If it's the price of this product that appeals to you, as it did me, then you won't be disapointed. 'It does exactly what it says on the tin'. If you are looking for a top quality heavy duety voltage tester that will be used daily and rattle around in your tool box for the next ten years then I would have to say, this isn't it. I bought this product for occational DIY use and it is brilliant, the auiable noise and lights are clear and the switch is easy, if a little basic, to operate. Not the best product on the market but offers excellent value for money for DIYers who don't want to blow their thums off!

These work very well and to prove that I have bought about 4 so far. I have one stashed in most tool boxes and places where I'm likely to need one. I'm sure they saved my backside from shock once or twice in the time I owned them.The sounds warning along with the light are great features. One of the first ones I bought about a year ago had trouble clicking closed on the battery compartment. But the more recent ones have resolved this and they work brillianty.

I would recommend the Silverline 675220 Non-Contact Voltage Detector.Very responsive indicates as soon as AC mains power is detected and stops as soon as mains power is switched off unlike some detectors which carry on indicating several seconds after power has been cut. You can spend a small fortune on these tools but this one is nicely priced concidering the safety job it does and it came with a three year guranteeI think its a great little tool.

This tool certainly works as designed. I am a qualified electrician up to 17th edition, so if I approve it, it has to be good. It does all you need in a simple and informative way. There are other Non-contact testers out there admittedly, but for what it does, it works great and you won't be disappointed with it!

I bought this item after a local builder showed me the one he used, and told me how useful it is.Recently I used it to locate the fault in my strimmer, and it saved me having to do some unnecessary dismantling.A useful device at a rasonable price, and it was delivered quickly.

Excellent product that may just save you a trip to the hospital due to cowboy electricians. Easy to use saving you back and forward trips to the fuse board to see if a cable or appliance is energised. In my opinion an invaluable piece of equipment that every household should have.

what can i say what a steal. Great product for the price. The only down side is it aint bomb proof so i imagine if your on a building site you would have to care not to drop it on the floor it would break but with proper care and for the price i give this item a 5 STAR RATING

I have no experience with electricity and I bought one of these to change a light fitting with. I'm not dead so it must work alright. It's probably worth checking it on something that is definitely live before you use it though, so you can be sure it's working.

This product is exactly as described. Instructions maybe wrong on how to test when you first receive it.It just works.Its well worth every penny even if it was double the price. Shame that you cant use it as a screwdriver as well

a basic voltage tester that will do the job for you,at a very cheap price.it will save you getting a shock by doing a quick check on those cables."are they live or dead just check them with the tester "BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY...

To use ,it was simple effective and did exactly what I wanted it for . It is one of the tools you keep in your kitchen drawer as most problems are with kitchen gadgets.I have used it 3 times already and it found one faulty cable.

This was pretty much as expected, it works very well, but I suspect for the more regular user, the build quality will not stand up to the rougher knocks it will receive. At this price though it is very reasonable value.

This little gadget is a god send, don't cut corners and hope wires are not electrified ,use this gadget and know the wire is dead.Could save a life or a nasty jolt. For a very low price this gadget is the tops.

A good little product which works well, the only thing I wasn't quite so keen on was the on off switch which could be improved. However I have bought a second one of these.
