If you want to cut to the chase YES THIS PRODUCT WORKS, if you want more details then continue reading. So for starters, we have a 75 pound Doberman whom we call "The Destroyer of All Things". Anything she can tear into (toy wise) she will dismantle in a matter of minutes. It's been very frustrating trying to find toys that will last long enough to occupy her playtime without us feeling like we may as just hand her money to shred up and throw in the garbage.I will say that my dog, however, is also a "picky" destroyer and will not simply chew and destroy and play with just any toy. I bought her a solid hard rubber ball once that weighed a ton and because it was so stiff and had zero give and was actually indestructible (to her standers)but, she played with it for a matter of 30 seconds before never touching it again. If it's too solid and indestructible she gets no satisfaction from it and won't play with it, which is also a waste of money since it's been sitting at the bottom of her toy bin ever since. So trying to find a toy that is a balance of fun for her and durable for our pockets was a hard task, until now.My husband somehow stumbled upon this ball and hopeful from all the glowing reviews (but still skeptical so we wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't work) we ordered it immediately. We have NOT been disappointed thus far and she's had it for a month!! Just like some reviews have said, the squeak did not last long, but that wasn't surprising. Our dog's favorite toys used to be the yellow tennis style kong balls and she'd have the squeak killed in a matter of seconds until it only wheezed and then she'd tear up the ball itself. Which is why we needed to find a replacement that she could shred into tiny rubber pieces all over my floor. This ball really truly was not annoying when is squeaked, until the piercing shrieking noise the Kong tennis balls made this one was pretty chill on the noise level and I didn't mind it at all while it worked. If the squeaker hadn't died I wouldn't have been driven up the wall with the noise and bonus my dog still loved it either way. But, the squeak didn't last long, maybe a few minutes at most. However, I continued and continue to monitor this ball for any other signs of defeat and have yet to find ANY. Not a tooth mark, not a nick, nothing, nada, ZILCH. This ball is soft enough that it has some give when she chomps down on it, but it's durable enough to bounce back and not snap or crack or break under pressure. The give my dog gets from chewing on it keeps her attention because I think it gives her some false sense of hope that she might still be able to destroy it. So even after a month, she's not lost interest. Also, even though the squeak has died when she chomps down on the ball it sort of makes a clicking/suctioning noise which also makes her very happy to play with it. She loves it when we toss it down the hallway because of the softer rubber it has a rather unpredictable bounce and so she never quite knows where it's going to go.Highly recommended and I cannot wait to test out other products from this brand and buy her a couple of more balls to have around the house in replacement to her old Kong balls.

My dogs love this ball. I can't hear the whistle, but perhaps it's a frequency for them rather than humans Also, it didn't seem to glow in the dark last night. It does float in the pool so it can be used as a water toy. Both dogs really go after this when we throw it. It bounces in unpredictable ways which seems to fascinate them. Also, they like the feel of it in their mouths so they eagerly chase it down even if they have to search through the foliage in the yard. It is a supervised only toy at our house, kept in a hanging pot with the other toys out in the yard higher than the dogs can leap. The ball appears to be more durable than it feels, but I suggest watching carefully to be sure it isn't being broken into smaller pieces and ingested. It might be too small for safety with a very large dog and present a choking hazard. It seems to be OK with our 70 Bulldog/Siberian Husky mix and Malinois foster puppy after about a week of use. A good toy for supervised, interactive play.UPDATE: I've had the ball longer now. It is holding up to very hard chewing from the 5 month old Malinois who adores it and will do anything to get it. We have been encouraging her to swim in the pool, and she goes in for this toy. Yesterday, she just held it in her mouth like a pacifier and swam around happily. She will even take it to the edge of the pool and toss it in herself in order to watch it bob up and down so she can "catch" it again. It's sometimes difficult to get her to release it. I never let either dog have it unless they are playing with us. I'm about to buy a second one right now in order to make her "Out" this toy as an exchange. I really no longer care if it whistles. The dogs don't seem to notice; they love it anyway.I added a video showing the Malinois retrieving an Orbee ball from the pool. We bought another one exactly like it since it is her favorite toy. We trade an identical ball for the one she brings back in order to get her to peacefully "Out" the toy. She would retrieve these balls all day long if we were willing to throw them that long.

