazon? Recently found one dogs stash of 5 of them.... Why would she horde them? I don't know, so I just wait for them to go on sale and buy more of them. A lot more of them - because I can’t ever be without one of these within arms reach to get the dogs away from me when I need some alone time.

Finally a toy Jr. Samples didn’t destroy in less than an hour. It’s got something he enjoys immensely in it’s crunchy composition that satisfies his urge to chew and he refrains from tearing it to shreds. There are no holes in it and it’s solid unlike other balls, including other chuck it versions. It doesn’t bounce like it did when it first arrived, but it’s not a problem because it can be chucked. Once he gets it, he doesn’t like giving it back anyway. I got on here to order a few more because my other dog Sammy took off with this one today and when she returned hours later ( I live in a few acts in the hills), the ball was not with her. She has a habit of hiding things and he often figures out where, but until he does there’s hell to pay. Speaking of paying, I cannot believe I bought the ball for under $5 less than a week ago and it’s now almost $8. In fact, I am appalled by the way Amazon and other companies are jacking up prices in the face of this crisis. While I may need to order things given there is not toilet paper left in my county and the stores have many empty shelves, I am going to be very particular about my purchases. If and when this mess is resolved, I will not be shoppping with any one that exploited this terrible situation for profit. Amazon doesn’t even need to do this given the immense wealth it has accumulated. I’ve been a loyal customer since they started and were selling just books, which I used to buy a lot of before ebooks came along. However, as much as I enjoy the way I can shop here, including kindle, prime, audible and more, I’ve had it with greedy swine. My limited power is in boycotting and encouraging you to do the same. I swore off Walmart over a decade ago. I got a bag of dog food here last month and was furious to see it was from Walmart. I don’t want to support that evil empire or this one. Thrift stores and yard sales alone with what is left of small business can supply my needs or I will have to go without. By the way, the ball makes a little noise but nothing like the squeaky ones that drive you to ear buds, like my stay if you had to hear me complain about the unethical practices of amazon and Walmart.

My two dogs tend to destroy all toys. Of all the dogs I've had over my life, my current two are the most impressive in their destructive wrath. After chasing something, it is their sole aim. Particularly my staffy cross, with her strong jaws and meticulous surgical techniques of dismantling items. They especially love playing with balls, but a tennis ball is torn to shreds in 30 seconds of me turning my attention elsewhere. I've tried many types with no luck, which up until now has been a shame because they really do love them. After reading the reviews on this product, I figured I'd try it out. And I've gone from buying two to now purchasing six of them. Not because they're torn at all,but so that I can throw more around for my pups (they struggle with the 'give it back' concept). My dogs have had these for nearly two months now, and you can hardly tell by looking at the balls. They have the occasional chew mark, but it's not very noticeable. Oh they try to tear them, and I've even left them for awhile to try, but they aren't succeeding to make a dent.I've seen one or two reviews where one splits down the middle but still holds its form. I have yet to see this even with my shredders, and even if I did at some point later on, these have a absolutely served their purpose. I suspect those reports are from a random flaw with that specific ball, which you'd get with any product. If it was a standard problem, mine would have likely managed to create such a tear by now with the hours they have spent chewing it.I will be buying this specific ball from now until the end of days. It has been such a great experience for my dogs, and so comforting to not have to worry about swallowed bits or a mess to clean up. I purchased the medium size, as one of the two is a bit smaller, and they work well. I also bought a small size pack and haven't used them yet, as that size is really the size for toy dogs specifically. I'm not returning them, because as unlikely as it is that I ever get a toy breed, I want these magically made balls just incase. As a veterinarian, I strongly approve of this product!

If your dog is tough on balls, THIS IS THE ONE you've been looking for! One of my Dachshunds is obsessed with playing fetch. Even at nearly 12 years old, she still plays for 1-2 hours per day, and she was going through balls like crazy. I had tried all kinds of balls, and even with supervised play, she was destroying one or two balls EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I was skeptical at first that these would be any different from the other balls I have tried throughout her life. I've tried so many, and they were either destroyed within a day, or she didn't like them. But she LOVES these Chuckit! balls, and she hasn't managed to put a single mark on one yet!I just can't believe how perfect these balls are. They bounce, they're easily washed off if they get covered in slime/dirt/sand/whatever, and they're not porous, so they don't absorb anything gross. They're nice and firm, but not hard, and they have some give, so I don't have to worry about her teeth. Most importantly, they're SO tough! I have been using the same ball for two months, and it still looks exactly like it did when I took it out of the package, even though it's been played with for well over 100 hours since then. Two months might not seem like a long time, but I used to consider myself lucky if a ball lasted just ONE DAY, so two months seems like forever to me. I also love that they come in all different sizes. Finding a truly sturdy ball for a small dog is not easy! They tend to be really flimsy. The makers of those flimsy balls haven't met my dog and her jaws of steel. But these Chuckit! balls fit perfectly in her mouth, and are every bit as tough and sturdy as the balls for bigger dogs.I just wish I had found these years ago. They would have saved me a lot of money and frustration! I know, I sound like a crazy person, getting so excited about dog balls, but I have been looking for the perfect ball for more than 10 years, and I've FINALLY FOUND IT!

