My partner was so excited to receive these convertable pants as he had just arranged a hiking trip with some friends and said these would be perfect. The trousers were a little looser around the middle than expected but with a belt they were fine and actually a smaller size would have been too tight and no one wants tight trousers on a hike! So they turned out perfectly. The zip off leg feature is great if you get too warm or if you want to get in the water, and then later on you can zip your legs back on before you stop at the pub for a well earned pint 5/5

I've been searching for ages for a replacement for my original North Face Paramount Peak Mk 1s and 2s (the current mk3s were just plain awful!). If you're fairly slim in the hips and don't have an enormous backside, these are the ones to go for. Well supplied with cargo pockets for left or right handed wearers. Clearly labelled detachable legs. Comfortable and not too long in "shorts-mode". Fabric has slight stretch that makes them comfortable to wear throughout a long flight and still arrive at your destination looking presentable.

Light, breathable and high functionality as it is described. UV protection and quick drying work very well. Comfortable for active use. Been using earlier version of the pants for mail delivery work instead of the company provided uniform that is thick and bulky. During 3 years of summer use, very satisfied and happy that I could find a better uniform alternative with same colour. Quite durable and still usable, decided to get one more pants to shorten wash cycle

Although I have several Columbia brand pants in the same number, this one is a bit narrower in the waist and thighs than I would like. There is no question about the waist because it has a tire, so the problem is not that big. On the thighs though, I would prefer it to be a little more comfortable. I would also like to confirm that it looks like the Columbia pants listed as "Regular" on the site are L32 lengths, so I suspect the Long ones will be L34 lengths

Overall happy with these. Good pair of walking trousers. Plenty of pockets with a zip on one side for money/valuables and light weight. Conversion to shorts is easy and the legs are clearly labelled for reattaching. The only warning I’d give is to go for a size up from your usual size. I’m a 34 in trousers from other brands and these are definitely a bit snug.

Product received on time, with a last minute change of delivery point, but as closer to home, it was perfect. Super pants, good size and ideal for hiking. Color tending a little on green / brown more than towards beige. I thought it would be clearer, but otherwise it’s perfect. I also ordered it in gray and black ..

Very good finish, all stitching clean good pockets, zips, etc. Absolutely no faults. which I find rare. Hopefully these will last the 20 odd years my previous trousers have lasted. I have always found they have a very good balance of breathing and retaining warmth. Dry very quickly when wet.

very light, comfortable and waterproof fabric. enough room to store things and with the quality of Columbia. Maybe the sizes are very justitas. I was asking for a 32 (42) and now I will buy the same model in 34. I recommend it and another quality to keep in mind that it is removable.

the pants are of good quality, the size is correct but be careful because the thighs are very, very tight and almost incompatible with sports. we have the impression of a tight cut of city pants ... return requested, I hesitate between taking a size larger or changing model

I am very pleased with these trousers. Comfortable. I might add a slight caution: the sizing is a tad tight, especially around the thighs. The compensating factor is the stretch of the fabric. Love the multiple pockets. Highly recommend these summer weight trousers.

We bought these pants for my son who is leaving on a world trip. Easy purchase, neatly informed of order status. Delivery within the promised period and arrived well packed. Super cool pants that he will enjoy a lot during his adventure. Keep it up!

Excellent pair of trousers, just what I was looking for - for my Altai-mountains backpacking tour. Light, strong, easy to wash, quick drying. Practical pockets. Will serve me well on local, Icelandic backpacking tours as well.

These trousers are good quality and look fabulous. Downside is that they are a little tight due to my small waist so I recommend you get the next size up if you train legs like myself. They are not fire retardant!

A few new changes from our old favourite Silver Ridge pants - straighter leg, wider belt, and no zip-up pocket - but all good. And noticed that this pair was made in Bangladesh rather than Vietnam.
