The picture does not do it justice. I got black, it fits true to 7.5 but if you use "thick socks" go up a half size. Otherwise i have a normal foot, but need to wear them to stretch a tiny bit. A half size more is too big for me. if you have a high arch, edema water swelling, or wide foot, go up a full size. I wore the Salomon Trail Runner shoe all day, no hurt feet and it is great gripper sole, Gortex, thin laces, cushioned height heal that is like walking on air. So comfortable. The sole is aggressive so it is anti-slip too. Like a gripper sole. Definitely not clunky. With the added sole heal height it is nice for the legs and back comfort too. I need a shoe horn to slide into the runner but no big deal.

Product: I'm a fan of Salomon's equipment. These (epic) trail running shoes are: lightweight, great quality, water resistant and have proper grip. The tying mechanism is a nice touch too; keeps your shoes secured and it's time-efficient.I ran in -25 weather, through the woods post-snowfall, and didn't feel the cold nor did I falter to the terrain. I recommend warm socks too though :)Fit: Personally, it fits half a size too big compared to the norm. So if you're in-between size, scale down.Shipping : expeditious and well packaged.Photos: the running shot may be staged but the shoes are real!
