I have owned s Tab series since S3 and this one kicks it up a notch.Display: although has same specs as S4 this definitely looks clearer to me. Slimmer bezels don't look like much on paper but in practice way slimmer and much better viewing experience. The screen has HDR10 certification which proves I am right about it being clearer than s4. It is punchy, vibrant, crystal clear and a pleasure to watch content on.Sound: I rarely watch without headphones but on odd occasion when I have used the speaker it has been great.S-Pen: much improved in terms of comfort. The groove at the back is better for storing than S4 and the official keyboard case is the icing on the cake to secure t.I travel a lot for work so no more fears about losing this. Still getting familiar with added features. It is great for doing presentations and love the quick translate function.Speed: definitely quicker than S4 and handles multitasking better. Multiple apps running in background and no loss of pace.Dex: never really warmed to DeX but the experience on s6 has completely changed that. Amazing first multi-tasking and getting work done if using multiple Microsoft apps. You can take transparent notes whilst viewing/editing content and drag and drop files with great ease. When creating proposals I prefer this to laptop as easier to pull files.Keyboard Cover: I cannot recommend highly enough. The design is so slick. It takes a few minutes to get used to it coming in 2 parts then it's fine. Love the fact that the keyboard detached for when I'm watching content and don't need it. The S pen storage flap is excellent. This accessory married with the tablet means I no longer travel with my laptop. It's the perfect compliment to experience the full capability of the tablet. The trackpad addition is very welcome.Storage: 128gb entry level storage is a huge bonus and of course micro sd card can be bought to increase capacity. I have a 256gb card and this covers all my needs for storing a variety of file/media items.I have been asked by other people what tablet I'm using when in meetings as they admire its functionality and design. My wife was so impressed with its playability that I have ordered her one.If you have an s4 and are wondering whether to upgrade, take it from someone in your shoes YES. You wont lose s pen, your dex experience is so much better, better screen, more storage, faster processor, crazy functionality and better camera if you use for pictures (I don't but it's a nice to have)

I put my unlimited data EE sim into this and used it to provide my hotspot, the speed it manages is phenomenal!Using my perfectly satisfactory smartphone for the same task, I would be lucky to download at more than 40ish Mb/s, uploads around half of this, but this thing, although not bought for this use, provides an amazing 94Mb/s down and near parity with 87Mb/s up, making everything so much quicker and gone is buffering when using my Smart TV for the iPlayer.OK, so it does everything else just as impressively, once I'd figured out how to get apps from the app menu onto the home screens in Android 10, which the device downloaded and installed almost as soon as I'd switched it on. Fortunately,10 works well with this, and as for that apps onto a home screen issue: Open the apps menu from a sidebar that can be summoned from the right edge of the screen, then organise the ones you want to add to home screens into a folder, this can then be dragged and dropped. Once you have the folder on a home screen, just drag the app icons from there into free space and once the folder is empty, send the empty folder to the bin. It's easier and quicker to do than that was to write, if not as simple as it was under Android 8, 8.1 or 9 on other Samsung devices I've used.Image quality on the screen is clear, bright and has plenty of adjustments available for anyone who needs to modify the stock colour balance for any reason. I found a slightly warmer white for the background suited my eyes well and I'm not talking about any massive amount of adjusting being required, just a tiny tweak.I can recommend this tablet to anyone who wants quality, but doesn't like Apple's software. Android, as it is on the S6 tab, really does make this a viable alternative to a laptop for most users and the onboard sound? Loud, clear, treble that could cut glass and even some usable quantity of bass comes from the four tiny speakers. The overall effect makes this ideal for watching high def films in bed as the sound is thrilling on a good Dolby Atmos soundtrack, yet can be enjoyed at a level that won't wake up the whole household.. Unless you want it to!

Ok folks I've just bought my new Samsung Galaxy Tab s6 as an upgrade to my old slower Samsung Galaxy Note pro 12.2. Yes it's a smaller screen size, but the screen is bright and better, so for those of you wanting to watch movies or like me YouTube videos on it, well it's perfect, just make sure you buy a protective case for it as it's a thin tablet, which in itself is great, but it brings with it a problem of which position is most comfortable to hold it in. I find the edges of the tablet quite harsh and if you hold the tablet for long periods of time you're gonna find yourself changing hand position loads of times to avoid those red Mark's on your hands from the tablet pressing against your skin. The model I got was the 128gb mode, with 6GB of rom which makes it quick to respond. I've enabled the developers option to tweak the animations to make it even faster. So overall I'd give the tablet a 7 out of 10 and here's why,Cons.1. Hard edges of the tablet make it uncomfortable to hold for long periods.2. The s pen placement is annoying and it will fall off if you move the tablet too quickly.3. Wifi connections issues occasionally the tablet will lose wifi and can only be solved by rebooting the tablet.4. Coming from the Samsung Galaxy Note pro 12.2 I wished the tablet had a larger screen but hey.Pros.1. Display is excellent and in most conditions performs great.2.speed its quick and very responsive.3. The s pen is a great plus and you get a choice of soft nib or hard depending on your preference.4. Battery will last you for about 2 days depending on your usage of the tablet but will definitely get you through the day and it comes with a fast charger.5. DeX while its like marmite you either love it or hate it, if you like multitasking you'll be a fan.To sum up I reccomend the tablet to those looking for a great portable tablet, great for productivity and media consumption.