My dogs really love this ball. It is very bouncy and very durable and it floats. My Lab destroys most of the tennis ball types of balls but this has been going strong for months and both dogs love it. I just ordered 3 more to always have extras in the event this ever becomes unavailable. This is a very high quality dog toy (ball). The price is reasonable and I haven't seen this particular ball anywhere that I've looked for dog toys so far. There are multiple sizes so be sure to get the best one for your dog, the 3 inch ball is the perfect size for both my Lab and my smaller border collie mix, any larger and the smaller dog my have trouble with it. If you have a dog that can puncture other balls soon after you bring them home, this is the one to get.Now for the fulfillment of the order: I ordered 3 balls and received 2 of the balls that I ordered and one ball that that was very different but had the label attached that identified it wrongly as the same ball even though the packaging and ball are clearly different. Let me explain. The balls I like and ordered are Orange with a blue stripe, the 3rd ball is FROG GREEN and odd shaped and has 2 holes to place a rope through the center. Someone had the order in hand and had trouble figuring out that one of these balls what not like the other. I have included a photo of the order so you can understand how hard it might be to get this order wrong. :) While I don't feel that this is in any way representative of their standards, it is something that needs to be addressed. I'm sure that they will fix this but I order a lot of stuff from Amazon to avoid having to deal with the time and hassle of shopping for stuff and I'm not really excited to pack stuff up and ship it back so I hope this is just an anomaly and not the beginning of a trend.

Bought this as my dog loves to play ball. However, she is also a fully certified tennis ball destroyer! Her favourite tactic is to strip the ball of all of its fur and then pierce it and chew it to bits. It keeps her entertained for half an hour but, as you can imagine, leaves an awful mess. I chanced upon this ball and, after reading some of the reviews, decided to give it a go. When I received the ball, I unpacked it and looked at it and thought....this hasn't got a chance. It has a hard(ish) outer layer but as you squeeze (or chew) on it, it slowly deflates a little. This is actually a great little trick as it does not allow your dog to gnaw on it, like they would do a hard rubber ball. Also,as it naturally deflates only a little, the dog is unable to get it down enough to give it the killer chew of doom and therefore rip it to shreds. My dog is a whippet and I bought the large ball and it fits in her mouth perfectly. Although I know she has a very powerful bite, obviously hers will be less powerful than that of a Staffie for example so just be vigilant if buying for a powerful jawed dog. Overall, had this ball for over a week now and it is still in excellent condition! If you have a dog that loves to play chase and killing standard tennis balls, you cant go wrong with this one.UPDATE: Had this ball for very nearly a month now and it is still going strong. She loves it and it is played with every day. She seems to love the fact that it deflates a little so, in her mind, she's getting close to destroying it.....but she wont! Couldn't be more made up with this ball. An excellent purchase. I have attached a photo as I know people like to see the ball in action and also so they can see the size.

These balls are a godsend to any dog owners who's furry friends have jaws like a crocodile.I had been buying tennis balls from Tesco and my boy would destroy maybe 3-4 a week, so as you could imagine it was becoming costly. I thought i would give a few different balls a chance that i picked up from my local pet store. These balls suffered the same fate as many balls before them as my cross breed is a savage. I done some research online and read some reviews about these chuckit ultra balls and thought i would give them a try. I got the pack of 2 back 5-6 months ago and i can tell you now i still have them both. My boy gets taken to the park 2-3 times a day and plays with these balls constantly and i kid you not they barely have a mark on them. They are really bouncy to so if they hit a hard surface they go a lot further and make it funny to watch your pooch try catch them.I recommend these balls to every dog owner i meet and they seem very surprised when i tell them how long i have had them as im sure you would be to when you see how much of a chewing they get from my boy.Overall these balls i would say should be a must have for any dog that loves to chase a ball and if im honest they have saved me so much money as im not sending tennis balls to the slaughter anymore.I pair this with a chuckit pocket ball launcher and im so glad i did.Dont read any more reviews dont look any further go up to the top and click buy now.You will thank me later. If you have found this review helpful please click the helpful button as i do enjoy helping others make informed decisions on purchases.

