-YOU FIND A LINK TO A HIGH QUALITY VERSION OF THE VIDEO IN THE FIRST COMMENT-#SpecsI will begin with a brief overview about the specs of this device. The tablet features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4GB of RAM. It also has 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 400GB using a MicroSD card. The device offers a USB-C port and a headphone jack. Furthermore this model offers a LTE modem for a fast internet connection. The matching S-Pen is included with the device.#PowerThe Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 cpu is a well-known chip that has been used by so many devices in the year 2017. However, for a top device in 2018, this CPU fells kind of out of date. Also, the 4GB of RAM is fine, but compared to smartphones in the same price range not that much anymore. But if you compare the Tab S4 to other Android Tablets on the market, the picture changes for the better. It currently has the performance crown, leading over the Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro. It can't compete with the new iPad Pro though. However, I don't focus so much on benchmarks, the subjective feeling has to be good for me. Luckily, everything runs smoothly and the programs start quickly. Even performance-hungry programs like Adobe Lightroom work very well. More RAM would still have been desirable, especially with regard to DeX. More about that later.#DisplayThe obvious highlight of the tablet is the 10.5 inch display. The Super AMOLED panel offers a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 288 PPI. The maximum brightness is approximately 450 cd/m². Not only the resolution provides a good viewing experience, but above all, the color representation is very rich and powerful thanks to the AMOLED technology. Samsung also offers different color modes to choose. You can choose between a very saturated image or a neutral look. For example, I prefer the Amoled Photo mode.#S-PenThe S-Pen is included with the tablet and does not require to be recharged over time. It's made of plastic, but it still looks like a high quality product because of the gloss optic. The built-in button has a pleasant haptic feedback. The use of the S-Pen is great fun and massively enhances the usability of the tablet. Not only the input is very accurate, but also the additional functions increase the productivity a lot. You can easily create screenshots from areas and mark them with handwritten notes. Everything works very intuitively.#BatteryWith a capacity of 7300mAh you are probably expecting very long runtimes. However, the results are only okay but not overwhelming. The predecessor Tab S3 sometimes shows much better results, although the Tab S3 only offers a battery capacity of 6000mAh. I am referring here to the serious test values from Notebookcheck.com.My subjective impression is that the tablet lasts pretty much as long as my now older One Plus 3T. With normal usage you easily last one day, if you are a power user you going to need a power socket during the day.#CamerasA few words about the cameras. I haven't tested them that much, because I don't think that they will be a key feature to anyone buying this tablet. That's probably what Samsung thought as well. The photo cameras are nice, offer funny and childish functions like stickers or filters, but nothing special. However, the video function of the rear camera delivers a really decent 4k picture quality .#SoftwareThe pre-installed Android version is 8.1.0, which its overlayed with a Samsung theme. The Android security patch level is listed as October 1, 2018. In addition to a few Samsung apps, Mircosoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint are pre-installed on the tablet. In almost all Samsung apps you are asked directly for a Samsung account, if you want to use them. All in all, there are no major system changes or anything you would find annoying.Dex is an exciting feature which really offers great additional value. If you use the tablet with an optional keyboard you really get close to laptop feeling. Especially for multitasking this feature is great. In this case, 6 or even 8GB RAM would make this mode perfect. This feature also works great in combination with an external monitor. The USB-C port can be used for screen output, depending on which port you need an adapter is necessary. However, I did not manage to successfully produce a 4K output from the tablet, although my monitor is a native 4k screen. The adapter I used also lists 4K as compatible.#SummaryThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is certainly the best Android tablet currently on the market. This is not only because of the overall good quality of the tablet, but also because of the lack of competition. So Samsung doesn't even have to install a state-of-the-art processor and can also save a little money on RAM. The ability to have models with more internal memory than just 64GB would also be great. The display is absolutely brilliant and you probably won't want to miss it anymore if you use it once. The S-Pen is intuitive and increases the productivity enormously. Together with a keyboard and Dex you come very close to a good all-in-one device. Overall, there is only one specific negative point, and that's the price. For 500£ for the Wifi version and 550£ for the LTE version, you probably going to think twice whether the tablet is worth it. If current top hardware would be installed, the internal storage doubled or if more accessories would be included, this price would be more acceptable.

