I live in Tucson AZ were it regularly gets over 100 degrees F in the summer. We don't go out in that type of heat, but it's usually still in the 90's when we walk at night. I have noticed a really difference in my dog's energy and comfort when using this. He doesn't pant as much or as hard, and he seems to want to walk longer when he has it on. (I don't let him walk to the point of exhaustion of course.) Be very careful with high heat conditions. This dries out in about 30 minutes in very high heat, but if that's as long as your walk is anyway, this will help out your dog a lot.

My husky is experiencing his first bout with warm weather and every day gets longer and hotter and he needed help. Mainly I got it for when we go camping and hiking to attach to his day pack. Even being an offbrand dog pack the ruffwear core cooler fit in all the right places.I’m a huge fan of ruffwear and this vest was no letdown. It stayed damp for a couple hours and although my husky hates being wet I have to take it off to re wet it. Over all great product.

I just purchased this Cooling Vest to go with the Ruffwear - Singletrak Low-Profile Hydration Pack. I got the Pack and Vest in Medium and the Pack fits my dog perfectly by itself but the vest is too short. It does not reach her belly and the last velcro strap does not line up with the last strap if the Pack. I would like to know what the difference in dimensions are between the Medium Vest and the Large Vest and see if I can exchange it for the Large

Awesome concept, been waiting for a product like this for some time. Unfortunately ruffwear is not what it used to be and their quality has dropped in recent years. This needed to be repaired since it ripped the first time I tried to put it on, I repaired it at home because I needed it and didn't see much point in getting it replaced. Remember that this does not offer as much lifting support as the brushgaurd.

Great at holding the straps of a ruffwear harness / backpack in the right place (am using it with a ruffwear singletrak backpack). Just tip water down the inside to help cool the mutt down. TBH a bit overkill if you're going to be walking places with streams (just get the dog wet), but if it's dry and hot and there's no shade then it's great

The harness this goes on is the very best escape proof harness I have ever found in years and years of recue operations and looking. Being a resident of Phoenix these evaporative cooling panels allow for a significant increase in time available for walks and are practically mandatory equipment. A+++ effort from Ruffwear.

It does a nice job adding extra load dispersion, chest protection and cooling. However, it's size isn't really adjustable so it will be a little squished in places to get it onto the harness. Overall, good job but could be a bit better.

I bought this to fit under the Ruffwear hiking pack I have for my husky. This does a great job of cooling him off on hikes! I add some water to it which absorbs into the material and then rests against his belly giving him some relief.

Stays cool on a husky x lab for approx 3 hours in 25+ temps. Easy to re-cool with a bit of bottled water or a run in a river/sea. Thoroughly recommend and already have done on Instagram!