Definitely worth the money replaces tennis balls period I have two Rottweiler’s one of which is obsessed with balls ,he will play fetch almost indefinitely as he retrieves the tennis balls he squeezes them in his mouth repeatedly I have seen many other dogs do the same thing and it is this repetitive motion that destroys tennis balls. If I turn my back for any length of time the tennis balls are stripped Of the two hourglass shaped pieces of felt and then I have to find all the rubber pieces and reconstruct the ball , so that I’m sure he hasn’t ingested any. He loves the squeaking balls however we had pretty much given up on them because the balls didn’t last and the squeaker would always pop out of the ball ,some of them we foundNow so far this new ball has outlasted dozens of tennis balls After performing dozens of inspections of this ball while he fetches and chews on itI I haven’t seen any signs of fatigue or tearingUPDATE It has been well over a year and it’s like newthe ball floats nicely And water drains from it easily ,the squeaker is firmly in bedded in the ball far better than any others I have seen The ball does bounce quite a bit higher than a tennis ball which is far more exciting for our Rottweiler however when we play in an enclosed area the ball can often bounce over the fence or into the bushes creating a little more work for me fortunately the bright colours make it easier to findThe only issue is that it can get very slimy making it tough to grip and practically impossible to pick up with a chuckitWe also have a female Rottweiler who has one snaggletooth that she uses to destroy pretty much anythingThese are animals who enjoy chewing on tough bone and antlers Amongst other things what chance does any ball have if you leave it with a dog who simply wants to destroy it As a replacement for tennis balls and other squeaky balls I think this one is fantastic imo most balls Are a way of interacting and playing with my dogs And when we are finished playing the ball gets put away

I wanted to wait a bit before doing a review to make sure it passed the "chewaholic" in our household. When it arrived, I was dubious that our baby boy would even like it, but it's been two months since our 60 pound Pit Bull got a hold of this little gem and we can't be happier with it! It's still completely intact without any gouges or signs of wear. We use it daily for inside fetch and he carries it around, chews on it and naps with it. Our baby boy is allergic to dyes and coloring, but this neutral colored toy hasn't caused any reaction (Glow). We go through about half a dozen other toys a month and for the price, this has been the best toy investment we've made.Update 1/1/2015Our Pit Bull still LOVES this ball.I am just in awe of he fact that it has lasted over 5 months, with daily use and abuse. Every single day, we play inside fetch with this ball. I feel is a good use for this ball, as it doesn't have as much bounce as regular balls. We play hide and seek with it, hiding it behind pillows, footstools, under blankets or even under our shirts. Most days he gets a morning and afternoon session of about 10-15 minutes of "playtime." I say "playtime" because I use this time as training time now. We use it to reinforce sit, stay, down, up, off, out, focus and wait. I don't use this ball to teach a new behavior, but, as a way to practice in a less formal environment. I'm not a dog trainer, and I find it tedious and boring to take a formal approach to training, so this seems to be working for us right now.The ball is barely showing signs of use. This ball has two small holes, one hole bigger than the other. You can put your pinky in one hole and your thumb in the other. The thumb sized whole has a few 2-3 millimeter long fractures, not cracks that are are open, just stress fractures. It is still working just as good as the day it arrived! I try to hand wash this ball once a week, due to all the dog slobber. I just use Dawn, warm water and let it air dry.

I got this for our chew-monster Bruce, a very large German Shepherd & (we think) Great Dane mix, after he repeatedly demonstrated his ability to utterly destroy the large Kong squeaky tennis balls within a matter of minutes. He LOVES some squeak, so he obsessively squeaks his toys until they're crushed. After some research on longer-lasting toys, I splurged on one of these, fully intending to guilt the dog forever if he destroyed this much more expensive toy. It's been 2 months, and this ball is not only still squeaking, but it isn't chewed or destroyed AT ALL, despite Bruce's best attempts! It's smaller than his other balls, and because it's a slicker texture, it slides out of his mouth more easily. However, it squeaks when it hits the ground, and he can entertain himself with it for long periods of time.Pros:- Super durable- Squeaker is molded in so it can't come out (unlike the other toys we've bought)- Bright orange is WAY easier to see in the grass than stained green/yellow tennis balls- Easy to cleanCons:- I wish it were slightly larger, because his mouth is so big. No issues with swallowing it or anything, but if they had an XL size (like other super-large sized balls) we'd go for it. Orbee, let us know if you decide to upsize!- It doesn't squeak quite as easily as other squeak balls, but Bruce figured out how to make it work. He sometimes will even hold it against the ground to squeak it faster.- It doesn't squeak as loudly as the faux tennis ball kinds, but wait...that's not a bad thing. It's still loud enough for him to enjoy, without the neighborhood rioting.Overall I can't recommend this toy enough. We feel safe letting him play with it since the squeaker can't come out, and it's paid for itself repeatedly - we were going through a 6-pack of squeaky tennis balls per week (or more!), and haven't had to buy any in the last 2 months because this ball is still in pristine condition.