the following is an excerpt from a blog I wrote with for the review of this tablet.I wanted to get a tablet that could keep up with me- multitask without compromise. The tablet has been a dream come true with all the power-packed features it has. I used to own the iPad, and even though the UI was beautiful, I felt restricted with what I can do (transferring files, limited multitasking features)Screen - the brightness is phenomenal! I've put my settings on Dark Mode and brightness at the minimum that I can work with (15-20%) and the screen is still is the best.S-Pen - This is one of the main reasons I bought this tab because I love my note-taking. A lot of people may think that the Air gestures are gimmicky, but if you're far from your tab, like me for some reason, I just bring the pen with me and I'm able to skip to the next song, pause a video and so on. I feel like I have even better handwriting because of the various tweaks that you can do. Taking pictures has been so fun using this as well!Samsung Dex - is the best tablet interface I have ever used, I feel even better than MacOS and Windows 10. It makes working with various apps even better, and I am yet to encounter any 'lag'. I am looking forward to the possibilities that Samsung has cooked up for Dex!Battery life - I have used the tablet for 24hours on Samsung dex and it still has 42%. I ran YouTube, messenger, Chrome and Word at the same time with screen brightness at 20%.The only thing samsung can improve on is definitely its UI, as the widgets don't look so good no matter how I tweak it. I wish I could do more customization but maybe it'll come along in the long run.Overall, such a great table to work with!

PROS: hands down the best non-apple tab out there. Only beaten by the Surface or iPad Pro, but this should be expected given the price point! Definite value for money. Its lightening quick: I haven't experienced any lag despite running several apps concurrently. DEX feels good and this tab holds it's own when paired with a keyboard and mouse; I'd go so far as to say it can replace an entry level laptop, perhaps a good option for students? The pen feels good and comes with some good features, although unless you're going to use it often, maybe consider the S5e. Highly compatible with all your other android devices, so a definite if you're already rocking a Samsung or other android device. You can migrate all of your current settings like accounts, apps, files etc seamlessly. Light and easy to hold in both orientations, although you'll need a good case to grip it properly; I dont fancy its chances in a fall. Oh yeh, it looks *great* too, with deep colours, beautiful high res and a nice exterior finish.CONS: pen runs out of power a bit quicker than I'd like and to be honest, I'm not sure why I *needed* it. Doesn't feel as well made as the apple pen either. Screen size is the only other big con - there are no options for a bigger screen a la the ipad pro. This makes it difficult to really get the best out of DEX and the gleaming array of hardware because of screen real-estate. Some of the samsung apps can feel a little bloaty and I've never got on with Bixby, but that said, I'm still tarnished by the early days of Samsung pushing it on us and much prefer to find my own way.

I've had this tablet a while and I use it every day. On the whole I'm really pleased with it, but when I bought it, it was rather expensive even when compared to some of the fruit flavoured tablets. I'm using it as a tablet at home so not really interested in the keyboard or it's more work oriented features.Pros:Screen is fantastic indoors, very reflective and not overly bright outdoors.Speakers are excellent.More than powerful enough. The book cover (non keyboard) is really good.Cons:Pricey.Samsung UI is annoying in places. I'm used to having Google Now (or whatever it's called these days) as the left most screen on my phone. To get this working I had to use an alternative launcher (Nova)and Nova add-on. Happy now though. The S-Pen magnetic attachment and placement is rubbish - you can't lay the tablet flat with the S-Pen in place and it falls off quite readily.Camera's are good for tablet but not compared to a phone.Wi-fi has a habit of dropping out, I've seen reports that it's not good with a mesh wifi system, which I have.Battery usually lasts a day but is not stellar and I have occasionally had to do an extra charge. From a personal perspective I wanted the power/screen/audio of this tablet but don't really need the s-pen or the rear cameras (front one is handy for video calls) and with a slight price reduction that would be the ideal.I hope I don't sound too negative, I really like the S6 for my use case, but there is definitely room for improvement and a few expensive bits I don't really use.