Apart from all of its fantasticness it's good looks and amazing Dex feature (which looks like the future to me). Its not without its problems...1. no finger print reader. the iris scanner sounds funky but in reality it's hard to use in low light and doesn't seem to work as well with app security like banks etc. Finger print just works better. 2. Camera placement is awful for anyone who likes to video chat in landscape mode. Constantly putting my fingers by mistake over camera and sensors. Bad placement.3. The pen is brilliant but will always be left at home for fear of losing it. Any tablet with a pen should include a place to conceal within the tablet or it's just bitty and agrivating and looks like an after thought.Which ruins how fantastic the pen actually is.4. Lack of accessories .Apart from the above problems the tablet is a work of art with a few imperfections I'm really enjoying the tablet and the endless possibilities that Dex brings.. great to have something fresh new exciting and useful... Not just a gimmick..well done.Good work Samsung a beautiful innovative tablet but the design faults although small have a big impact on the usability of the tablet making it awkward at times ... Maybe a second camera in the future one for each orientation.. include a fingerprint reader in the screen or power button, most comfortable positions... definitely a home for the stylus and laugh at other manufacturers that dont it's a must...I hope this honest general user experience is useful feedback. As said General really enjoying the tab S4 and have my eyes on your S6 model now. I'm available to product test .. ;-)2.

So glad I went for the s4 over the iPad. The package came with the pen and keyboard and as a youtuber I needed some a tab that was dynamic. The simplicity of this tab means I can edit at anytime with key features like the pen and keyboard touch screen making life easier and also faster. The fact I record a lot of footage in 4k and other formats means I can see all the details I want my followers to see. The external storage is a great feature allowing up to 400gb means I can store longer videos at better quality. The price of the s4 is brilliant for what you get.I would highly recommend the s4 to any budding photographer or film maker as the features and quality the screen provides is out ofthis world.Battery life is amazing I use this along with my gopro hero 7 and have to download alot of footage which means the device is sitting for long periods downloading. The battery seems to last forever but charges faster then my s10 pluse phone. The keyboard is very easy to use and also its comfortable the keys are handy to reach works nice and it does have a professional look about the whole device. It's not heavy either. The pen its self is like using a pencil. The pen doesn't take batterys so its mega simple to use and have ready when you need it. Comfort is key with the pen it's great and I find myself using it constantly. The pen does come with different tips which I've not tried to change or use but at least I have some.In conclusion the s4 has to be one of the best tabs I've owned and I feel now I'd be lost without it.

Have been using the excellent Tab S4 for the last month and I must admit it's far exceeds my expectations.Yes I was expecting a great screen, but it's much better, crisp and clear. Yes I was expecting a fast OS, it's so much better, finally able to uninstall unwanted apps, 64gb is more than enough storage, smart things makes connecting to other devices easy and intuitive. I've never used the S pen before, and at first I thought its probably not going to be much good for me, how wrong, again it's intuitive, and makes multitasking a breeze. I was skeptical about Iris/face recognition, again I was wrong, it's quick and easy to use. Though the main feature that is outstanding is the Audio system, the 4 speakers finally make entertainment entertaining, then you turn on Dolby surround sound. Wow! I am now just starting to explore the Dex feature, I was always skeptical about a separate dex system, now it's integrated, brilliant. For me though I don't know how much I'll make use of dex rather than normal Android interface, I understand the reasoning, but I haven't used a laptop/pc for a few years now. I may find that it's easier doing certain tasks, or for separating work/entertainment.Though the fact that Samsung has included the option is a huge bonus. I've been trying to think of some negative aspects or features, but I genuinely don't have any. Great screen, fantastic Audio, great OS, brilliant features, proper good battery, good connectivity. Would highly recommend.

Samsung Dex turns this into a great portable laptop. Can't recommend it enough. I mainly use my device as a more portable media laptop. Through dex it runs just like a windows device would, I've connected it to my NAS and PC network which makes it so easy to access all my media and thanks to the dex interface I can multi-task and have multiple things open in a way that is difficult with any other android system.Battery life is surprisingly good lasting hours longer than I would have expected it to.Speakers are much better than expected as well considering the size of the device, more than loud enough that I don't have to use the highest volume setting most of the time.As you would expect from a Samsung the best thing about this is the screen. It's a great looking OLED with a nice resolution for it's size.It comes with an stylus pen as well which I never thought I would use as much as I do, the S pen is really accurate and as long as I hold the tablet properly it handles really well, helping avoid finger prints on the screen. The only complaint about the S pen so far is that I haven't found a way to re-map the function of the button on the pen yet. I would love to set that to the back function on Android, would make life so much easier.Overall great device would definitely recommend.