So I was pretty loathed to pay over 6 quid for a dog ball.... They arrived today, I took my lab out for her routine 3 hours. Firstly I couldn't find definite confirmation of the size, but this 2.5" size fits a standard ball launcher perfectly, and to start with the ball was awesome so much bouncier than a tennis ball, and on the terrain we walk through the wierd and wonderful angles of bounce was tying her up in knots.....I was chuckling. After 25 minutes she pierced the ball, I think she was getting a little annoyed that the ball was so tricky to pin down as quick as she would like, as she has a gentle mouth, but there it was..... 1 canine tooth sized puncture. The ball now functions with about 70% of the original bounce,in my estimations the ball is heavier than a regular tennis ball and so fly's further and higher, and even with the hole still bounces significantly higher, it still floats, and for the money I hope it lasts for as long as I can throw it straight and out of trouble. She seemed to enjoy it, but I'm not sure she wouldn't enjoy chasing a house brick.UPDATE..... So almost 1 year on, these balls are the best ever. they fit standard ball launcher, previously I thought my dog had pierced the ball.....she had not, it is designed that way, unless you own a dog that has to destroy what is in their mouth, this ball will last and last. excellent bounce, flight, floats well, great hi-viz colour. The only way you'll need to replace them is if you lose them. It is such a good ball that I have ordered 4 more before they realise and downgrade the quality!! BEST BALL EVER!

We adopted a lab mix puppy about 3 months ago.. he is approximately 1 years old and has gone from 40 to 65lbs in the 3 months we have had him.He is a VERY active dog and loves to chew.. one of his favorite activities is to run around the yard with LOGS (not little sticks or branches) and then eventually lie down to chew them to pieces.I bought the 3" Ultra Ball and the Mega Launcher, and we couldn't be happier. The launcher makes it possible for me to throw the ball all the way up the hill with no effort; plus when he brings it back all dirty I can use the launcher to pick it up, so I don't have to grab it with my hands. We have had this for 3 weeks now, and despite the fact that he constantly chews (actually more like compresses it),he has not punctured or otherwise damaged the ball in any way.(A completely different story with the soft "tennis" type ball that came with the launcher, that lasted maybe 10 minutes).Even if these balls were only to last a month I would consider it well worth the money, but so far there is nothing to indicate that they shouldn't last much longer than that.Obviously these are fetch toys, not chew toys; so if you are going to let your dog lay there with it, and they like to tear toys to pieces, these will probably not last forever; but as I said earlier, it has held up very impressively so far, and our dog likes it as much, or better than his Kong toy.Make sure you buy the rubber ball, and I don't know what the difference is, but I bought the "Ultra Ball", not the Fetch ball.

My 2 year old English Golden can tear through any toy, ball, or tire in record time. I bought her a huge ball made for horses, it was garbage within seconds, not minutes, but seconds. Kongs, Jolly Balls, Extreme Chewer toys last less then 5 minutes and let's not forget about the $50 bone that had to get thrown away before I had the chance to throw the box it came in away. But for less than $10.00 my young Golden girl has met her match. This ball is FANTASTIC!!! She plays with it constantly. She carries this ball around everywhere, chomps on it and no matter how much punishment she gives this ball it remains like brand new even after 6 weeks.I bought the extra large ball for her...she weighs 65 lbs. However the extra large ball is too big for my 14 year old (American) Golden even though he is just about the same weight (62 pounds) and size of my English Golden. I'm not sure why but it might be because they have different facial features but for whatever reason he can't grab the extra large ball in his mouth comfortably so he will only play fetch with the large size of this FABULOUS ball.I am now going to buy some small balls for my 2 Chihuahuas and the extra extra large ball for my Great Pyrenees. ( Thank goodness I only have one chewer in the family but with this ball it really wouldn't really matter anyway.)Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this company for finally doing what noone else could? Well...I love them for making a ball that my Destroyer can't destroy!!!I hope this review helps you.

