I bought two of the cheapest amazon fire 7 inch tablets and I am very happy with the purchase. Nice small tablets, no need for bigger one for children aged 3 and 6, this small is really handy. I made 3 accounts, one for myself and one for each of my sons. Now I can access all three accounts from any of the tablets. I managed to download Youtube onto my account then saved it to their accounts and now they only use their tablets for watching things on Youtube and sometimes for games. The 3 year old broke it within a few days then we got a new one instead very quickly, no issues with replacing. I had to contact amazon and I had a chat with the costumer service colleagues who were polite and helpful.Tablets are good quality, screen picture is fine for the discounted price I paid (£65). It's also quite quick and doesn't freeze all the time like other cheap ones. I could't figure out how alexa works on children's account, I am not sure if it works anyway (it's ok on my account but I couldn't save it for my kids so far but I didn't have time to figure out). Should be sold with more colour choices as I have 2 boys and the only colour I could choose was blue but we sorted out, my kids put their own stickers on their own tablets.

Great product for the kids especially, you can set age appropriate accounts very easily, you can have multiple on one device, it will feed you YouTube, games and books like Netflix works, stuff they choose to show you according to age and choices etc and what content they have available. You can’t search like a iPad does but children are offered plenty and the bonus that all the games available do not require money to unlock different levels or items, all the games are paid for and totally accessible immediately without and extra funds required at all, the case is excellent and extremely hardy, the screen response is perfect. All round it has to be a 10/10 for value for money and idea(downloads with WiFi then the device has plenty ready for kids when in a situation not connected). My 9 yo daughter has a iPad Air, I bought 2 of these fire7 for my 2 younger daughters, 2 and 5 to keep them busy on flight and poolside in Dubai this Christmas, they where fantastic and ended up with the eldest daughter wanting to swap her iPad with one of them once she realised that when they play a game “dress up” for example the younger 2 with the fire had access to all the game without the money asking restrictions.

I would advise all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, whoever has a child, children to purchase this little gem. Ordinarily, I would never have suggested buying a kindle, laptop, or pc for toddlers. However, I bought the 'fire7 Kids Edition' for my grandson of two. From the time we activated it for him, it has been glued to him. There are no adverts to interrupt what he is watching, (generally in the night garden and Peppa pig). Adults provide the age of child during the setup and it is only that age group of activities, films, books, apps, which are provided. There are many educational activities for your child to enjoy.Value for money: I choose to spread the cost over certain months without interest.A very good offer, however, the cost is not overly expensive.I would buy this product again in the future should the need ever arise. There is a guarantee should your child break the kindle within two years of purchase, then amazon will replace free of charge. (I think, do not quote me directly on that one. Check with Amazon). The apps are completely free for one year. Again a great offer.Arrived as stated. The driver was polite and courteous.

Got it for my 2yr old and wouldn’t look back. It’s great! We altered it so he sees age appropriate and educational books, games and videos. He has a speech delay but the educational apps are really improving his speech as he is now saying all his colours and counting numbers now. There was even a great Elmo potty training app that we personalised to read his name so it makes him part of the story as if the characters are speaking to him directly. The case is great - he’s smashed it off the floor a few times and it seems pretty indestructible so far... You have to buy a micro SD card separate as the storage fills up pretty fast. But we can download his favourite movies to play for him for car journeys when not connected to WiFi.The screen time remote control is great as we can limit him to an hour a day. I would highly recommend this product over an iPad as it comes up with all the age appropriate content suggestions and saves you having to google good apps/ games to download - it basically takes the hassle out of that part for a parent. It’s really easy to use (he can even navigate it better than us now) and it holds its charge well. 10/10!

This is perfect for young toddlers, as the included case can survive any amount of use and abuse. The tablet itself is good, with reasonable built-in parental controls to ensure only age-appropriate content is available. The tablet performance is good and battery life is fine... not superb, but so far only needs one charge a day.My only criticism is in the software itself. You can download videos for offline use (we use it in the car with a headrest mount) but each video plays and then stops, rather than moving onto the next video, which is a real pain when it’s in the back of the car given how short most kids programmes are. There is also a 25 programme limit which is a shame. The best solution we’ve found is to use the BBC iPlayer for Kids app (available from the native App Store) which also allows offline use by pre-downloading content and by default auto-plays the next episode, giving much longer use between interactions - ideal for longer journeys.

I agonised over wether to buy my ‘ only’ two year old Grandson his own tablet as popular opinion seems to be that screen time is not a good thing but my Grandson has used my IPad for a while now as a tool for learning. He knows his colours, shapes and numbers and is starting to recognise letter shapes too. Obviously I didn’t want to spend a great deal of money on a fragile tablet so the Kids Kindle Fire is amazing! It comes in a sturdy case and a guarantee that if it gets broken it will get replaced. I have to admit I find it more difficult to navigate than the iPad but then the kids fire is amazing and you can set limits to what your children can access, to make sure it’s age appropriate.Again I have to admit I have as yet no where near scratched the surface of what this little tablet is capable of but Harry is enjoying videos, games and books so far. I bought mine on a Black Friday deal but even at full price this is great value for money.

