After drinking my partner's Glenlivet, because I'd run out of my beloved vodka, I felt so guilty that I purchased another bottle for him and have told him to hide it. He's very happy and my guilty conscience is now clear. Fortunately, he doesn't like vodka.Glenlivet is a wonderful whisky and even though I'm not a true whisky drinker, it's very nice, was packaged very well and arrived before the expected delivery date. :-) I recommend this seller and this whisky to customers.Update: I've since purchased another two bottles lol. Maybe I'm a secret whisky drinker and am in the closet of denial as to how much I'm starting to like whisky as I've always been a vodka drinker!

Please note: this review was for the original... I haven't tasted the re-introduced 12 year old!Smooth, sweet and non-peaty with a satisfying but cultured burn at the tail. This has long been my benchmark for lower end single malts and it is such a shame it is being phased out and replaced by Founders Reserve - which, in my opinion, is nowhere near as good.If you are looking for a similar alternative then the closest I've found for the price is The Singleton 12 year old.

Glenlivet is one of my regular single malts along side Glenmorangie for special occasion and Glengrant for entertaining. Glen range malt whiskeys have an authentic and characteristic flavour but cannot be fully appreciated if used to blended whiskeys.Glenlivet is more fruity and vanilla.Recommend undiluted, on the rocks or dilute sparingly only with high quality spring water with less mineral content so as not to suppress the rich notes.

I got the product in a day and packed in proper way, kudos to amazon. I tried this scotch for first time really fell in love with it, it has fruit flavor in smell and extra smooth to palate. I ended up having two double large instead having single large. Once again, people who don't want peted or smoky flavored scotch definitely can prefer this. Ordering now 18 yrs old one to enjoy the best & thank you Glenlivet you made my day.

This is the whisky that began my affection for single malt whisky, especially Speyside distilleries. The Glenlivet 12 is lushously smooth and creamy vanilla notes, rich toffee, sweet fruits and spice and a long finish that is deliciously satisfying. It's a firm staple in my drinks cupboard and I highly recommend for anyone looking for great value, sophisticated single malt that offers great flavour and thoroughly enjoyable!

What a wonderful gem this is. It's been probably my favourite Speyside for more years than I care to remember. I try others, but always return to this.... Which makes it even more of a crime that this is being discontinued and being replaced by Founder's Reserve (a blend of different ages).Founder's Reserve is not as good so I'll be switching to Balvenie Doublewood when I can't get hold of any more 12 y.o.

I'm not a Whisky drinker, however, I fancied a tipple and this caught my eye - not overly expensive, a single malt, and not one of those peaty Islay types. I have to say that after having had my first taste of this, I may well become a Whisky drinker! (In moderation of course!). It's quite a sweet drink but with plenty of warmth and absolutely loads of flavours going off.Certainly worth a dabble!

This is a really good whisky. One of the best there is. I would say this is a mile stone for other Speyside distillers. Glenlivet is one of the oldest whiskys in the Speyside and It really shows when drinking any of their whisky's.I prefer this over the 15 and founders reserve but the 18 is still my favourite Glenlivet. It's got a lovely spice flavour

Always been a fan of Speyside whisky's and the Glenlivet is one of my favourite 12 year old whisky's from the region, it is nicer in my opinion than the none age statement replacement. As with all Speyside Whisky's it is a very smooth with that hint of sweetness you get from the region. Definitely one I would recommend

Bought this as I heard it was a good beginner scotch. Plus it was on sale for £30.Nose: Strong honey with slight floral notesTaste: Honey, no kick or burnI liked it's simplicity and smoothness. Very friendly but a little too one dimensional in my opinion. Overall, not a bad beginner scotch.

As a relatively new whisky drinker, this was one of the first single malts I tried and allowed me to fall in love with whisky. This is a tried and trusted whisky for any new or long time drinkers who want to enjoy a subtle fruity taste and a smooth finish.Delivery was next day.5/5

Fast delivery. My main complaint now is that the bottle is empty ;-(I see I have been asked to rate its Flavour, Sheerness and Value for Money. What on earth is sheerness of whiskey? (Unless bought in Sheerness, north Kent)

A good malt albeit a little overpriced normally. I like all the Glenlivet range. This comes with two Glenlivet glasses that are rather nice. They have quite a heavy base to avoid spillages.

Absolutely chuffed that the Glenlivet 12 is back though perhaps not the greatest affordable Speyside dram it once was. Now if they would just release the 16yr old Nadurra again.......

I'm a fan of the Speyside region single malts because unlike the very peaty lowland or Island single malts they are very smooth and mellow. Glenlivet is a very smooth whisky. Love it!
