A kitchen supply store gave me this scaler and asked me to test its effectiveness. Being a culinary instructor they thought I would be a good judge of its worth. My first thoughts were "It's too expensive, I can scale a fish with a fork!" but when I tried it I was amazed. Sure you can scale a fish with a fork or the back of a knife etc. but you get covered in scales from head to toe and weeks later you are still finding scales all around the kitchen. The Triangle scaler caught every scale and they were easily rinsed off into the sink. The inner scaling tines remove easily for cleaning so both the utensil and the kitchen are no problem.Not only is cleanup a breeze but the scaler removes almost every scale with just one or two passes.It's amazing.

Never used a fish scaler before but decided to try this after struggling to descale a sea bass with a fork.This tool is absolutely brilliant. So easy to get the hang off and the results were spot on. I used it while holding fish under a running tap and the scales literally fell off.

I was worried when it arrived that it was too cumbersome to deal with thin ready sliced salmon with scaly skin however, it did the job effortlessly! - expensive but worth it

My friend works in fishmonger in Japan recommended it. It is easy to wash up and handle it even though large size of salmon,This is the best scaler I have ever used!

I was fed up with fish scales flying everywhere and this product collects all fish scales. Very pleased with this item and definitely would recommend it.