This ball is my dogs very favorite toy. My dog ignores any other ball but this one, and I've bought a fair amount of them. She loves it like a kid loves their security blanket. I live in the woods and throw this ball with a ChuckIt & it whistles like crazy, even when totally covered in dirt. When this ball hits a tree it super bounces off in another unpredictable direction making my Savannah have to hunt it down by smell, she loves the challenge. When she's tired out she lays on the ground and lovingly holds it in her mouth or chews it with sloshy squishy, rather gross, noises. She has had it for almost a year now and it still looks almost like new. I have two cons for this ball. 1)Mine doesn't hold light as long as I would like. 2) When my dog is swimming and I throw the ball, I've found that she isn't able to see it very well as it floats, but like an iceberg....Most of the ball is under the water & just a tip of it shows, and a swimming dog is already at eye-level with the water. When she does grab at it in the water it has a tendency to slowly spiral about a foot deep when her chin even brushes it, which causes her anxiety as it appears to be sinking, then it lazily floats back to the surface. She has tried to dive for it and comes up gagging, it's such a tease for her, just not a good ball for the water. But because it is so much fun for her to chase, it is so soft on her mouth, is super bouncy and tolerates a great deal of chewing, this ball is well worth recommending. In the great fear that this ball may get lost and break her doggie heart, I purchased 2 more so now she has 3 of them!

As a professional pet sitter, it's hard to rate this ball.First: it Does fit the regular size chuck-it stick and flies very high and fast because it's lighter weight. This makes it easier on the arm. Also the whistle is different than the chuck-it whistle. It's muffled sounding to me, but the dogs seem able to locate it well by sound. I rated it four stars for these nice qualities.Second: I do not smell minty smell. The ball is much softer than a chuck it ball, and I would not call it tough or use it on chewers. one of my client dogs, a Standard Poodle, chews his balls while in the dog park, reluctant to drop them. I will not use this ball with him because it is very soft to the touch.Only use with gentle mouthed dogs like Border Collies and Retrievers.Third: It will not stay glowing even Close to as long as the Chuck it Glo-ball!! After the frustration of walking around the dog park and getting 2 throws per every time I held it to the flashlight (all the dogs waiting for it to recharge) , I took it home and put it under a lamp to hopefully ''fully charge it" and then see how long it stayed lighted. I was horrified to come back in an hour and find that this soft ball was almost gooey on top and had warped. It was not a super hot light. On top of it, it would barely glow when i turned the light off.Final analysis: if you have a dog that likes soft, lightweight, easy to throw whistle balls, then you would like this. But it's for DAYTIME play as it does not glow very bright or very long. I went right out and bought the new Chuck-it glo-frisbee

To give some context, my 50 lb dog loves toys and is the definition of power chewer. Tennis balls last 2 minutes (shredded to tiny pieces). He can tear apart a golf ball in under 5 minutes! Stuffed animals -forget it! Baseballs, soccer balls, footballs are all no match for him. I tried tons of "indestructible" fire hose and other toys - destroyed within hours max. Nylabones stand up okay, but he chews them until his mouth bleeds. He has zero interest in rubber (like tires or Kong toys).I have tried for years to find some kind of toy he would like that was soft enough to not hurt him and strong enough to last at least a few weeks.I FOUND IT!This Orbe-tuff Sol ball is super flexible/soft.It bounces (kind of awkwardly which he likes), but is soft enough that it doesn't make hardly any noise or damage furniture, etc. in the house. It's about 3/4" thick and hollow inside. When I took it out of the package I thought there was NO way it would last. But I was wrong.First, my dog LOVES it! It's his #1 favorite toy now. Because of it's size, it's kind of hard for him to pick up, which is a plus because he loves chasing it around. Once he does get it, it's soft enough that it squishes in his mouth and doesn't hurt him at all.And best of all, he has tried *so* hard to tear it or rip pieces off (he pulls hard at the larger hole on one side) and has not even been able to make a scratch on it! After a month it still looks brand new and he still loves it.SO happy I found this ball that is safe, fun and tough! It's perfect!

