I'm very chuffed with the 3/4 drive silverline socket set. For the price they are very sturdy, I've used them for cracking wheel studs on various tractors with a 4foot breaker bar and they haven't slipped or cracked yet. Yes you get a life time guarantee on them but if you are regularly using a large tube on the end of the ratchet they will fail and then I wouldn't expect to get a replacement.The box is cheap but more than sturdy enoughThe ratchet feel quite nice to handle.The extension bars feel solid.All the large sockets feel and look great, my only moan is that the smaller sockets from 19-24 have not been formed all the way though so they look cheap and tacky.

This is one ugly set of sockets but seem pretty strong, Warning! the following contains descriptions of tool abuse and any professionals might want to look away now..I managed to persuade my boss to get this set to get a rusted 45mm plug out of a compressor, as the plug (not the socket) was badly cast l had to hammer it on and the socket showed no ill effects from this 'technical' adjustment, I then had to use a 4 foot length of barrel on the ratchet to get extra leverage to break the rust & free the plug, not that this set would stand this sort of abuse regularly but for the money we were impressed, yes, they are rough looking and yes,

These sockets are fugly. To save money they have only been machined where necessary, so you see all the casting ripples in the non-functional areas of the socket like the base and inside in the centre area. But I just don't care. For the price they are unbeleivable value, a whole set for the price of one single large socket from an established brand, and to cap it all, free delivery to Italy!! I don't need these sockets every day, I just need them for the occasions a few times per year when I need to undo something big, so for me they are ideal. If I worked on HGVs or tanks every day then I'd obviously go for a "proper" £500 set, but for me these are perfect.

Arrived with case slightly dented but easily put back into shape with good strong hands.Machining not brilliant but at this price I'm more than happySocket holes are a little off centre on some sockets but no big deal there.You really can't go wrong at the price shown.Delivered super saver by HDNL so i was a little worried having read some reviews about this company, but i tracked my parcel all the way and it was delivered without any problems.Would recommend this product, well worth the price, Thank you !!!

For the price this socket set is great. It loses 1 star because the ratchet doesn't work . It slips constantly so it'll be going in the scrap bin. I have a professional 3/4 ratchet that I'll be using with them instead. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad one. The sockets themselves are heavy and built for medium abuse . I definitely wouldn't be using them with an impact gun (some people tend to rather than buying the impact sockets) overall I'm happy with the purchase

ok its not the best quality but you'll have to pay exponentially more for something not much better, i've used mine quite heavily for atleast a year now and nothings broken yet, however i have another set the same at work and the ratchet is a bit sticky but thats probably because its been used out on the farm and has got full of mud and grit so you can't hold that against silverline. i'd highly recommend this

This is a fantastic product for this price. The 3/4inch T-bar, ratchet and extension bars alone are worth the money and the sockets, although not perfectly surface machined on parts of the surface, do the job perfectly well.In the long run, use this to start your socket tool collection and, over time, replace one socket at a time with a quality brand such as Snap-On. This is a genuine bargain.

FANTASTIC VALUE, works out at 50p a piece, came unwrapped so every Tom, Dick and Harry could have helped their self..!...BUT THEY DIDN'T..I consider myself very lucky to find such a bargain. It has paid for itself immediately :- with some 12mm studding a car person can fit suspension arm bushes on bigger vehicles nice and easy..WELL ALMOST..a great help if you have the knowhow and the will.....

For the money this is a brilliant buy. However the wrapping is inadequate I sent the first back as it had a damaged case in transit. The second was little better so I gave up and put up with the bashed case. Just wrapped in a plastic wrapper and due to the weight ends up damaged. I use it more than I expected especially good for really tight nuts as there is great leverage on the T bar

Nice little jobbing set, for those nasty wheel bearing nuts. A bit rough on some of the castings and the edges of the tin box it comes in is made of razor blades.If you only intend to do the odd diy job on your car then its perfect..Ive bought a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter kit so i can torque the nuts up as i didnt want to be buy a 3/4 torgue wrench..Over all i'm very pleased with it

this socket set was bought as an xmas present for my father, however due to the incompetent courier company used by amazon (yodel) it was not delivered so I bought an identical one from an ebay shop who managed to get it delivered on xmas eve. But anyway, the sockets look rough and ready but strong and come in a decent metal tin which should last ages.

After reading some reviews on this product, I was a little cautious about buying this set, but I was pleasantly surprised at it's quality given the price, when it arrived. It may not last a lifetime in the hands of an HGV mechanic, (I was one) but for the average guy it's fine, and you would have to use a long tube on the T bar to break it..

Heavy weight and professional. At least that is how it appears to me. I needed a large sized socket to remove a steering wheel, and I was bit surprised to find that this meant I needed a whole new set. But now I own a very heavy and solid socket set. Sorted my steering wheel. Now waiting for some other opportunity to heave it out and about.

Reasonable Socket Set in price and quality, good metal box and quick delivery. Note that the set contains (I suspect) the most popular large size metric socket, it didn't contain the correct metric socket to fit my Fiat Van, but I had an odd old A/F that fitted fine. I needed it for other options and the ratchet, t/bar etc, so a good buy.

These sockets lack the refined feel of,say, a "Stahlwille" product, but are nevertheless perfectly adequate for occasional use.As others have remarked, the smaller sockets are a little crude, but they are serviceable, and most people would have these sizes in 1/2" anyway.At the price the set represents remarkable value!
