We bought these for a trip to the Isle of Skye and boy were we glad we did. They slip over your regular trousers and act as a shield against the fierce rain.We were in the torrential rain (horizontal rain it seemed) for over 3 hours. The only parts of my trousers that was wet was where the pockets were (as other reviewers will attest to) because they are pretty much open holes in the trousers. I assume this is to allow you to deal with your pockets , though the design could be improved to make sure it doesn't sit open like a hole when in use.The material can withstand water for quite a long time. Think of umbrella / raincoat material. It is super lightweight and can be folded into a tiny size for travelling. It didn't feel like they were too long or short and if you're wearing boots, it will slide the water right off and down to the floor without dripping into your shoes!

decent pair of cheap waterproof over trousers. have worn these a number of times over my jeans when walking the dog in the rain and have kept my jeans dry. one slight design fault I would say are the pockets slits which enables you to slip your hands into your trouser pockets - the slits are quite open and there is not much overlap in the fabric to keep your pocket areas fully dry. Although the pockets are not wet, I do sometimes find slight dampness where rain has managed to get into the pocket slit. the trousers have a small clip type button at the bottom of each leg to keep the trousers relatively tight to your calf which is useful. quite baggy around thigh area and I have found the waist quite tight but overall for the price, excellent value and good quality.

My last pair of Regatta trousers split after numerous dog walks. They were cheap and they served their purpose well. I wanted another cheap pair to replace them, and these were only a few pounds more. Im no expert, but these seem better made. The material is thin, but I don't expect much at the price they are asking. If you want better (thicker)quality you need to pay a lot more. They also seem to have more room for pulling them over your boots. Im a lazy sod at heart, and at times cant be bothered to remove my boots before pulling the trousers on. They come in a handy small bag, if you need that kind of thing. I've worn them quite a number of times, and they are still in good nick.Definitely worth a buy.

Great over trousers saved me getting my jeans soaked again in Iceland in February. Fitted well I'm a 38 waist and I bought X large. Great waterproof to save your trousers getting soaked and quick to dry. They come with a great little pouch which fitted into my suitcase and hardly took any room. These are nice and quiet not like some waterproof trousers which make that annoying noise every time you move. Read a few reviews about the little openings on each side for you to get things out of your pockets don't think these are much of a issue, when we were in Iceland with strong winds snow and rain they didn't let any water in,as long as you have a coat etc that covers them you won't have a problem.

If they were sold as ‘water resistent’ I would have given them 5 stars, as I would have known what I was getting and for the price that would have been good, resistent to water but not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination, I wore them this morning on a 15 minute motorbike ride, top speed probably about 40miles an hour in medium to heavy rain, when I get to my destination and took them off my groin area was sodden wet, so my pants which is literally the worst area to get wet imo, they will essentially keep rain off as long as no rain rests on them so if you are going to get them for motorbike use I would suggest not to,unless your skint and need something which is better than nothing.

They're easy to put on, pack away well, dry quite quickly even when bunched up, and they fit as expected. I usually wear an XS in men's stuff, bought a S as this was to go over biking shorts and fit well. They don't have a split at the hem but they do have poppers to pull the cuff in a bit, if that makes sense. So you have to be a bit careful putting them on but with the poppers done they stay out of the way of the chain on my bike. I don't find them difficult to cycle in. They can be a bit hot but that tends to be the balance with wearing waterproofs cycling. I only cycle a short trip, maybe 25 minutes, but they keep me dry when I need them to. Openings for pockets are easy to get into.

Tested this weekend camping in Snowdonia. Had a day of heavy rain and these trousers worked extremely well. Fit as expected (over jeans). Before buying I noted other reviewer's comments regarding lack of buttons on the side-vents/pocket access potentially causing water ingress, but I was pleasantly surprised that after a few hours out in the rain, I was still dry. Cannot beat the price, and they do come with a stuff-sack. Might be a bit of a challenge to get on over your boots, but certainly doable. Vent fasteners would make this a 5 star product.TLDR: Fits as expected and keeps you dry. These are bare bones nylon rain trousers that work at a price you cannot beat.

