I've had a pair of north face soft shell for years and they finally walked off on their own. These were bought as replacements the material isn't as soft as befire so a slight rustle when you walk. The mesh pockets make them airy and cool but can snag if you put anything that is not a regular shape coin wallet phone etc.That saying they are comfortable and great quality. I dont live in them like the old ones. I have been on a couple of good hikes and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance.

I had already bought a pair of these shorts for my husband and was envious of the deep pockets, the quality and fit. I decided to buy a pair for myself and I love them. They are light weight and very flattering and I would market them as unisex. It’s great to have a pair of shorts that can fit a mobile phone and a small purse in the pockets therefore negating the need to carry a bag.

The North Face Exploration shorts are the best available in my opinion. First pair of these I bought sent my other shorts to the back of the wardrobe. Great fitting garment - my original pair were bought in shop, so I could try them on. One point to North Face - you've got a winner here, so don't try to 'improve' them in the future!

I have tried shorts by Helly Hansen, Salewa and Craghoppers but these are by far the best. This is my second pair. I had a slightly different model last time but they had the same zipped pockets which provide reassurance that nothing will fall out as I cycle or trek. They are tough and dry quickly too.

These shorts are very good because:They are well made and well designed;The material has four way stretch, is breathable and dries quickly;The zip pockets hold your valuable secure;The integral belt is comfortable and a good idea;The internal waistband is very comfortable.

Although the three-dimensional sewing of the knees and the built-in belt are omitted, the 5 pocket equipment with all zippers is a remarkable merit of this product, and I feel special thanks in the summer when the storage capacity of the tops declines.

I tried a few different pairs of stretchy shorts on in the shops, but these were bay far the most comfortable & hung the best. don't think the photo did them justice I would not of bought them based on that if I hadn't already tried a pair on.

Perfect shorts. Used for mountain activities. Super comfortable fabric while walking, resistant on rocks and light on the skin. Used for long distances, they never cause boredom. Comfortable side pockets. Regular fit. Really satisfied.

This exploration is great, good fit and beautiful material. I have been wearing them for years and now also have the zip-off version. Delivery takes some time, but it doesn't matter for pants!

Tidy comfortable activity shorts, a bit on the expensive side but the quality is good. I bought size 34 and need to use a belt.
