My eight year old daughter had asked for a pink midi system for her room but given shelf space we decided to go for a boom box. Having lots of Sony products in our house we chose this item which is also available in turquoise. I am so glad we chose it, as she adores it and it really is a nice sturdy little machine. It had a cd player and am/fm radio which is a nice bonus, although my daughter mainly uses it for listening to music on cd and also audio books. We also own a Sony MP3 player and it can be played through it as well. It is well made with chunky buttons and dials which are great for smaller hands and also is very easy to operate. It also has a nice chunky handle.

We bought this for our 2 children (both under 7). Our main priority was that the unit had to be easy to use - this my sound obvious but we've purchased other units with on/off controls at the rear of the unit, eject mechanisms that fail after a month, and cd controls which bear no relation to the usual play/skip buttons on most units. In this respect - it's a great product. This unit has a chunky off/cd/radio switch on the left hand side, and clear cd controls on the right - with a large volume control as well. The cd door is manual - which is fine as this all aids the ease-of-use. Radio is fine with the attached arial.

Wanted a CD player for my daughters (6 years old) bedroom. Bought other cheaper brands only to be dissapointed when after 3 months it packs up! This is brilliant! The controls on the top of the machine are so clear they do exactly what it says on the tin! Volume up and down, switch between radio and cd player with ease. There is even a lift up flap to insert the CD, non of this press a button to eject and open rubbish! There won't be any "mum, how do you......" with this system. So basic but perfect for children to get the hang of. The sounds is quite tinny when you put the volume up but for my daughter to sing a long to hannah montana its good enough. Thoroughly recommend!

Purchased this for my partner for Xmas. Quite large, but comfy. Only problem I find is that the beans always sink back down to the bottom once you get off, rather than staying in the position you left it in. Overall, very pleased and would recommend this product. A lot more reasonable price than other bean bags I have seen for this size.

I purchased this for my 6 year old daughter's birthday and she loves it! It is robust enough for her not so gentle hands and simple enough for her to operate. The volume control is reasonable and is not capable of being so loud that you'd regret having bought it! Great product that I would recommend for a first CD player.

My 3 girls were really pleased to get this for Christmas and they have pretty much used it every day since. Nice big chunky buttons, the CD lid just lifts up. My 4yr old daughter can use it by her self with no problems. Radio works well too.The only downside is that I have to listen to High School Musical all day!!

...some people just like to complain for the sake of it! This product does exactly what it's supposed to do, and is well made and easy to use. I think the sound quality is acceptable for a carry-about system and as for it not having a phone-jack point, well, isn't that what MP3 players and iPods were invented for?!!!

I wanted an inexpensive CD player for my daughters bedroom. This arrived, and I was really impressed. It is neat and compact and in addition to a CD player it has a radio. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is just looking for a basic unit to play tunes on in the bedroom. Well worth the money.

We got this for my 4yr old daughters xmas after being disappointed with an expensive elc music system she got for her birthday month or so before had broken! It is fab for kids easy to work, durable and fab sound quality I thoroughly recommend this, I'd have to say I'd have it for myself actually!

This was a perfect present for a young girl into dancing and music - the sound quality is good. It can easily get loud enough for her to dance around with her sister and feel grown up. Easy controls and very robust. Pink - perfect for a little princess

perfect for a small childs room as its very easy to use and stylish with a big name brand. Only downside for me is that its not very loud but the more i think about it that could be a good thing.It is probably loud enough for a child though.

I brought this item for my 10 year old daughter and she is very pleased with it and found it easy to operate. The item was also delivered very quickly arriving within two days of ordering.

Easy to use, good quality sound, i bought this player 4 years ago and still working perfectly, my children still using it and making the most of this player!
