First let's explain, measuring the water vapour in the air isn't an easy job, it's temperature dependent and accurate sensors are expensive and have to be regularly calibrated. So I wasn't expecting exceptional accuracy at this price. I already had a similar device but now I needed another for a different property. When this came I had an ideal opportunity to test it out in a real situation as I had just had some powerful extractor fans fitted to my new bathroom. Having an open shower it rapidly steams up and hence the need for good ventilation. I placed both new and my old (different make) sensors in the bathroom and left them overnight to stabilise. Next morning I had a shower and as expected everything steamed up.My old monitor recorded 98% which looked rights as steam was running down the mirror and the window. However the Thermopro was only registering 73%. The temperature was also out. This didn't look right so I left them in situ with the fans on and over the next 20 minuted the fans did their job and the bathroom reduced to a more reasonable condition with both monitors showing readings in the 50s.Over the next few day I continue testing and it didn't seem right. The readings on the Thermopro didn't seem consistent. By this time I had received correspondence from the company asking if I was happy with the Thermopro. I sent them the results of my tests and asked them if they considered the readings were correct. They immediately responded and said this wasn't as expected and replaced the item without question. The replacement one arrived within a few days and is fine. It's not exactly the same reading as my old one but is pretty close, well within the expected accuracy for a device at this price.Any company can have a faulty device sent out it's how they deal with the problem which counts. All I can say is Great Company and service and a Great Product.

Firstly it was smaller than expected but it is easy to read so no detriment. Arrived boxed rather tatty and scuffed looked as though it had been opened before even the box seal looked tampered with so assuming this is a secondhand returned product but no way to prove or disprove this but has happened before with amazon items. That said followed simple instructions placed battery in work straight from the pack came on at 23 degrees c actual temp according to digital room thermostat 19.1c left it alone for 40 minutes and it settled to the same as room thermostat so put it in greenhouse were it’s been purchased for with an analogue thermometer that was reading 24.5 c this was at 19.1c left it ingreenhouse 30 minutes and it stabilised at 24.5c so seems to work fine and in good keeping with other thermometers. The rear c-f button changes between the two very easily and also deletes the high low readings and resets them to 0 start again. Left overnight and it has recorded a high of 25.6 and a low of 11.9c within the greenhouse which exactly what I wanted it for so I can monitor day and night temps to keep my plants in s stable temp and humidity so after 24 hours all is well so I’m not going to complain to amazon re the suspect quality I’m going to let it run it also comes with thermo pro 1 year warranty so it’s not so bad bad start but going well so at moment it’s a good buy and doing what it should I would recommend but be aware it maybe a return or second.

Recently installed underfloor heating in a room that has 3 outside walls (and no direct damp-proofing).This has been ideal to help calibrate the heating controller. It sits on the side table next to me so I know what the temperature is where I sit rather than what it happens to be at the controller on the wall. The min/max function is handy for determining what the temp drops to when the heating switches to overnight mode as well as what it rises to when the sun is streaming through the window in the afternoonI find the humidity reading really useful too as it allows me to keep an eye on air moisture levels, especially important for me because of the lack of underlying damp-proofingIt can be switched between Fahrenheit and Centigrade with a little button on the back and also has a handy magnet on the back for attaching directly to a (ferrous) metal surfaceI can't vouch for its accuracy in absolute temperature terms, but so far it has been consistent and that is what is important to me. With trial and error I know what is the optimal temperature read out for my comfort and in turn what I have to set the underfloor heating to ensure the place I sit remains more or less at that temperatureBe aware that it doesn't react instantaneously to changes in temperature so when you move from room to room you need to give it a few minutes to adjust to the new temperatureOverall very pleased with this. I will be buying another one for my kitchen!

I bought 4 of these so can comment on the general accuracy of them. I have used them outside and in outbuildings over the Winter and temperatures have varied weather wise from minus a few degrees to toasty in the greenhouse. The one in the greenhouse I discovered lying face down in a centimetre of water but was still working okay. Checks with various other temperature and humidity devices show these to be comparable. The four I have, show very little variance in humidity, and a 0.9 degree C variance in temperature between the highest value and the lowest value when they are next to each other. Close enough for most things.A little button on the back allows you to change from centigrade to Fahrenheit. The same button zeroes the high and low readings for both the humidity and temperature. The button does not stick out much so I find it a bit fiddly to use but should be easy enough for people with smaller fingers. The plus side is that it is difficult to accidentally reset the readings.Check the paperwork that comes with these devices. I just looked at the instructions in the trial one I bought and missed the bit of paper offering £1 off the price of another one of these until I had bought all four. I could have saved myself £3. Well worth the money if they last a decent time. So far they have lasted four months in cold weather and high humidity. The High/Low readings are very useful and easy to reset.Very happy with these at this price

