I was initially put off from buying this coat because of the other two UK reviews that criticised the sizing, deciding to instead buy a less expensive top from Ruffwear, which I did and since that fitted fine, I decided to get this, which also fits perfectly well. On Ruffwear's site for all of their doggy clothing they have a size chart, on the right hand side it says "view sizing chart", which has the chest, back and neck measurements for all the different sizes. At the bottom of every page for each item of clothing, you can see photos people have uploaded of their dogs wearing the items. I think they fit well, many different dogs of differing shapes and sizes, but they probably won't fit every dog in the entire world,

Quality of the coat is incredible, however I wouldn’t expect any less from Ruffwear....My one issue with this is the sizing. My dog wears a Ruffwear “S” harness so I measured him and went with small as he is 22” chest, but the small coat completely drowns him. Have had to order an XS and XXS to see which one is going to fit and will return the other along with the small.Quality of the coat: 5/5Sizing: 1/5Can’t wait to get the correct size though and have him wear it. Will save so much faffing of harness and coat with it being a 2-in-1!

This jacket/coat is very well made. The strap clips, around his belly, are in between fabric to prevent chafing of the dogs skin. The reflector strip along the length is very visible. And it is very easy to clip the leash to the sturdy loop on the top side of the jacket. It does slide to the side a bit, being a standard Poodle he is not big around or overweight, but we needed the length for the best coverage.

So far, after pretty rigorous testing, this coat is proving robust, waterproof, mudproof, Springador proof! Sturdy, well made, very pleased. Tried the built in harness too, double ring and it works well, my strong labx walked well on it, so far so good, quite expensive but worth it at mo. Monty does not have the thick double labrador coat so with more lead walking in very cold temps this coat is useful.

Good size for our Lab at 11months old. Very well made and the built in harness feature is perfect for those wee walks in the rain. The jacket keeps the dog dry and doesn't restrict her movements even when swimming. The jacket drys quickly and it is a bit pointless when your dog goes for a swim wearing it but that's life with a dog. Highly recommended

Love walking our 75 lb Lab in this as a harness in the winter because it keeps her clean and warm, and doesn't allow her to pull. Cleans up in Wash machine well, and has pockets for plastic doggy bags when she leaves a present on somebody's lawn. Really well designed and manufactured. Item was clean with no defects. Arrived right on time. Thanks.

I LOVED the construction and quality of this coat, but unfortunately have sent it back; In ordering a size to fit my boxer's broad chest, the neck was just WAY too large. The internal harness would have been great, and the pockets would have been so useful for treats and bags, but my dog's wonky shape just didn't fit the coat.

I was so hesitant to buy this item because my American Bulldog has a large neck and chest. I just received it today and Wow! It's so well made, and fits him like a glove! Very easy to get on, and easy to adjust. The little pockets are perfect....no more forgetting the poop bags!! Love it!!

These are expensive, but the quality seems better than the cheaper models.Good features: side pockets for extra poop bags, front and top lease connection options, reflective piping, overal design,Missing: a top handle for a quick grab if needed; neck / collar size adjustments.

Easy on, built-in harness. This RUFFWEAR jacket is great for those cooler damp, misty, or drizzly days. Cinnamon has very soft fur that gets soaked easily. She doesn't mind wearing it, which is a big plus. It provides good coverage to keep her warm and dry.

This fits my French Bulldog perfectly. It’s a jacket he actually doesn’t try to rub and take off his body. He’s short haired obviously so one of my fears was that he would be cold but this keeps him nice and warm in the snow and wind. We both love it!

Love this jacket! Wish we had bought it years ago. Keeps my dog dry and warm. Very easy to put on that even my 5year old can do it. Works well as a harness so no collar or additional harness is needed to go for a walk.

Great dog coat. Good for cool to cold weather. High quality. We have the lighter non- insulated one for warmer rainy days. Absolutely well thought out and designed. Very happy with purchase.

Does exactly what we needed it to do regarding fitting lead, keeping dog warm and visible at a distance. Not cheap but excellent quality.

I like how it clicks and there’s a hook to click my own leash onto it but is it that warm? I little loose toward the back.
