Craghoppers Kiwi Mens Winter Lined TrousersMy husband has two pairs of these trousers now and a pair of the unlined for warmer weather. He has found them to be well made - the belt is cheap but that's unimportant as it does the job - warm, comfortable and very durable. He uses them for dog and hill-walking. We live in the south west of Ireland where it is wet and windy all year round and these trousers have kept him relatively dry and very toasty. The dog could do with a four legged pair! They aren't water-proof but the inner lining keeps a lot of water out and the outer doesn't 'suck' water up and dries very quickly if it does become wet.Be aware though the trousers do come up big and long.My husband would normally be a 34R but he buys 34S and they are VERY roomy and the right length for him.My teenage son has bought a pair of the unlined for hill-walking and loves them as they are comfortable and don't hold moisture and they don't look middle-aged when teamed with fleeces and boots.Bark is the nicest colour IMO, goes with everything and doesn't show mud splashes; possibly that isn't a major issue for you males. My husband wore the unlined ones a lot when he took our sons to the London Olympics because they are cool in hot weather and the pockets hold loads without making you look as if your thighs are misshapen.Really cannot rate these highly enough - if they were labelled North Face they would be three times the price and would still sell well.

Purchased this item for my partner, as he was feeling the cold in anything except his jeans.Arrived before delivery date, well packaged, not a lot of creasing, and comes complete with a belt, for that price its fantastic, he wears them for work in the office, they have a lovely soft brushed lining, which he says doesn't irritate, but keeps him nice and warm, have since purchased two further pairs in different colours, they should see him through to the warmer weather, but will probably order a couple more pairs before they sell out, as really nice trousers.Machine washable, but can't be tumble dried, but only took about 20 mins in the airing cupboard, and just a light iron needed afterwards, really smart trousers, and for once easy care.Would reccommend to anyone, not just walkers or outdoor types, ideal for winter, and as part of your winter car kit, warm without bulk, no restriction of movement either.Fantastic!!!! had the black, slate and green, slate is more of a brownish colour, which I thought looked grey on the net, but still nice material and quality.

Great value - very happy. Used during a week of Scottish winter hills this year and glad I bought them. I note that some people have reviewed before actual use - I'm not sure what the point of that is - this kind of product isn't reviewed for being pretty, but for being functional on the hill.I am a fairly warm body when walking and have always made do with light summer trousers before, using long johns under on really cold days, and Berghaus waterproof trousers when wet. This year we had a VERY mild week and minimal precipitation - the Craghoppers did alone for every day.I read from another customer that the lining could get clingy if your legs got sweaty - I can see this being an issue if I wore them on too warm a day,but not really a problem this February in Torridon.I chucked the too-narrow included belt when the product arrived and went with an old leather belt that I would use with my other walking trousers.Very good product - recommended.

I have had a few pairs of Craghopper trousers over the years and they hardly ever seem to wear out barring the odd pocket zip eventually failing. One pair that became faded and a bit threadbare at the knees after six years outdoors weekend use have been relegated to gardening duties but are still pretty much intact. I like them so much I bought a blue pair for work as the trousers I'm issued with are uncomfortable and poorly made. With winter coming on I thought I would buy a lined pair, also for work, as they got great reviews. Getting up to go to work on frosty winter mornings has never been so easy! I know that cosy is a funny word to describe trousers but that's how I feel when I'm wearing them. The soft lining is luxurious and very warm so you should only wear them on genuinely cold days or you will cook! I can't recommend these highly enough for winter out-doors working, hiking, or general use. I'd give them six stars if I could.

As someone who hasn't seen the need for lined trousers in the past, these were a bit of an experiment and some insurance for a planned trip to Scotland in February. I always knew that I was losing a bit of heat through my normal walking trousers, but it never seemed to be that much of an issue. In addition, lined trousers might just be too warm and more uncomfortable than being a bit cold. What a revelation! These trousers really do make a difference when the outside temperature drops to zero and below. Just like wearing a hat to keep the heat from escaping your head, these really do keep my legs comfortable. An effect of this extra insulation is that I can usually drop a layer on my upper body as it's not working as hard to offset the heat lost through my legs.I've yet to try them on my Scottish trip, but the recent cold weather has given me plenty of opportunities to try these out and I'm sure that they will be up to the job.

I am reviewing these trousers as I wear them. Background:I needed some semi smart work trousers which allowed me to bend and stretch, an alternative to Scruffs or DeWalt type carpenters/builders trousers.Pro's:1) Keep you very warm (I'm working in Scotland - weather is very testing!)2) VERY well made for the money (Better than Karrimor)3) Colour is nice - not too bright and not boring black4) Size is perfect for my height and build (6'2", slim 34/33)5) No too "Outdoorsy" for other uses, I'd wear them casually certainly.Cons:1) The "Hand" pockets are not very deep and I worry about keys and wallet in them. However, the side pocket is nice and deep.I am very surprised with these,I was expecting something very budget. I also own the version with the zip off legs in the same colour (see my other reviews) and the winter lined ones are MUCH better.Well done Craghoppers - quality product!