I use one to monitor the environment of an elderly relative. It is attractive in appearance and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.In addition to showing current values for temperature and relative humidity it shows the maximum and minimum values for those measurements since you last reset the memories. There is one control button: press that briefly and the temperature reading changes between Centigrade and Fahrenheit; press it for more than three seconds and it resets the max/min memories. Nice.No claim is made for accuracy (not to be confused with the 0.1 degree precision of the reading!)but mine reads within one degree Centigrade of more expensive devices and the hygrometer reading is equally consistent with those. It has a neat folding prop so that you can stand it upright, also a magnet which will hold it firmly against a ferrous metal. My only criticism is that there is no provision for mounting it on a wall. A "keyhole" mounting slot would probably take up too much room in so compact a device but all it needs is a separate small steel plate with a countersunk screw hole in it. We rugged indoor types can make one of those easily enough but it would have been nice if that had been provided.

Having purchased the ThermoPro Digital Thermometer I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. Packaged tastefully, the small thermometer is ideal to be placed on a desktop. The measurements are clear and bold and easy to read with a good range of low/high reading displayed. The temperature is consistent with other products I have and so I have no problems with believing its displaying the correct temperature. However the humidity readings seem to be somewhat off. I used a dehumidifier to test my theory. The reading was a constant 61% and so using a dehumidifier with its reading set to control the rooms humidity at 50% I left this on for approximately 5 hours. The dehumidifier performed well and removed the excess moisture in order to bring the humidity levels down and shut down once the 50% humidity level had been reached. However the thermometer displayed a reading of 57% and kept fluctuating between 56 & 57. This error margin is somewhat too big for it be acceptable. I didnt however buy another reader to check which one indeed was correct...All in all its a great product at a competitive price.

The case is a high quality plastic moulding which looks and feels robust. Some cheap and nasty products have grotty plastic that makes the whole thing looks nasty and cheap. This one is excellent. The display is clear and easy to read. It is made in Germany.I have a couple of niggles. The temperature accuracy is stated as ±1°C. I regard this as poor, although you find the same poor spec on all similar products. It is digital. Surely they could put in a digital correction factor to get it to be more accurate at one temperature (like 20°C for example). I have three and one is 0.5°C off relative to the other two. Relative accuracy is easier to achieve than absolute accuracy. The read rate is stated as 10 seconds. That is the display update rate. They do not specify the settling time, a major omission. Move it from one room to another and the reading is not correct after 10 seconds, or a minute, or even 5 minutes. I guess it is around 15 minutes. It is an important spec point. It would be better if these two points were addressed, but it still has to have 5 stars because of its value for money.

I like it. There's a little button on the back to switch all the figures between Fahrenheit and Centigrade and a long press on the same button means you can set all the Low and High readings to zero as soon as you get it. That's all the controls. Neat.It looks good as well, so no problems putting it on a wall somewhere, although it's fitted with a magnet on the back so you can just fix it to the white appliance of your choosing.Too early to give its figures an accuracy score. I'll need to buy another brand and let them fight it out amongst themselves. It comes with the required battery, which is a really nice touch I thought, despite the fact that I've just been over to Poundland and bought a load that I don't now need.Still, the wife always seems to need batteries for something or other; goodnesss how she manages to get through so many in a such a short space of time, but at least I'm in her good books for providing her with a few more. No idea what the ironic laugh was for when I gave them to her, but hey - prospects of nookie this year looking good. Two in a row. Get in !

I am extremely pleased with this Therm Pro gauge. I have tested it against my 4 other thermometers, all of which have been previously tested for accuracy. My other half is a Professor of physics and knows how to do this properly. So, it is accurate to +/-1 degree, looks great, is well made (in Germany) and easy to operate. It has a useful fold-out stand at the back and a good magnetic plate for sticking onto metal surfaces. It measures from -10 to 50 degrees C. and samples every 10 seconds and displays the low, high, and current temperature and the same with the humidity levels. It takes an AAA battery which is supplied with the unit.Unlike some others,I particularly like the way the current temp and humidity level are displayed in larger digits and the display is exceptionally clear - easily the best one we have . It has a small smiling face telling you that the humidity level is comfortable. There is a reset button and a button to change to Fahrenheit display.Honestly, I would look no further, this is a truly excellent gauge. I am buying 2 more.Highly recommended.