I pre-ordered this tablet, and after an initial mix up with delivery and then having to delay it another couple of days, it arrived. It is an upgrade from a Samsung Tab S, traded in my old Tab 2 as it was just lying around for two years. I ama bit of a Samsung fan, having an S7 phone and an S3 phone which is used now just as an emergency phone in my car.First thoughts on the Tab7, I love the keyboard cover, its great to use instead of the screen keyboard, less fingerprints for a start. The pad is also good for the same reason. At the moment I am having a little trouble using the S Pen, it doesn`t seem to work like it did on first use.It tries to delete/archive emails for one instead of selecting them to read.I will be visiting my local samsung shop on Thursday to try and sort it out.The tablet is fairly intuative to use as an upgrade, still a lot to learn, it will give my 66 year old mind something to keep active. If like my wife you have an Ipad, it will be a big learning curve.I haven`t inserted a micro SD card yet, but will get one tomorrow and eventually the sim will be transferred from my Tab S, which at the moment is being used as a tether for this one.I would recommend this tablet as an upgrade for anyone. It is expensive, but I hope that it will be future proof for my use for the years to come.

Amazon prices up and down daily on these Samsung tablets so have to watch regularly for lowest prices using price comparison sites with trend graphs for lowest price. Managed to get this one with 256gb and mobile sim card slot for less than lower spec models on the day, Rose Blush seem to have better deals than grey. Excellent fast processor especially pen function which was a prime consideration as it is needed for communication by someone with speech problems and great they can write something freehand and twist the the screen over for others to view and it twists the text the correct way. It can convert to text as well. Pen magnetic holder is a bit hot and miss but hoping that will improve with the ordered cover as it has a covering flap to protect it.Quite why Samsung put it on the back - side or top would be better. Can be a little bit slippery for older hands so getting a magnetic foldable cover. The Samsung logo charging dock is a usel extra which saves slightly awkward USB C plug insertion and alows for upright rolling displays of data time and weather whilst charging (or random pics If preferred).Bit pricey in first place for the S models but you get what you pay for. Tablets are a vast improvement over smart phones for email, text, WhatsApp and online shopping so well please.

So I got my S6 yesterday, not from Amazon but a well known catalogue with a buy now pay later option! And I haven't stopped playing on it! Excellent in all areas! Fast, crisp and clear! Incredibly thin and more lightweight than my Tab S (which I love n still use regularly) the screen is bright and crisp and I have it set on a fairly small font and it is lovely to read on. Has all my apps, kindle app works well which is great for me as I'm an avid reader!Played with the pen and that is fun, great drawing app which let's me colour like a real colouring book, not just fill the areas like some apps I have used! Usual high quality you would expect from Samsung all wrapped up in a great tablet.Only negatives so far are the button on the pen can be touched accidentally when ur using so the menu pops up n that can be annoying, and I'm forever knocking the pen off the magnetic bit at the back, can't wait to but the folio cover as I think it will help with that! Hope it comes out soon!Over all im in love with this tablet! Lots more to discover and im so glad I pushed the boat out n bought! It! Hopefully it will last a while! Excellent buy even if it is very pricey! £150 for the keyboard is far too expensive too, not something I shall be getting any time soon!

I eventually decided to buy one of these bad boys for University, and so far no regrets. I had a look at ETA Prime on YouTube to check real life usage before buying.I got the base 128GB model, so far it's a pleasure and much more pleasant to look at compared to my old Surface Pro 2 that it replaced (pic attached)Pros:Great screen, speakers (LOUD, great speakers), and trim bezels make this a media monster.Fast at everything, handles all my emulated games and Office apps, Pydroid for codingDeX is great but it needs the keyboard and mouse to get full use out of it.S-Pen is always a lovely addition, great for doodles and semi-serious art.Air Actions are genuinely useful (depending on the app)Battery life is impressive.Cons:The Book Cover keyboard is not worth the price. It's useful but not £100+ useful, and feels cheap compared to a Surface Type Cover at the same price.S-Pen button needs the ability to act independently in apps. I'm sick of pressing it while drawing for the Shortcuts screen to come up.No Linux on DeX available yet on this device.Slight image burn down theCentre, not a deal-breaker for me but noticeable on dark grey backgroundsI believe my niggles can be fixed with software updates. Please see this post, Samsung.