I’ve now purchased 3 and I don’t see myself ever stopping! My 55lb Staffie (pitbull) has absolutely obliterated every ball and toy (rope, rubber, stuffed) before this one in a matter of minutes. You take your eyes off it, and the next time you’d look back it would be in pieces. Kong Xtremes and other “indestructible” toys only lasted a week, tops. He also goes nuts for anything that squeaks, so keeping him happily entertained for a while was a challenge because the second he’d chomp down on a squeaker, it’d break. He’s now had this blue squeak ball for a MONTH and it STILL SQUEAKS!! He regularly falls asleep with it still in his mouth, or tucked under his chin. That’s how obsessed he is with this thing.I would 100% recommend this to anyone who needs a seriously durable toy for their super powerful chewer as that’s been my experience! This material is super bouncy and he can bite down (unlike some rubbers, Kong/West Paw) without puncturing it somehow. It’s perfect for fetch, and floats too. He’s never had a toy last this long, so this is a welcome break for my wallet despite being a more expensive toy. I was buying a few toys every week until we tried this one!Cons: The first two balls didn’t squeak after a few days, so maybe they’ve improved something since then. The warranty replacement process is more tedious than others like West Paw, and only replaces them ONCE. It’s also requires more force to squeak this given the nature of the material, but since it extends the life of the squeaker I’m totally fine with it.

***UPDATE*** 12/18/14We have had this ball for over a month, and aside from all of the continents being torn off, it has held up! Our FozzyBear loves to chew on something soft, but he has destroyed and eaten every toy he's ever had. I've gotten the evidence picking up his beloved toys one last time in the backyard. This one is a great toy! You do HAVE to watch your dog with it while the continents are intact, but it's not a dangerous toy once they're gone. Our dog has destroyed literally EVERYTHING, and yet, the Orbee Tuff planet ball remains.------------So far, this ball has been the only thing that our monster chewer (Aussie/Great Dane mix) hasn't been able to destroy in 5 minutes or less (aside from Nylabones).Granted, he has only had his mouth on it for about an hour, but for him, that's like decades! It's nice to have a toy that's kinda soft for him to chew on, since all we've been able to give him are Nylabones, but from the pile of throw pillows from the couch that are now destroyed, I can tell that he wants something soft, which this satisfies - but without being a total waste of money. Like all the other reviews, I have to say that the "continents" come off pretty easy, but the ball itself remains intact. It smells really good too. :)I know The Fozz will be able to tear this thing apart eventually, but for the effort and time he's put into trying, it's held up well. We will buy this again, and we will certainly recommend.

My 11 month old, 60 pound golden retriever has been playing with this toy for 8 months now and it is still going strong. It is one of the few treat dispensing toys that she enjoys with or without treats. It is a fun ball on its own but even more fun when stuffed with treats. I bought the large ball and baby carrots and Charlee Bear crunchy treats fit perfectly in the larger hole which is almost exactly the size of a nickel. Any treat that can fit through a nickel sized hole would work great in this. There is a smaller hole (a little bigger than the diameter of a standard pencil) on the other side. My dog has become a toy destroyer recently and this is one of the few that are still intact. She has not chewed the continents off as mentioned in other reviews and the ball still looks perfectly new. My dog has at least 20 treat dispensing toys and I find myself going to this one again and again because of the ease of filling and cleaning and the fun factor for my puppy. She really enjoys rolling this around and gobbling up the treats as they come out. We also use it to play fetch in the yard and yes, even sometimes in the house. The ball is a bit heavy so could do some damage when thrown in the house. The large size of this toy is definitely for a larger, stronger dog. Let me also mention how much I love all of the Planet Dog toys I have purchased (at least 10). I am thrilled to find safe toys made in the USA for my precious pup!

