We wanted a rain jacket that could be used over a fleece jacket and a harness.We wanted a jacket with NO velcro as it gets caught in our dogs hair.We wanted a jacket that fits well, is waterproof, windproof and gives some belly protection.We did a lot of research before settling on this Ruffwear jacket.It fits our 3kg Papillon perfectly, has not bits that might rub her skin and enables her to move about with no problems. There is a 'portal' for the lead so that she can wear her harness underneath.We purchased a Ruffwear fleece jacket to go under this when the weather requires it having decided against a fleece waterproof coat as we felt that having the option to wear a fleece coat or a waterproof coat separately or both together gave us more flexibility.

The small fits my slightly smaller than average Springer perfectly. We already have the Ruffwear Front Range harness and the cooling vest. This coat seems perfect for walks or running around the back garden in the rain! It has good coverage of her belly too which is hard to find. It is not a very warm coat, but not intended to be, it's for wet, not very cold days. (For running around fields she wears a fleece coat which stands up to the rough and tumble of diving through hedges etc!!) I will update if we have any issues with this coat.

2nd time lucky. The first one we got ripped around the neck area of the under-body piece whilst taking it off our lively playful dog on the first wearing! We contacted Amazon and they arranged replacement of the jacket. Apart from what seems like this weak point, the jacket is a nice product with good weather-proofness and breathability. This second jacket seems to have held up so far in normal play and running, two months in.

I bought this to guarantee it could be worn with the front range ruffwear harness and it is perfect. I have a staffy cross and she wears a size small which goes over the harness nicely. There are two elastic straps to go round the hind legs which stops the coat blowing up of her back. She doesn't like the rain and this makes these walks a little more bearable haha! It's also very lightweight.

Fab jacket I bought a large for my Standard poodle who measured 29 inches in girth. Ruffwear recommend going slightly larger for better coverage.It doesn’t move and inch while out and he hoons around practicing his handbrake turnsI use a Julius K9 harness which lines up perfectly with the harness portLovely and light for muggy soggy daysVery happy with it!!!

This coat fits my border collie like a glove, not too tight but stays on whatever she does. Designed to work with a ruff wear harness but also works just with collar & lead. The lining is nylon mesh so she doesn’t overheat and it’s easy to wash & dry.Expensive but, having had cheaper ones which do not stay in place, I’d say you get what you pay for.

Very happy with this coat. I live in Auckland New Zealand where the climate is very mild even in winter. I wanted something waterproof but not too hot, and this fits the bill perfectly. The coat is very well made and of excellent quality. Re the size our dog is a 23kg labradoodle, and the fit for him of a medium is just right.

Easy to put on. works well with the Ruffwear harness. Smart looking. Durable. Much better than the rubbish you find in most Nationwide Pet Shops. Don't be fooled by cheaper items, this is a good brand and much better investing in this than poorly designed rubbish.

Having tried several brands of waterproof coat I should really have known better and just gone to Ruffwear. The sizing is spot on, the quality is excellent. Yes, it may be a little more expensive than other coats, but worth every penny.

Surprisingly good rain coat which we bought for our Doberman; it’s so nice I’d wear it!Works well with the Ruffwear front harness and provides very good cover over the whole length of the body. Recommended.

I only every buy ruffwear products for my dog. Superb quality design and fit. It goes in the washing machine twice a week and comes out looking like new. It's quick and easy to put on and take off

I LOVE MY NEW JACKET BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN GO TO THE PARK IN THE RAIN WITH MUM AND DADBY COOPER DOG (AGE 1 and a bit)