I've now had the S6 for around a month, and the performance so far has been great. I haven't found a practical use for the pen yet, so not sure how useful that will be. The main issue at the moment is the fingerprint reading, and to a lesser extent, the face unlocking. When I first got the tablet I set up the fingerprint straight away and it worked perfectly well. I then did a software update, which turned out a be an update mainly for the fingerprint feature. Now it is broken. The update recommended you delete your prints and re-do them, which I tried to do but it was a huge chore. It must have taken around five or six attempts (and around 15 minutes) just to finally register my fingerprint. It would constantly get stuck at 58%, then just stop. Now it only recognises my print around 1 in five times or so, and I end up just using the passkey. The face unlock is also not quite right. Registering the face is easy and quick, but it often fails to unlock the device. A look through the Samsung community forums shows loads of people with same problem, and it seems no hurry by Samsung to fix it. This is a shame. It's a very good tablet, and it cost a lot of money. Expecting the basic security features to work properly should really be a given.

Intended as an upgrade, I purchased the Samsung Tab S6 8GB RAM/256GB expandable storage LTE and keyboard bundle option. To my surprise, as good as the Tab S6 is, I compared and ultimately preferred the screen on my old and very reliable Huawei Mediapad M5 Pro LTE, with its common 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. Both tablets have optional keyboards and desktop 'Windows-like' modes and sport great screens, coupled with astonishingly good quad speakers; treble, mids, bass, and high volume! The Tab S6 enhances its sound with impressive Dolby Atmos effects. Both have stylus pen support, although the S6's does more. The highly expensive Samsung was best for endless (gimmicky?) features, but the much cheaper Huawei, which still gets android updates (now 9/Pie) despite Trump's daft efforts to cripple sales, wasn't far behind. Like beauty good tech is in the eye of the beholder, but however I might look at it, the Tab S6 is not worth £400 more than the M5. No way! I'll reconsider when the Tab S7 hits in 2020, hopefully with a bigger screen or some other non-gimmicky attribute to justify the expected high asking price. For now, the good but unconvincing Tab S6 is going back to Amazon.

I've owned nearly every Samsung tablet wit the S pen. I had the original Note 10.1 then the 2014 Note, Tab S3, Tab S4 and now the S6. They have just gotten better with each model! The S6 is so light, screen is ultra clear and the fact that home and back buttons etc are now in screen means that you have even more screen to play with. I've only had the S6 for a week but I really love it. Yes the keyboard cover was an expensive addition (I received the Tab S4 version free via an offer with Samsung), but it's well worth it as it secures the S pen more than just relying on the magnets, which can be easily knocked off when putting into your bag etc. I haven't had a chance to discover all the features yet but the set up was so easy. All my friends use Apple products and are convinced they are superior, but the fast charger and apple pencil are both additional extras. You get these free with samsung and in my opinion, the S-pen blows socks off the apple pencil anyway. The only thing I need now is a POGO charging dock. I have the S4 one but this doesn't fit the S6. Samsung, when will this be available in the UK (hopefully at a good price for us loyal Samsung users!)?

Best Android tablet.Fantastic piece of kit, buy the best one you can afford.Comes with pen included. The others:1) Tried the Tab S5e also good (but this is faster and more versatile, much slicker to use has more ram memory.2) Also tried Huawei Media pad lite M5. Which looks good on paper, but only has 1080p screen has slow processor, washed out colours, and awful software. Yes it is cheap, but never used it much, underpowered processor struggles to play Netflix.Tab6;Needs more productivity software.Won't replace your pc just yet.But for all round performance it is superb, sound and screen and speed. This is a slick bit of kit.Screen quality is off the scale good.Sound is amazingly good too.Quad speakers AKG really rather good. With Netflix looking particularly good, no stutter.Clarity of screen is like high end amoled phone, not quite 4k but very sharp and deep rich blacks. vibrant colours.Keyboard cover needs a re-think as sticky cover is hopeless for taking on and off.The cover is heavy, would be nice to be able to take it off if hand holding device. (Such a shame as device is so slim and light)

I wanted a high spec tablet with a good resolution screen, fast processor, no bigger than 10" screen (I already have a 15.6" 3k laptop), light at 452 grams and the 8GB ram version with its 256GB SSD storage ticked all my boxes. I might at some later date buy a£30 keyboard and cover (no need to spend£160 on the Samsung version) but I have no need for the keyboard at present. I did buy a very good value neoprene case for travel use, it has a front compartment for accessories. The pen that comes included is incredibly useful although I have yet to learn how to use all its facilities, I don't draw but very handy for those who do but the pen keeps your greasy fingers off the screen.Lovely screen although I would have loved the higher resolution of my S20 but that would use more battery. A number of retailers had reduced the price so I was happy to buy from Amazon. This is not the device for serious photo editing using Photoshop, if you need to be able to edit photos then the Surface or Surface Pro are what you need but they are one and two levels up cost wise.