My lab loves , loves all balls but especially this one! It’s softer than most and the “ chew “ must be a perfect “cushiness”. Yes, it whistles when you throw it far but that isn’t what my 115 lb Labrador loves it’s the “ rebound” feeling in his mouth !I bought three when the price went down to 10$ bc I’ve paid 15 $ before ! I am never without an extra in the cabinet !He also likes it’s a solid rubber (?) ball not hollow , like his normal chuck it balls ( he also loves and mainly uses) my lab is a ball obsessed dog who has never cared about any other type of toy ( only balls or bonesIn my opinion this is the best ball out there !But as someone as mentioned the packaging it terrible !!Those little plastic tags are INSIDE the ball! It’s so in a retail store they can hang on a rack but they’re impossible to get out of the ball ! I cut them as close as possible to the rubber and then try to use a razor or file to get the tops out ! Those sticking out things hurt my hand - I can’t imagine what they feel like inside a dogs mouth!Maybe for amazon buyers you don’t need the hanging up cardboard just a simple plastic bag whatever but this is a stupid stupid way to attach tags for a diva mouth !These whistle balls are by far my Labradors favorite ones! He has about 6 they last forever abs do feel good even to me they’re cushy but not danger cushy !I’d never pay 25$ fir this tho !! It was 12-15 $ (even that was high )

These are seriously the best dog balls in the entire world. These are the only balls I've been able to find that my dog doesn't destroy in short order. He will eat a tennis ball in about 30 min, and he'll chew through the "non-destructable" foam balls, and hard rubber balls, in about 2 weeks. But the Orbee Tuff balls, take him about 5 months to start destroying. My dog is a large mixed breed, a Great Dane mix, and he loves his Orbee balls. He takes it to bed with him, and carries it around the house where ever he goes. As an added bonus, he is constantly biting down on it (the plastic is flexible), without puncturing it, and this cleans his teeth. It' has a hole in the ball, big enough for a finger, which makes it easy for me to pick up, and throw for him. It's soft enough to be used in the house.Several months ago I gave this ball as a gift to a friend with a big German Shepherd. She was skeptical that this ball would last, because like my dog, her dog chews through every dog toy that isn't made of very hard plastic. As I said earlier, the plastic on this ball is soft, and flexible, so I could understand her skepticism. But I said, just try it.I talked to her the other day, and she brought up the ball, said she couldn't believe it, but the ball was still intact. She said her dog loves the ball and plays with it, and chews on it, all the time. This is an excellent product, and I highly recommend.

About my dog: he is an 18 pound Yorkshire Terrier, almost 6 years old at time of writing this, and he has never stopped being hyperactive and absolutely loves playing fetch with balls. If it isn't a ball, he typically just isn't interested.Anyway, about this ball. It is a whistle ball, but that isn't really why I bought it. It does whistle, but whether or not my dog actually hears it is another story. With that said, he absolutely loves this ball and it is his favorite compared to two others he has loved. But the reason I bought another one of these is because I didn't take the ball away from him after playing fetch one day and he ended up chewing the whistle parts (just thin blue flaps),he still loves the other ball, but I thought he deserved to enjoy some of my tax money as well so we splurged and he got a new whistle ball. This ball does get slobbery real quick, but I don't mind. My dog loves it, and slobbers are a small price to pay for his unending love and company. I would also recommend the yellow smile ball made by Planet Dog, but that one is a much harder ball than this. Both balls can withstand serious chewing, but the whistle ball should not be left for chewing because the blue parts will be destroyed.

Our Lab/Rottweiler and Pit Bull/Mastiff boys have been playing fetch and intense tug-of-ball with the large Orbee Ball for about an hour every day, for over 7 months. They tear through tennis balls in mere minutes, and we've tried other rubber toys. This is the only ball we found that has held up to their powerful jaws. The continent-shaped attachments did get pulled off within a month or so, but we'd prefer they made a version without them anyway. The ball itself has held up surprisingly well. It's only just now starting to show a thin crack after 7 months. Given the constant tugging they do with it (even dragging each other across the yard just by the joint grip of the ball in their mouths),I'm amazed it has lasted this long.At first I thought the fact that it's hollow would make it easier for them to destroy. But the rubber is thick enough that the gentle give has actually made it harder for them to sink their teeth into. I wouldn't leave them alone to just freely chew it, since no rubber toy -- not even Kong's toughest "Extreme" (black) toys -- can hold up to that with our 90-pound beasts. But for supervised fetch and play, this is the best toy we've ever found.