We often have high humidity in our home, and already have a couple of dehumidifiers that we use, but were never quite sure what the actual humidity levels were. We bought 2 of these hoping to gain visibility of the humidity levels, and have been very pleased with them. Both devices worked straight out out of the box once the supplied battery was inserted. The display is very clear and easy to understand. This model does not feature a back light, but we knew this before purchase and one is not required anyway where we we have placed them. Mounting options are good, and we have one stuck to out fridge and one on top of a set of drawers on the landing. The device measures both humidity and temperature. The devices agree on humidity, and although I do not have a way of independently verifying the readings I am confident they are within the correct range. Temperature readings are perfect, and match a traditional thermometer that we have in our kitchen.Overall we are delighted with these, and consider them to be excellent value for money.

As I keep birds in enclosed aviaries I was conscious of the need to know the temperature within the buildings at any given time but particularly the lowest temperature overnight as it would determine whether I needed additional heating or not. I purchased two of these; readings in both very similar, happy with that. Humidity reading does not concern me for my purpose, but it is the largest reading on the dial, all of which are easily read. The item itself will fit in the palm of your hand. It can stand alone on a shelf or such like, or be attached by its magnet at the back to any metal object that you find suitable for its location. You can not hang it up.I have these in place now for a number of weeks and so far are doing the job as intended. I cannot give any view on battery life at this point as you will appreciate but would expect this should not be a problem.Overall: At this early stage, I'm satisfied with the product; satisfied with the purchase price, and therefore can recommend it with confidence.

I had been repeatedly told by my council surveyor that my home suffered with condensation damp. So i purchased dehumidifyers. Over a period of months my health problems increased. As an asthma sufferer I knew there had to be something wrong with the information we were given and I needed to prove it. I purchased these inexpensive hygrometers. Real easy to use. Since their installation ive had to remove the dehumidifiers as my home doesnt suffer with condensation damp like we were told. The dry air was causing my asthma to worsen rapidly. My home is provably naturally very dry and I've had to purchase humidifyers instead. I am able to control the humidity of my home which allows me to have better control of my asthma symptoms.Since their installation I am yet to have an attack. Love the simplicity of it. Gives you an accurate reading responds to changes in himidity very well. Such as heating being on which you can see drops the humidity level. They are worth their weight in gold to me personally.

I purchased this item and also the larger ThermoPro for a property that I let out to tenants. Long story short for the first time in years our property is suffering from condensation damp. I explained to our tenants the importance of ventilating, opening windows, turning radiators down periodically, etc etc, sadly to no avail; on entering my property it would be like entering a sauna. Last week I placed the larger ThermoPro in their lounge and the ThermoPro50 in their kitchen. I explained the readings to them and how to operate them. Exceptionally easy to operate might I add, a lovely clear display, you can easily see whether your room is at optimal comfort range, too dry, or too wet.Either device is very easy to read and operate and very good value. The instructions were exceptionally easy to follow. I went back to the property today, radiators had been turned down, a couple of windows opened and the 'comfort' symbol showing in both rooms. One very happy Landlord. Thank you very much indeed :)

Great little gadget. It's smart, compact, has a stand on the back and a magnet so you can choose where to place it. Screen is clear and easy to read as are the numbers. I was originally looking for something to replace my temperature guage, this one shows you humidity levels as well which is really useful but ideally I would have preferred the temperature to be shown at the top and in larger figures and the humidity level below and in smaller figures, however I've got used to it now and this would just be personal choice rather than a criticism of the product. Don't expect instant results if you move it from room to room with quite different temperature variations, it will guage them but it will be a gradual transition. When I set my ThermoPro up initially, I thought the Humidity part wasn't working as nothing was showing, however within a couple of days the number and face appeared. I would recommend this product, it's accurate and a great price - I'm really pleased with it.

This is a great little thermometer (fits in the palm of your hand). I bought this one for better accuracy as it gives a temperature reading up to one decimal place. The difference between 23.5 and 24.4 can feel a lot, yet my other thermometer would display these both as 24.I also love the humidity reading. It even has a smiley face yo display comfort level. One interesting thing is that it never appears as humid in my room as the bbc weather tells me it is outside (may be an indoor/outdoor thing). The humidity has never gone higher than 70% inside even when 95% outside. The face is often grumpy. I think that is because the Uk is relatively humid and anything over 60% will make it grumpy. It has a handy min and max for both temp and humidity. This can be reset at any time. Degrees can also be changed to Fahrenheit if desired.I would definitely recommend.Oh also the accuracy is pretty good. It agrees with another thermometer I have.
