I have a 42 inch chest and ordered size Large, the Oxford jacket fits perfectly over my full armor leather biking jacket. The Oxford jacket length is good and is about 3 or 4 inch longer than my waist, covering my leather jacket perfectly. When wearing a longer heavy jacket the Oxford jacket does fall a bit short at the bottom so In this case the bigger size might provide more length but unable to comment on this without having the bigger size (Oxford feel free to send me a bigger size to review, hehe).Sleeve length is ok and if being picky would like another inch on the length but I would consider my arms to be slightly longer anyway and experience this issue with most jackets.Velcro is velcro and sticks together as it should, can only advise when separating the velcro to support the bit that is attached to the coller when pulling the velcro apart and should last much longer. This is a excellent waterproof jacket for under £30, looks more expensive and keeps you dry and more visible on the road.

I bought this in Autumn 2015 in readiness for the winter. It's now April 2016. We've not had much snow thankfully, but it has been rather wet & windy. My commute is 16 miles each way, and I've used my bike throughout the winter in all the gales & rain storms. I'm delighted to report that not once have I got wet. This jacket has performed perfectly, keeping out the rain & wind. Nice bright colour too, helps the myopic car drivers see me :)I only have 2 very minor gripes:As already said, the velcro material can fray, resulting in long strands blowing in the wind. Easy enough to remove though!I'd like velcro in the upper-arm area, as when clipping along, the spare material can obstruct what I see in my mirrors.Apart from that, this jacket is a winner, and a bargain too! If/when it fails, I'll replace it with another one for sure.

I bought this for my 1.5hr each way commutes on Motorway. Cannot afford Goretex gear.I've worn this several times now in heavy rain at 70mph speeds. Its a lot to ask of rain gear. Wetness has started to seep though in the last 20 mins of a ride. Mainly at the lower stomach where the water pools and collects. Not very much has come through, but enough for slight dampness.Despite this, for the money its excellent value, and for shorter journeys its wonderful. The material breathes well so no feeling sweaty while wearing it. For my commute i'll wear a second waterproof layer for torrential rain now.It folds up small so is great to keep in my topbox at all times. 100% recommend this.Good protection for its cost and will be adequate for most people.

It does exactly what it says on the tin... I normally used these waterproofs over the already waterproof motorcycle jacket and it is loose enough to fit comfortably. Also the sleeves are long enough and I have freakishly long arms. The lining is nice and adds extra protection from the cold. Buy your normal size as the sizing already takes in account other garments. If you normally wear XL buy XL confident that it will fit over your normal jacket. Maybe a bit bulkier to store away than I expected but nonetheless a very good product. A no nonsense excellent product. I would recommend it!

Used this jacket for the first time last weekend on a ride up to the Yorkshire Pudding Rally. Rode from North Wales up to York in driving rain and I was completely dry. jacket for the price. Typically I'd buy a medium and I don't think you'd need to upsize - although the medium was a bit of a 'snug' fit, but I didn't want lots of material flapping around. I had a few layers on as well, so I think Medium was fine. To be on the safe side, you may want to order a large and a medium, try them both on and send one back. Now looking to maybe buy the trousers.

Bought this for motorbike tour, had to use it over my leathers in torrential downpour on a French motorway, and I can confirm it kept me bone dry despite the awful weather! High collar kept the rain from going down the back of my neck too. The only downside is there isn't a roll up hood in the collar, which would have been useful when not on the bike!i would say don't buy bigger size than you are, they have already taken the fact you will be wearing this over other motorbike gear into account, so there is plenty of room! Brilliant jacket for the money!

I bought this jacket for my other half. It is great and is sized to fit over a normal bike jacket, therefore if you need a large for your normal bike jacket, you will need a large for this jacket too. It is really well made, has an inner pocket with zip, adjustable cuffs and the neck is nice and high so that it keeps you extra dry. The best bit is that it is easy to get on and off, unlike other jackets we have had in the past. I would thoroughly recommend this. The jacket arrived promptly, was well packaged and exactly as described. Very pleased!

After ordering a ridiculously large jacket I asked for sopme guidance. IT turns out you meaure your chest with out the jacket - maybe over a shirt. Then you choose as follows40- S, 42-M, 44-L, 46-XL, 48-2XL, 50-3XL, 52-4XL,54-5XL,56-6XLI was actually a puny 40 but I ordered the L just in case and I probably could have gone a size lower, but it is still comfortable with the full armoured jacket on. So the size chart is accurate and the jacket looks as if it will last for a few seasons. Order with confidence.

I would give this jacket 6 stars out of 5!! Very very impressed. Rode 100 miles in heavy Welsh rain and it kept it all out. Also good as a wind blocker - keeps all the draughts out. Good fit, good zips, collar and cuffs excellent. Size as expected - I ordered medium and I'm 5'10, 42 chest, 32 waist and wearing over RST 2 piece leathers. I've also worn it on cold and windy dry days and it keeps me warm. Colour very bright so very visible.Highly recommended.

This looks exceptionally good and I did what was suggested and just order the chest size (M for me), The jacket fits easily over my leathers and looks like very good value for money. I have not tried it out in the rain yet but I am fully confident that when I do I wont be disappointed. I have just ordered the matching Trousers to go with it. My only suggestion is order the correct size and not bigger sizes as there really is plenty of room in them.

Spot on - I bought XL to go over my 44" chest leather motorbike jacket and it fits a treat. I've been out in the rain and it kept my perfectly dry. It's also good at deflecting the wind so keeps you warm too. There's only one pocket and it's inside the zip flap around chest height. It will fit keys or maybe a normal size mobile. For under £30 it's a bargain as it stopped me spending loads on a separate winter jacket.

Size Medium-Because my job involves working outside I really needed some waterproof PPE that not only keeps me dry but allows me to work and this jacket is it. Not visibility blocking hoods and no pockets which don’t help in a down pour and not oversized where your jacket gets caught on things. You just wanna stay dry and flexible and this jacket did that. A great purchase and I will definitely buy again.

Great jacket at the price, but with one flaw - the sleeves could do with being an inch or 2 longer. If you plan on wearing the jacket with longer touring style gloves it's not too much of an issue. I wear Held touring gloves and the sleeves are just long enough to pull over the top of the gloves and stay in place when riding. Shorter gloves might leave you a bot exposed around the wrist.

Bought for protecting me from unexpected rain / windy days whilst on tour to Spain.Worked great in the UK (not unexpected rain) on the way to the ferry and did the job when caught out in the rain in Spain.Used as a wind protector whenever i got cold (return journey home in UK!)Thicker than other jackets and not ventilated so can get clammy. The quality of product is excellent.

Very pleased with this jacket. Quality is good and the zips are nice and easy to use, generous storm flap with plenty of Velcro to give a good seal. I've used this jacket several times in conjunction with the matching trousers in some pretty heavy downpours and stayed lovely and dry. I also have a one piece oversuit but find the two piece easier to put on and more versatile
