This is the second Quinzee that I've purchased, after my dog outgrew the first one I bought for him. My dog has a very short coat and is very lean; he is an athletic 45lbs Weimaraner-Lab mix who's not very fond of the NYC winters. Here are some pros and cons about the Quinzee:PROS1. It's protective and warm, and I could tell when I take the coat off after walks.2. It's waterproof, so even when it rains/snows, he's relatively dry3. It doesn't constrain his movement, so he can still run without a problem4. It is extremely easy to snap on and take off5. It doesn't fly away nor it requires adjustments during walks; the snaps secure the coat and there is a protective layer between the snaps and the dog so it won't chafe the dog,nor fur would get tied into it (and unlike velcro, you don't have to worry about the wind blowing the coat away).CONS:1. If the wind is coming from behind you, the back of the coat tends to flap over. This is not too bad, but it can get a bit annoying.Overall, it is a GREAT coat. I have actually bought two other coats from Ruffwear because I really like the ease on-off designs relative to other products, and in extremely cold days I've paired the Quinzee with a softshell jacket from Ruffwear that covers part of his legs for extra warmth. My dog was a happy pup and was comfortable enough to run and roll in the snow.

excellent coat and fit. I got the green medium for my female Boxer 53 lbs. at 18 mos. old and she can grow into it. it is a smideon big but it stays where it should on her and she loves it. it's a true winter coat and a must when we grab our coldest wear. we got her used to jackets as a pup so as soon as we slipped this on, you could tell she is happy. the straps attach in the middle and as everything in this jacket was so well thought out, the buckles are behind the material, so nothing to chaff. plenty of coverage long the back and if we're hanging round outside, that cold ir is not gonn settle on her. most important, I wanted a jacket that doesn't accumulate HAIRS, and this is it!this coat does not retain the hairs, so we keep it closeby for easy access. I out my hand in between her back and you can feel the heat. not for use in warmer weather, I'm afraid it's too hot jacket, but excellent for those 20 degree days.

I bought this jacket over others for two reasons: (1) I was looking for a jacket that could be put on and taken off quickly and easily; and (2) I preferred a jacket that didn't have a fleece liner that attracts fur that can't easily be removed. This coat seems to keep my little guy warm - he seems really comfortable with it on both in terms of warmth and mobility. Also, for male dogs, the adjustable belt clips are high enough on his chest that they don't get wet when he pees (an important point to note if you've had a similar issue with other jackets and sweaters). Finally, I have other Ruffwear products and have been happy with the quality. I would recommend this coat.

The sizing chart was off for my dog. My dog's chest was measuring 38 inches which would be an extra-large, but a medium ended up fitting my dog perfectly. Large and extra-large were too long and didn't fit tight enough to be comfortable on him. Took a couple tries to get the right size for my dog, but luckily Amazon has a great return policy. My dog is a 65 pound hound terrier mix with a large chest and the Medium jacket fits him great. The color is perfect to be able to see him running around in the snow, I ordered the meadow green. Took a star off for the measuring chart, other than that it is a great jacket!

This is my first Ruffwear purchase and I’m definitely satisfied with my decision. I was considering a cheaper alternative from Kurgo and while I can’t comment on their quality I’m very satisfied with the premium materials and fit of this jacket. The small fits my 4 month 25lbs Aussie well with room to grow. The packable pocket is handy but it would be nice if they added a caribeaner clip. I got it with a matching front runner harness and leash in poppy (I call it safety orange). The clip from the harness fits nicely through the hole in the jacket but it aslo works with the front clip for lead training.

My 45 pound mix, short hair, tiny paws, not built for temperature extremes LOVES his new coat. It is easy to put on and take off; he actually seems happy when we put it on. He can romp in the snow and through brush in the woods of Vermont without snagging. He can take care of private business with no interference from the jacket. Because his boss likes to sleep in a cold room, he prefers to have his coat on overnight in winter. While this was expensive, it is durable and washes up easily in the machine. Instructions for fit were accurate. One of the best doggie accessories I have ever purchased.

This jacket is perfect for my 15 pound chihuahua/lab mix. She usually hates to wear any type of clothing, but this jacket fits her perfectly, and is actually effective at keeping her warm, so she doesn't seem to mind wearing it. My husband and I went camping in the Wallowa Mountains, and it got below freezing at night. Our pup never tried to sleep with us under the warm covers, but instead seemed perfectly happy in her bed with this jacket on. She did have one blanket of her own to snuggle under, but every time I checked on her, she was outside of it. Definitely worth the money for this jacket!!

Not only does it look snazzy and rugged, but it has a good feel to it too. It was exactly what I was looking for, not too thick and not too thin. My 7 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix is in between Small and Medium sizes, so I bought one size up so she can grow into it. My pup likes to chew on things and so far she hasn't I guess she felt comfortable in it. The jacket comes with an interior pocket, though I'm not sure what to put in it. Has a hole for harnesses and 2 metal clasps hidden by the coat itself (thought that was neat).

Love the color green - it helps my Weimaraner aka grey ghost stand out esp when he’s off leash in the mountains. Large fit perfect - he’s 80 lbs & large chest but skinny neck. The zipper closes but like the option to unzip & the coat will stay on. Love that it’s not Velcro but clips under the belly! We will test it out for wear & tear in the snow next weekend. I have had great luck with all Ruffwear products so far (the booties are awesome & collars are great & hiking backpack is amazing).

Ruffwear is a name I depend on. I have a tall 63 lb. Labradoodle and Large is perfect. I especially like that this jacket can be put on and off so quickly. The quality is evident including the red raincoat I also purchased months ago. The only disappointment was the red jacket I purchased a few days ago which actually was orange. However, it was very easy to return and reorder the Huckleberry Blue which is perfect. More selections would be good too but I'm happy.

We recently took our dogs on a sub-par weather camping trip and used the Ruffwear coat for our smaller pup. I was afraid of the freezing nights pre-trip and wanted to make sure the dogs were covered at night. This coat absolutely met my expectations. The coat is perfectly comfortable and our dog was able to sleep comfortably and warm all night. I would highly recommend this coat. It helps that the coat folds up into a compact stuff sack for easy carrying.

Ruffwear has a reputation for making great dog gear. I've been looking at their products for a while, but this was the first time I went for it, and I don't regret it. This is a very durable, good-looking jacket. In the past we used a dog jacket that had velcro on the side and it didn't last a year. The two plastic clips on both sides work great and the zipper on the dog's chest makes the fit even better. We ordered a small for our 40lb hound mix.

Keeps my little girl really warm although as she is so long not quite to the end of her tail! She wears it with the Ruff Wear waterproof overcoat so it doesn't get wet. As there is no restrictions around the front legs, this works really well for small dogs with little legs. I hae to say it is very pricey and I don't think it shoudl cost that much but it is worth it to keep my girly warm as she was loosing weight fast from the cold.

Have used this a few times now, and I love that the buckles are hidden within the jacket (the buckle is covered by the jacket itself, so that way, there's no rubbing of my dog's arm/skin against the buckle. We had issues with that with a harness that buckled under his arms, and with a jacket that had velcro. Didn't realize it would have this feature when I bought it (for warmth/reflectivity) so this is a welcome surprise!

I ordered the Quinzee jacket for my 7 month old shepherd/lab/chow mix to play in the northern AZ snow. the jacket kept him warm and dry, which abled him to play for hours in the snow! I ordered a size M so that he would have room to grow into it. it was perfect and the adjustable straps will allow for him to continue to use as he grows. Currently, he is 29" long, 16" neck and 28" girth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
