Bought these for wet walks with my son. Decent quality and works very well. Highly elasticated waist means they never come down, poppers at ankles allows for tighter fitting at ankles (will fit around his wellies). Splashing in puddles, out in torrential rain, playing about in the snow - so far no uncomfortable wet socks or trousers underneath so has proved to be a very good waterproof barrier. I will definitely be buying bigger sizes as he grows.UPDATE 2015: 5 years later and these are still going strong for my third child! Elastic and poppers are still perfect, fabric is looking a bit worn but still waterproof which is what you want. I have never washed these, just wiped down on occasion,

We bought these trousers for our toddler; he's just turned 2, and we went for the "2 years" size, because we're logical like that. The trousers are big enough that the cuffs need a fair amount of rolling up in order to fit - and he's a tall lad, apparently. We're not at all worried about this - but hopefully this will provide a bit of advice / reassurance for other people, as there wasn't a great deal of information around as to how well the different sizes would fit.The trousers seem extremely well built - enough waterproofing and thick material that I think we could stand them up on their own. That said, they don't seem to impede movement, and our guy doesn't seem to mind wearing them.

The sizing is confusing to say the least. I ordered a 26" for my 6 year old son but they were far too big as the 26" is for 14 year olds (164 cm tall) - something I have since found out. However, they fit me perfectly so I'm keeping them for myself and I have now ordered the right size for my son. The overtrousers are well made and the press stud at the bottom is an excellent idea. I suppose that as long as the washing instructions are followed (printed inside on the label) this item will last for many years to come.

Product arrived on time and was as described.My son is 13yrs old (not terribly tall for his age) and used these for his trek up the 3 peaks recently - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. These trousers were a very valuable asset with the amount of rain they experienced - typical Summer - it poured and poured. Did get abit sweaty in them as they do not breath, but son reported this was not much of a problem and still preferable to getting soaked in the rain.

These trousers will come in very handy for sledging and very wet days. The size was perfect - I chose 3-4 yrs for my 5 yr old son and 7-8 yrs for my daughter who is tall for her age and will be 9 in a few weeks time. This was based on a different review and I'm glad I paid attention as they fitted perfectly with plenty of room to spare. We haven't had a chance to test them out yet but they seem like thick, good quality material.

These have been very useful to have on me in case my toddler wants to play on wet slides or in damp sand pits - don't have to go home with wet trousers. They are roomy (except the waist elastic is on the tight side), fit easily over clothes and don't seem to make her too hot so far (cool Spring weather). They are fairly long but the legs can easily be rolled up. Haven't washed them in the machine yet, just rinsed under the tap.

I brought these for any 3 year old son who still uses the buggy from time to time. He doesn't like the rain cover so these along with his waterproof coat keep him dry. These are also great for when i take my other boys to their football matches, as my 3 year old can then run around on the muddy fields and keep his clothes covered and clean! Would recommend.

these are great - spot on for forest school and kept my daughter bone dry throughout this awful wet weather. they come up just right on size, my daughter is 8 but in 9-10 clothes as she is tall and these are fine - a good elasticated waist that is small to start which means they fit all shapes and sizes.

Purchased for my young son to survive the rain and deal with the resulting puddles in! Roomy over standard jeans/trousers with big opening at the bottom of the legs to encompass boots, these trousers are fantastic. They dry and store easily and do exactly what they promise - recommended!

Got these trousers so my son can have more fun in the snow and wet days. Matched them with a jacket purchased separately and great to wear over his clothes and school trousers for those wet and snowy journeys and easily roll up and don't take up much room in a bag to store.

This is the third pair of trousers i have bought of these , they are fantasic for those long muddy walks in parks,forest , even our backgarden. Stops the kids getting wet and muddy clothes a lso an extra layer to keep them warm form the wind . Very versatile great buy .

My son's all-in-one was getting a bit small so I opted for these instead and they do the job very well. He is 2 1/2 and has quite short legs (he is still wearing size 18-24 month trousers) so they need rolling up a bit but they keep him dry.

Perfect for wearing over jeans on windy wet walks and also came in very useful on a couple of boat/dinghy trips during our holidays. Lightweight,and they scrunch up small to carry, and the girls found them comfortable to wear.

Bought for my 8 year old and these were very long! But they clip at the bottom so all clothes stayed dry and will definitely last him a while! Perfect for his camps with Beavers/cubs. He was very excited to receive them.

Good quality waterproofs at very reasonable price...very happy with purchase...is would say they are fairly true to size I bought 5-6 years for my 3 and 1/2 year old son who is quite tall but they were far too big .