They’re round, they bounce, and they stand up to constant attempts at destruction. After watching our 85 pound pit bull mix shred through other balls within minutes, I decided to head to the internet to find something that would stand up to his constant chewing. While reading on the internet, I also learned of the dangers that tennis balls can pose to your dogs (primarily the risk of eroding your dog’s teeth and your dog choking on them due to their size).Following a lot of research, I decided on the Chuck it! Large three inch ball. It’s big enough so that a larger dog won’t be able to accidentally swallow and choke on it, but not too big that he can’t get a good grip and run around with it.The ball is light weight, unlike other indestructible balls that are often of heavier weight. The ball is orange and easy to locate in the grass, and it has a lot of bounce to it. It floats in water, and best of all, it has stood up to the teeth of a dog that seems more focused on destroying the ball than actually playing with it.The only negative with the ball is that it gets extremely slimy from the dog’s saliva. I don’t know if this would be the case with all dogs though. But, when using this ball with my dog, I have to bring some paper towels outside to wipe the ball down every so often. So, in conclusion, if you’re looking for a lightweight, floating, easy to find ball that bounces high and offers largely indestructible material for your dog – then this is the ball for you.

Found these balls after finding out Kong and other dog "tennis" balls had damaged my collies teeth in less than 2yrs. The ultra style is the best ball I've ever found. Used with the chuckit "launcher" they go further and bounce higher than any others I've tried. The orange colouring is easily seen by humans and since dogs supposedly only see blue and some purple, (other colours being shades of grey), I guess the blue stripe is visible to canines. My dog absolutely loves them anyway. The only downside is the price. I know "you get what you pay for" but when between us we "lost" 3 balls in one week, I sadly decided I simply couldn't afford them. The first sank like a stone in the canal when I didn't realise the blue version is hollow so not boyant. (Useless for us as my dog takes his ball in any water he finds). The second was lost in woodland when my dog was startled by gunfire and the third disappeared when at the end of a walk, I found at some point the ultra had been substituted for a manky old tennis ball! I quickly became very stressed on walks, having to keep the wonderful but expensive toy in my sights at all times and decided as much as my dog and I loved this ball, I simply couldn't cope with the responsibility of keeping track of expensive balls. If your dog doesn't lose, swap or abandon his balls and you don't stress about the possibility of losing a ball that costs £4 then this is the best ball on the market.

I have a dog that is ball obsessed and can destroy any other ball so quickly it's scary. What's also scary is the amount of money I have spent on other 'indestructiballs'! These balls really do the job. We used to buy thick rubber balls that she would tear apart bit by bit and would last her 3 walks max. Then we tried the really hard balls that she couldn't destroy but had no interest in them because she couldn't 'chew on them' The chuck it balls last her approximately a minimum of 3 months which for me is a huge saving, considering I would by at least 4 rubber balls a week! They initially look a little expensive and after everything I'd tried before I was expecting to be disappointed. But actually really were different to any other ball she had tried. Initially they don't feel like they are going to do the job as they are squidgy but I think that's what makes them so effective. The dog is obsessed with trying to tear it apart and will try for her entire walk (1hr min) and it's ready for the next walk like nothing happened! Not a mark to be seen.I have had one duff ball which seemed to split on the seam and so lasted a lot less than the others but other than that, I've had no problem and wouldn't buy any other. We also get her the glow in the dark ones which are brilliant for dark winter walks. These haven't seemed to last quite as long but still will do a good couple of months.

We have a Lurcher who will make her way through both cheapo and actual (i.e. for the sport) tennis balls in a matter of minutes. After getting tired of buying so many balls to end up just throwing them away in such a short space of time, we took the plunge and parted with the tenner.Well, it was totally worth it. We've had these for several months now, often residing in the dog's bed for when she feels the need to chew on something. Well, after all these months they have the same bounce they had when new, and absolutely no signs of wear on them at all! They have just the right amount of weight to them. In other words, they aren't too heavy when they're sitting in your pocket, yet travel quite far when throwing them manually. They're also light enough to not be in danger of hurting the dogs teeth when they catch them mid-air.They are very bouncy - even on grass - so it's great for keeping the dog on her toes, and adds to the total distance they travel!Buy with confidence, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be buying them again if we ever lose our current set (as she most certainly won't break them!)Edit: Update after a few months use.Still as good as they were when new! Still bouncy and still indestructible. As predicted, I did lose one by accidentally throwing it into a dense forrest, but the other is still going strong. Will definitely buy again.