Great machine once you add fire for kids subscription. You have all the apps through Amazon which is way better as there is no interruptions to pay for stuff as you have a subscription. No pop ups requesting payment to proceed further or anything. Way better than play store and more private and secure for your child. It has a wide selection of apps available just like play store but better which includes educational apps and game apps which are well known and you never pay. You can fully control the time your child is allowed on the tablet from your own Amazon account without needing the tablet to do this. Honestly the safest way to introduce a tablet to a child.I had the tablet replaced under guarantee after my little one managed to smash the screen after a year.No questions asked and was sent a new tablet. Obviously returned the old one back. The new tablet is even better. Great deal from Amazon.

Great that you can limit hours on the device (and by content type) as well as being able to set it to go to sleep at specified times. I can also add content from my Amazon account remotely which is also very useful.Especially loved the ability to remove certain content, though I did have to scroll through a lot of content to reach the things I wanted to disable from my daughter. The case seems to be pretty robust, and the attached stand is useful. Was disappointing to find out I had to sign up to Amazon Fire Kids to get the full functionality described above - but the subscription isn't expensive so it wasn't a big issue.I didn't like the forefront and center location of the Disney/Barbie/Nickelodean Carousels but I was able to remove these apps manually.Has an age filter, but felt that a lot of the books still available for my toddler were inappropriate, so also removed a lot of these manually.

After 2 previous kindles I was very hesitant about purchasing a kids version but everyone was telling me they are the best for my 5 & 7 year old (older has special needs) but it has honestly blown me away both boys have progressed so well with their IT skills and we have set up alarms so that they are limited with their access, we have also set up learning targets that they have to achieve before they get full access to all the playing apps, they love it and learning is fun.It has good battery hold and the built in package of Kindle Kids is fantastic, lots to play and watch, we will invest in the package for subsequent years. Both boys love time on their kindle and the cases just ensure that they have that additional protect,so glad I gave Kindle a third chance, we have not been disappointed. From a previously cynical Kindle owner.

I never intended to be a tablet mum but it has become a life saver when eating out or if I just want to get some housework done. Bought for my almost 2 year old. The games are a bit too old for him at the moment but can download all of his favourite shows mostly Peppa Pig and all the cbeebies shows to keep him amused. There is no feature to lock the screen so he can't come off it which he gets frustrated about when he turns it off by accident but is learning not to touch the screen. Able to buy in installments of £20 per month which saved me saving up for it. There is probably better ones available but I am very happy with it and the case is amazing as has been tested quite alot already and no damage to the tablet.Once he's in bed I am able to use it as a normal tablet so definitely getting my money worth. Would recommend.

To be fair it is a great bundle overall but there is so much content available that it was even a little overwhelming for myself. There is no option to read info on an app, book or show before downloading (maybe because its for kids) meaning you have to wait for it download to sample it. If your child has addition needs (my 4 year old has ASD) so it took him a while to get used to the different layout and shorter YouTube videos. I had to sit down and look for applications that he would enjoy so he wasn't constantly clicking. The screen lags a little on fast motion games. The home page should be where all the downloaded apps are and specific icons for video's,games etc should hold the specific content.Oh and the case bounces perfectly when dropped...

Bought for my just over 3 year old for Christmas, for her to play games, read stories and watch her favourite shows. It has not disappointed! She uses it a couple of times a week, the children's interface is easy for her to comprehend and she navigates well, with little adult assistance. There are a fantastic selection of apps, which are categorised well. The added bonus of being able to download on to the device comes in handy for car journeys or locations without wifi. The best part is we can switch to the adult interface and watch catch up shows or browse the internet in the evenings! We didn't really think much of the item upon purchase, especially at the brilliant price ( Xmas 2019 @ £54.99)but now we would't want to be without it!

Absolutely perfect for my 4 Yr olds birthday.I was worried that it would be too complex for her to get to grips with but she found it amazingly easy to use.The age appropriate interface and apps mean its perfect for keeping her busy on long journeys and the case and stand it comes with is fantastic!!! Even better is the fact that if somehow she breaks it Amazon will return free of charge. The amazon prime kids is also fantastic especially because it has plenty of shows for her to watch given she changes her mind every 10 seconds like most fickle four year olds lol.I wish we had bought these for my elder two given the amount of times I've had to mend/replace theirs over the years.Thumbs up fromus and a massive reccomendation.

My two year olds first tablet and it's really gone through all the tough tests. Can it survive being stood on, thrown from 3 feet, thrown against a wall, dropped outside, covered in juice, covered in fluids/other, hit by tiny hands, hit by tiny fists, kicked, constant turning, flipping, volume being up full blast, 4 hours of baby shark and 6 hours of let it go....but most importantly its survived the parents driven mad by wheel on the bus! I was reluctant to get a device at such a young age but I've seen the benefits of education and fun so we sit together and enjoy tablet time...or as I call it the 'slablet' as it's made of tougher stuff!Would recommend to parents looking a starter in technology.

My 3 year old daughter got given this for Christmas & honestly it’s great!! I had reservations as we’ve only used iPads in the past, I downloaded some apps/games/programs for her to play with (needed no WiFi!) and she used it in the car the following day for 8 hours & it worked better than my sons iPad!! The only downside is the battery! It needs charging most days! And I don’t feel like she uses it enough to warrant this! But other than that it’s excellent!! The kids cover is also great and really robust!! You can also set up an adult account which she can use Netflix & YouTube which is great!! you can still set limits too to ensure they aren’t accessing unsuitable apps/videos!Well done amazon!!
