I bought this rum for a smidge under £50, and I think it’s impeccable. Now some people may argue, “I should bloody well think so for that price!” And you know what, I completely agree. If you are going to spend that sort of money on a rum, you should at the very least expect that it’s going to be far more superior, than all the generic rums currently being sold at the moment. Well this Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum certainly lives up to its price tag. This is a prime example of, ‘you get what you pay for!’ It smells like a cross between Rum and Brandy. And considering this rum spent its final years aged in a Cognac barrel, I may not be far from the mark with my nose skills. Neat,

I know What I like and I like what I know. A friend recently recommended the 20th anniversary plantation and I expected it to be like many others that was just a bit too gimmicky. However I have now ordered five bottles of the 20th anniversary plantation rum, and it has quickly made its way into my top three favorite rums. It’s a very smooth rum easily drunk neat or with a cube of ice, certainly never a mixer, a real sipping rum. Highly recommended I wasn’t disappointed and I don’t think you will be either.

I read quite a few reviews before purchasing and was eager to see if it lived up to the praise...I have to say I was not disappointed. Smooth, slightly oily texture, delicious flavour with the right sweetness. By no means cheap but worth every penny and I would not hesitate to buy again. I'm a big fan of Diplomatico Reserva and I'm over the moon that I've found a rum that's on a par with it. Great sipping rum which has earned a regular place in my cabinet.

Being an lover of fine Rum, Cognac and Whisky I was given my first bottle of Plantation 20th edition for my birthday. Highly enjoyable, smooth and full of flavor It has been on my Sprits shelf ever since. Most reviews on Amazon do this Rum justice but I do disagree that this Rum does not have good sent. You can smell the subtle hints of Vanilla, honey and oak notes. At around £20 more than your average spiced rum it is a bargain at this price.

My son bought me this for Father's Day. Couldn't wait to try it. I've been drinking rum all my life, well maybe not the first few years, following in my dad's footsteps, and without a doubt this is the best I have ever tasted. Smooth, silky, the flavour lingers on the palette. Try it over ice, but in a large glass so you can savour swirling it round and enjoy the aroma. It doesn't get better.

I've tried the rum before so I know it's amazing and came packaged well, but the five stars are for the seller. They've been very helpful and pleasant when I contacted them with a request and even wrote me a lovely message on the hard copy of my invoice. Just the kind of thing we all need under these circumstances. Lovely product and lovely seller.

Absolutely adore this rum, I work at revolucion de Cuba and so obviously have access to a lot of rums, this is by the far the nicest aged rum we have at a reasonable price, bought a bottle for myself and find it hard not to rinse through the bottle, makes for an amazing old fashioned if you ever (and you shouldnt) get bored of drinking it neat

This is a delightful sipping rum, according to my rum drinking other half. It is sublime , and up there with Ron Zacapa XO, but half the price. Do not get this as a mixer rum, it is purely for the act of sipping, contemplating and enjoying. Great with those cubes that you freeze but don't melt.

I recently got in to sipping rums after years of drinking Kraken and Morgan Spiced together with mixers. This was my third sipping rum after Atlantico (too dry) and Diplomatico (too sweet). This is the perfect balance for me. Wonderful aftertaste too.

This is my one my favourite go to rums when I want to treat myself.It’s very smooth and somewhat too easy to drink. It has a Spiced, creamy palate entry, with sweet vanilla notes and caramel. Oaky spices.The beautiful decanter it comes in is a bonus

An exceptional rum of fabulously refined flavours. If you like Diplomatico Rum Reserva and/or El Dorado 15 Year Old Old Special Reserve (both of which are very smooth and quite sweet) you will simply adore Plantation XO which IMHO takes the crown.

I was first bought this rum by a friend as a birthday present. Now when the bottle seems to be near empty, i magically find one primed to me the next day. Very smooth and tasty rum. Not to be ruined with coke. It's like liquid gold!

This rum is just really really Delicious.It has such a nice flavor particularly if you like slightly sweeter rums like Diplomatico which i also like, but the Plantation XO rum is in my opinion just that bit better.

I did enjoy the rum but I am no connoisseur, so to me some cheaper rums do taste on about a par. In particular black magic rum I found the taste to be similar (but definitely this being smoother).

Very velvety mouth feel. Gentle notes of sweetness on the palate. Quite enjoy this Plantation (as well as their Pineapple rum). This, as well as Foursquare 2007, are my go-to sipping rums.