I had a the 2014 10.1 Tab, and the new Tab S4 is a definite worthy upgrade in terms of performance and sound quality. I haven't used it with Dex yet, but I do feel that it will cope with running multiple apps without issue. I do, however, have a few gripes with it. 1/ There is no way to change the grid size on the Home Page. Very frustrating as I find the default grid spacing too wide. My Galaxy S8+ phone does have an option to change the grid size, so why is it not available on the Tab S4? 2/ I've always used the built in Samsung email app as it's simple, clean and neat. It worked perfectly with the previous tablet, but with the Tab S4, when held in landscape orientation, there is no way of hiding the preview pane, you have to hold it in portrait orientation. Very, very, very annoying, especially when all protective cases are designed to place the tablet down in landscape orientation. 3/ I use USB sticks to store video's, all of which work perfectly on my S8+ phone, my Windows 10 PC, and on the old tablet. The Tab S4 doesn't recognize several of these USB sticks. They are all USB 3, SanDisk/Kingston, 64Gb/128Gb, so there's no reason for them not to work. Again, very frustrating.Hopefully future software updates will resolve these issues.

So I originally had the Galaxy Tab S 10.5" and made the decision to buy the Galaxy Tab S3, which was a big mistake and I really wished I hadn't. It just wasn't a good tablet. Screen size and resolution were both down on the Tab S.Having looked at whether I should go with the new iPad Pro 10.5, I made the decision to go for the Tab S4 and pleased I did. It is so much better than the Tab S3. The screen is lovely and the bezels are so much smaller. It was very easy to set-up, as moving from the Tab S3.It is ultra thin, but I have added a good quality case and screen protector to it, in order to protect it. Unlocking the tablet with the Face unlock feature is really quick - faster than my Galaxy S9+ phone.Having the One UI, which the S3 doesn't have, is great. This due to the tablet running Android Pie. The tablet is both fast and smooth when using in and videos are amazingly sharp. The only negative I have is that I don't find the S Pen to be a responsive as I would have expected. Which is disappointing. Apart from that, it's a great buy and much improved on the Tab S3.

Bought a used version of this product from Amazon about a week ago. I am so, so pleased with it!The tablet came earlier than expected, in very good condition. I'm using it with the S-pen for my classes, and it's amazing. I can now take notes directly on the slides as the professor presents, and I don't have to worry about mis-transcribing notes from slides, or about how to incorporate hand-drawn diagrams in my digital notes. It's all together now! :)This was a great purchase, especially used. This tablet is super fast and seems to be able to handle lots of apps at once. It can access the Play store, and I've ported my Google settings over so that it has the exact same appearance as my Pixel phone,so I have a seamless experience. It's as seamless as the Apple ecosystem, but much more flexible. This tablet works great with the S-pen, it's a very slight learning curve but there's little to no lag, and all sorts of options for how to use the pen. The display is gorgeous and has an enormous range of bright light, black, and colors.

I have had my S4 for 5 months now and use it a great deal. I bought the keyboard cover at the same time. It is a great combination. It is very close to what I want/need but here is a wish list:Things like office suites (at least the ones that I have tried) need to be just a little bit better. Things like pictures in word documents and printing seem to let them down. Printing could be better but is improving.Would like to share my phone screen (like I could with SideSync). If I need to be able to do it on my laptop then I sure need to do in on my S4!!! Same goes for all SideSync features.Would like to be able to write Python and have a proper programming environment (maybe one exists and I havenot found it yet)Would like to be able to change the mouse right click to be more like the laptop right click.Yes, you've guessed, I would like to use my Tab S4 instead of having a laptop!Enjoying using DeX and love the Linux on Dex! Linux on DeX could satisfy many of my wants listed above.Thank you!