The Regatta Men's waterproof over trousers are an lightweight item - perfect for the rainy, windy weather. Comes with it's own very handy carry pouch! These are a lightweight item - I am a size 34" waist but bought size XL (38"-40") because I wanted to have spare room to get the trousers off and on. I'm also 6'2" and these are more than long enough - they sit on my shoes and are probably suitable for someone with an inside leg measurement of 35".Great, lightweight trousers - they even help keep my legs a little warmer being plastic - and an excellent way of enabling me to be able to exercise in all weather (along with other waterproof clothing).

These are awesome. They keep my trousers and legs dry, the opening for the pockets DO NOT let any rain in as opposed to many comments (did they ever get rain in or are they just scared?) and are just so useful, they actually match perfectly with my trouser's pockets. Also, they pack away super small and lightweight, at least twice as small and light as my Mountain Warehouse Pakka jacket - hence these are ideal to carry always with you for cycling. I'm very pleased and would probably buy again. I'd only like for these to be longer because my ankles ar too exposed when cycling, but I'm a 32-34 (skinny with long legs) so I can take that.

Ordered these for when I'm cycling to work. So far they have done a good job of keeping my legs dry, and I've cycled in some fairly good downpours. I note the issue of the holes for pockets that others have raised, I guess my coat is long enough to cover them, but can see they could be a potential problem. My only other gripe is the poppers at the bottom to tighten the trousers around the ankle are not great and the ends of my actual trousers sometimes spill out and get wet. For the price they do a good enough job and are fine for casual use, but I wouldn't expect miracles in heavy rain for extended periods of time.

These are great! I got them to go over my trousers when I walk or cycle to class in the rain. They keep me dry, and I like that they come with their own little pouch so they don't get the rest of the stuff in my bag wet when I'm not wearing them. The pockets are open so that you can still access your trouser pockets, which is helpful, but could possibly let water in - I haven't had any problem with this as I'm always wearing a raincoat, too, but it's something to consider - it would be an easy DIY fix to add some velcro or something. Ultimately, these do the job at a reasonable price! What more can you ask for?

I would give this trousers a full 5* as they're very waterproof, comfortable, fit well and are great for cycling to work in the rain. The only down side is the pocket holes are backwards so when your sat (cycling) your trousers pockets underneath become exposed to the elements. Was a simple solve by wearing the over-trousers backwards the pocket holes face away from the elements. Long term I plan to buy some water resistant tapable velco to close the pockets up as I've also ordered the matching jacket which also has open pockets, exposed to the elements. Besides that they're brill.

Not bad. Some people have complained about the holes for pockets. This was a common concept in overtrousers when walkers wore longer waterproof jackets, but a regular hill walker would not want these as you cannot put them on over boots, and many walkers wear shorter jackets these days. The good thing is they are cheap and light. I bought them for a festival and they will do for that as long as I'm standing up straight when it pours down, as my jacket only just covers these holes. I might even glue them closed. The weight is incorrect in the ad, these are more like 180g for XL.

Overall a nice lightweight, waterproof, and windproof piece of kit.Like so many other reviewers I cant quite understand the need to have "open" pockets that can potentially let in the rain...especially if your riding a bike, as they will gape open due to the riding position.Personally I got them for beach fishing. They are ideal in case it starts to rain. But what I have done with regards to the pocket openings is: Just stick a length of Gaffa tape over each opening....Simple'sQuick edit...I'm 5'-11" 34" waist I purchased a size L and they fit perfectly over a pair of jeans.

I bought this for my boyfriend he is 36 waist and large sitting him perfect very neat fit not baggy as some leg length more than adequate regarding the holes that some people say on here the holes are there to get access to the under trouser pockets and it does not seem to be a problem everyone we have purchased in the past has been the same but this who's the best out of we have come across yet very waterproof this is the second one we have bought both have been totally waterproof, but you will find that do slightly sweat inside like any other one