Bought 2 of these to replace an aging pair of Rohans. As I had to order twice to get different colours it was not until they arrived that I realised that one pair was a 40 Short whilst the other was long. I am 6'2 and the short versions fit perfectly (and no I am not misshapen!) whereas the long one have inches on the floor. Couldn't be bothered to return the long pair so took them up myself! These trousers are great in the cold and are amazing in heavy drizzle/ wind - the outer gets wet without letting the wet through the inner and then dries out again! which is why I bought them, my Rohans did the same. Obviously they wont withstand heavy rain. As for keeping you warm they are the biz!although you will find yourself getting very warm if you are doing strenuous exercise, or if you try to wear them in doors for more than a few minutes.

Arrived exactly on day stated and well packaged, I bought these for my dad as he suffers with cold legs in the winter, I thought with these being fleece lined they would be exactly what he needs. Fit was perfect and very comfortable to wear look much better than the usual tracksuit bottoms we are used to seeing him in, the fact that these have several pockets and four of them that zip is good for carrying a wallet, keys and mobile, the deep cargo pocket is perfect for your mobile. I bought two pairs of these in different colours, the belt on them and the elastic waistband is ideal for comfort. All in all an excellent good value pair of trousers, that keep you warm and are windproof, they have washed well and don't need ironed. What more could you want. Excellent.

I now have several pairs of these trousers, winter lined, standard and shorts, which I wear on a day to day basis all year round. They are constantly in and out of the washing machine and none show any sign of wearing out. Quick drying, they don't need ironing and they also dry very quickly if you happen to be caught in a shower. With a total of 7 pockets four of which zip up you have plenty of room to carry items with the two side and back zip pockets being ideal for money/wallet or keys and the cargo leg pocket has a mobile phone insert. With the nylon clip belt and elasticated waist you just enough give to make them comfortable to wear.Size on the Kiwi style is generous but be careful becauseother styles in the Craghoppers range can vary quite a bit.

I have bought the unlined versions for years, and it was only by chance I found out that they did a lined version. I was apprehensive, as there's a lot of comments of being too small etc. I always buy 38 Reg, in unlined, so bought the same. They are exactly the same fit, no problem what so ever. Comfortable and even warmer ( as expected being lined) than the unlined. Have worn then today, whilst out shopping and they do not make feel too hot, just added comfort when it get a bit cooler. The unlined ones are always slightly wind proof, but these take it to the next level.I would highly recommend these, as such already ordered anther pair. Great product, and from all appearance well made.Looks like the same high quality product, I have come to expect.

These Craghopper trousers are made with a breathable material which is also resistant to water. They are also lined with a light weight material providing that extra protection against the cold. There are 9 pockets, some zipped, some open and one velcrowed pocket on the trouser leg which has a mobile phone compartment inside. There is also a nylon belt with plastic clip fastener. They can be worn outside for walking/hiking or they can be worn as normal every day trousers. My size is 32 small. Normally I have trouble getting the correct size but Craghopper trousers for me are a perfect fit. Very comfortable and very practical. I'm very pleased with mine and will no doubt be purchasing them again.Thoroughly recommended.

My partner is quite seriously ill and has to keep warm even when he can't move around. These, and several other pairs, do the job perfectly. They've become like his security blanket and only come off when the odd rare heat wave arrives.Fortunately, they don't show as being thermal lined so he doesn't look odd wearing them when other people are in shorts. They look like normal lightweight trousers, a bit baggy, but ok.We have tried other brands including Rohan, but these, despite being fairly cheap, are much the best. The Rohan ones look much smarter but their waists are too tight and high, and since he has breathing difficulties,a loose fitting lower waist is important to him. They wash and dry extremely well.

I bought 3 pairs of these over Christmas all from or via Amazon on Wednesday last I fell off my bike in Reading and found that the knee ares is double skinned . One layer was worn away against the flag stones but the other survived. My knee only suffered a minor friction burn.Other then that they seem to keep the wind out despite their lightweight fabric. I am a landscape manager so they get pretty dirty at work but seem to clean up very well on a 40° c non bio wash.A great investment but will have to buy another pair to replace the wrecked ones.I also have a pair of Kiwis that are the Winter lined " fleece" version and can highly recommend them for days when the wind is from the east or itis below freezing .

Wore these in Indianapolis, America recently, snow was thick on the ground and it was cold, during training on ranges I was lying in the snow, these trousers kept me warm and dry when others present were clearly cold and suffering in the conditions, I took a heavy toss in the ice and fell cutting my knee which required first aid, the trouser fabric was undamaged . These really are a good piece of kit, tough, warm and comfortable, also dry quite quickly, I am very impressed with the quality, belt is not up to task but that is really of no consequence and does not detract from the overall quality of these trousers. Bought a second pair.
