I got the 1200mm version, for squaring off across 8ft by 4ft ply board. I wish it had arrived a few hours earlier, to help with some boards I had just squared off.The frame is not that sturdy, and needs treating with sensible care, but it is robust enough for my DIY needs. It comes with its own carrying case.So far I have had no problem with it falling apart, as reported in some reviews, and I don't see what the problem was.One side is marked with inches (on the inside edge) and cm (on the outside edge). As it comes, the frame can only be opened one way, so the inch marking are only on the inside.There are two stop pins, which prevent the frame opening the other way. These were knocked out with a small punch,

Bought 2 of these to have in the workshop. They're nice and light , well built (quite strong) and I also fitted it to the true square we have certified for checking squarness (this is certified every 6 months by an independent company) and it turns out this squares 90 degree is actually 90.2 degrees .....for a square of this price to be this spot on is a good deal in my book.... considering a square I purchased from a decades well known company actually measured in at 94.5 degrees . I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone who requires a lightweight and accurate square at a great low price..It also comes with a handy little sheath for storage

Not had much luck with anything by Silverline. `For me, the brand is just the cheapest, poor quality junk you can buy. From Chisels, to spirit levels, without exception, everything I've bought from Silverline has been rubbish! Until now!Don't get me wrong, this isn't the be all and end all, but for the price, it is pretty good.One thing that I would say about this is that you need to really be careful when opening and closing it. It is quite stiff up to a point and then suddenly clicks into position, but your fingers are going to be in the way, especially when closing it!

This is a really quality product; solid, well made, good hinge action, useful sturdy carrying case. I bought it for getting straight edges when cutting fabric....Umm, I think I may have under estimated the size and weight of this frame square....but that is my error, nothing to do with the product or its quality. Excellent product...if I decide to build a house instead of sewing bunting...I'm sorted for angles and straight lines.

One of those things where, when you eventually buy it, you wonder why the hell you didn't buy one years ago! It makes all sorts of jobs in the home and garden so much easier - as well as laying bricks. It's also surprisingly sturdy and accurate - and folds up easily.Should have bought this when I was 25, not 65!!

I think this is fine if like me your only useing it occasionally.It's easy to open & folds away into a very slim fabric sleave so is easy to store.If however you are looking for something to use every day I would go for something a little stronger, this one is flexible though the joints/hinges are strong.

Used for squaring things up, what else would you do with it. Worked as you would expect and didn’t fall apart - which is also as you would expect. If it falls apart in two years time I will be annoyed but I will fix it. That’s what you do.

I bought this item to check door openings corners, as I was having trouble with pvcu patio sliders not being manufactured square.I've also used it to build a small L shaped retaining wall.Nice bit of kit for a decent price.

Does the job. Quite heavy, and folds out quite easily, but watch your fingers while closing- this gives you quite a nip if you're not careful! The storage / carry bag is a useful bonus.

Mine is fine, not sure what bits "fall apart".Bit wobbly but accurate in the corners, it is a 1200 mm square!I'm squaring up a corner for a shower unit so this will be just the job.

I find this to be a useful tool when setting out or testing for square its handy enough and is very easy to fold away and even comes in a nice sleeve good buy

A useful product that's accurate. However the square when in it's open locked position has a little too much play and rattles. Not bad for the price though.

The accuracy and build of this try square is fairly good - easy to store away, ideal for stud wall construction orjust checking trueness of walls etc.

This boomerang doesn’t return to me like all good boomerangs should.Probably wouldn’t take it to the park again as the edges are quite sharp...