I bought the S4 tab as main home device, and art work. I use the note 9 as my daily driver. I'm annoyed with a few thinks on the Tab S4 and that is if its in a keyboard case. Volume left and right switches are upside down. Click left volume button goes to the +Up and right on screen . Click right volume button goes -Down and le. It's a flaw that I didnt expect to encounter coming from Samsung. Hopefully they can fix this in an update. Battery capacity may be large but with the extra screen real estate this depletes the battery in no time, so if on your travels worth getting a batterybank. I'm impressed with it's build quality it feels very premium. Also the collaboration with Staedtler in creating the Noris Digital stylus pencil flawless artwork and the pressure sensitivity is incredible. Over all I dont regret this purchase, just has a really annoying volume rocker. Being I've been with Samsung for years. I press left for volume down on all devices, the Tab S4 is the old saying "Nope Your other left"

This tablet looks to be good quality. (As it should, considering the price of it!)I don't claim to be an expert, so I took advantage of one of the free, one-to-one lessons that are available at Samsung shops. The man there was very helpful and explained enough to get me going. I can go again, once I get stuck on something else. The tablet boots up very quickly and the 'picture' is very clear. The filing system seems logical enough, although i think my old Galaxy Note 10.1 was a bit easier to use. That one wouldn't print to my HP printer and the Bluetooth didn't match my remote speaker, but the S4 does.Battery life is far better than the old device. The S Pen seems to be pretty useful, but I'm going to need a bit of practice with it.I'm sure I won't be able to scratch the surface of its capabilities, but I'll do my best.It was a bit pricey and I don't know it compares to other brands, but so far, I'm happy with it.

This was a birthday present for my wife. Her old Samsung tablet was not holding a charge very well and becoming somewhat sluggish. I may have the battery replaced and sell it...She likes her new tablet very much. The only down side is that it wasn't especially ment for the UK market. Its default language was Portuguese. That can be overcome, wonder about warranty issues...let's hope we don't have any.Back to three tablet. Her old S2 had only 1 processor, this has 8 and 2.34gh. The speed is very impressive. The audio and screen imaging are also greatly improved, but this is an S4.Overall, very impressed and satisfied. Some may consider it a bit pricy, but, come on,you get what you pay for (some people seem to complain about any and everything...).If you 'need' a tablet this is very good value for money and the service/delivery was earlier than advised.I would use this provider again, definitely!

As you’d expect the Galaxy Tab S4 is a great tablet. It is very good to use with fast response, excellent screen, great battery life and plenty oomph. If I’m being picky there are some minor points that mean it isn’t quite my perfect tablet, but they are fairly minor. They include the lack of a charging indicator light (there’s no way to see if it’s charging unless it’s powered up) and the lack of a fingerprint sensor. Yes, it does have facial & retina unlocking but there are times when a fingerprint sensor is more practical and I was surprised not to find one on the S4. The official Samsung accessories are way too expensive of course, but the tab itself makes up for that and there are lots and lots of non-official products available which work very nicely, thank you. The Tab S4 has become my go-to tech in the weeks that I’ve had it, and I’m delighted with it.

I was after a small laptop replacement and opted for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 due to a few features that competitors lack.64gb of internal storage is plenty and I've backed that up with a 128gb SD card for media.Samsung Dex is incredible. I've been using it with an ultrawide 2560*1080 monitor and a usb C dock with HDMI and various ports and was surprised to see that it natively worked at the 21:9 aspect ratio. The display is one of the best I've ever used on a tablet (or any device for that matter) and the 16:10 aspect ratio is the sweet spot for media consumption and gaming Performance has been great in all modes and I've already spent more time gaming on it than I'd expect to.Battery life is great and using the S-pen to draw and take notes is intuitive and fun.An excellent tablet with plenty of apps, games and media to consume.

This tablet has been a delight to use and have used it since February. I love the looks of it and the quality of the device and is very well put together. However, my only issue is the 4gb of ram is not quite enough for some things. Sometimes the animations are laggy. The speakers however are amazing, with the surround sound. Few things I wish the upcoming tablet will have ( if there are plans for a new one in the future)-- thinner bezels-better performance-please add flashlight which tab s6 does not have as it is very useful- different screen ratio(slightly wider) as currently I find the screen to be quite narrow although this isn't a huge issue.-better support for apps as sometimes they forceme to rotate to portraitI overall recommend this tablet if you are looking for the one of the best tablets out there!
