These were delivered super quickly to me in Iceland, ordered late Sunday evening, was shipped on Monday and delivered to me on Tuesday!These are far from perfect but they are pretty good.I wanted to make a lot of ice so I purchased 4 of these.I have not tried to store those on the side in the freezer but they do seem to be leak proof, I have put them upside down outside of the freezer and given them a little shake and everything seems fine :)My only problem with those is that when the water freezes it freezes with a layer over all of the cubes connecting them together so I can't easily get them out... I have tried putting less water in but that seems to make no difference.

As a disabled person, a simple task like filling an ice cube tray can be one of those jobs that becomes impossible. I’ve soaked my lap transporting a full tray, or poured water all over the freezer filling in situ with a jug, and totally shattered a hard plastic tray whilst exhausting myself smacking it on the worktop trying to release the ice.This is the perfect solution. It really does seal up, as long as you align it correctly (and even then it can easily be repositioned) and then you can just tip the excess water out and transfer to the freezer with no wet lap or floor. And, because it’s sealed, you can just chuck it in the drawer on top of all the uneven items and it will still make cubes.

Look, I drink between 2-3 liters of iced tea a day & I was getting through 4kg of party ice per week. I've tried so many ice cube trays over the years but the silicone ones spilled whenever I moved them & the ones with the plastic lids shattered after little use. I had given up on ever finding an ice cube tray that could keep up with my lack of grace & the sheer volume of ice I consume.I bought one of these on a whim after trying (AGAIN) to find an ice cube tray that could mitigate spillage and that wouldn't crack because I am a little too rough when getting the ice cubes out of the tray. I was irritated at the cost (£11? FOR AN ICE CUBE TRAY? Obscene.) but realized I'd probably spent that amount buying trays that sucked.

Tray holds 14 good sized oblong ice cubes, which can also fit through the neck of a 1L flask, great for keeping drinks ice cold for days out.The tray is semi rigid and does not flex or bend when carrying it to the freezer, but will release the frozen cubes easily by twisting it.The silicone lid seals the water in by laying completely flat over the tray, but you have got to gently smooth over the lid to get the seal.You then tip the whole tray to drain excess water from the drainage channels which catch the excess water that spills over while you fill it.If the lid is on correctly, there should be no leakage from the ice cube holes.Best to freeze this reasonably flat to ensure no leakage,

Got this tray as I was tired of getting a 1kg bag of ice whenever I wanted to make some cocktails, and any previous attempts of making cubes myself failed miserably with half the water all over the freezer. I had some success with ice cube bags but I hate how my fingers get really cold when I get them out - hence, decided to try that.Overall I'm happy - the no spill design actually does work (to my surprise). The tray is bigger than I expected but since it only lives in the freezer for a night or so (and then I transfer the cubes to a bag which is much more flexible) it's not a huge problem.What would have made this tray perfect (and not just very good) would be if getting ice out of it was easier - e.g.

As others have mentioned this is quite large in area, but reasonably slim, it would easily fit in the freezer pack tray in our freezer if the drawers were short of space. It does not make many pieces of ice, however they are a good size and I found one in a pint glass was sufficient with pre-chilled water, room temp water would probably need two.It is really easy to use, fill the cells allowing the overflow to run into the channel around the outside, close the lid and tip to drain the overflow channel, then put it in the freezer on top of whatever is already there. The base appears to be a low friction plastic, this was quite noticeable in the way the water beaded on it during filling,

It holds a lot of smallish cubes in a compact package, the cubes are easy to remove individually which makes it ideal if you want to use a few at a time though it may take a few minutes to empty the pair of trays entirely. Filling the lower tray is a bit trickier as you have to fill the cells then make sure the water is level with the cell walls which are about 4mm lower than the outer lip. It did take quite a long time to freeze, still liquid after 2 1/2 hours, some cells frozen over and some still liquid after five hours, left until the next morning and completely frozen. The silicone and surrounding box probably provide some insulation and the design means you are effectively trying to

I bought both the large and small cube trays, both have their uses. Large for drinks where you don’t want too much meltage to dilute your drink, small cubes where you want a fast chill or to blend in smoothies (large cubes are hard to blend) or fit through the neck of an insulated sports bottle. The trays have no odour or flavour and as long as you don’t fill to the brim the cubes are easy to remove, if you do fill to the brim they can become very hard to get out. I really like the hard lid which allows you to stack the trays in the freezer which is the primary reason I bought them. Several reviews complain about how small the small cubes are, They are 23mm x 23mm,

See my review for the other OXO Good Grips No Spill Ice Cube Tray. This OXO Good Grips Ice Cube Tray would have been rated as excellent if not pipped to the post by the OXO Good Grips No Spill one. This is an improved model of the old OXO Good Grips ice cube tray which functioned in a similar way with the slide on lid, but is slightly wider than the old model with the lighter lid colour. This model has been improved since there is a gap between the water fill area and the lid so that unlike the old model, the ice cubes don't sometimes stick to the lid. This is a good model if you are looking for a tray a little narrower than the OXO No Spill ice cube tray, but it must be kept level (as with most ice cube trays).

If you've ever struggled to get ice cubes out of the tray, or spilt water over the floor and freezer trying to get your water to the ice box then this is for you. OXO have cracked it (sorry!) with this brilliant design.Just fill the tray up to the brim, flatten down the silicone lid and drain any excess water. Confidently walk to the freezer as no water will spill, even if your tilt the tray at a rakish angle. Nonchalantly plonk the tray in the freezer. Once the cold has done it's magic, it's a doddle to remove the cubes. As the bottom of each "cube" is actually round, a gentle flex of the tray and then a small prod on one side of the cube and it effortlessly slides out. No more struggling,

I've lost count how much I've spent on ice cube trays over the years; they usually end up cracking and are a pain to use. I ordered two of these trays and have been really impressed with them. What a well thought out design; the tray just uses simple physics to seal the water in using surface tension - simple and very effective. The last trays I ordered used clips and a plastic top, but the clips have snapped off because of the cold. The bottom of each ice cube compartment is a 'D' shape, this makes it very easy to get the cubes out. All you need to do is to twist the tray slightly (or let it warm up a bit), then press one end of the cube, they will then just pop-up and you can tip them out.

Plus: Ingenious no spill design. You can even put them sideways in the freezer to conserve space. Ice cube removal is very easy. Ideal size and shape of ice cubes. They don't pick up smells from freezer.Minus: Occasionally, some ice cubes come out broken. Also, before draining the excess water from the tray, you must press very firmly while sliding your hand across the lid so as not to allow any water to drain from the ice cube sockets. If it were not for these two minor concerns, I would give them 5 stars.In any case, great job OXO!UPDATE NOVEMBER 2017: Over four years later, they are still in great condition. I use them daily. Some of the things I love about this tray,1. Very long lasting. We had one for quite a few years with regular use and no problems with it. It went when my eldest daughter moved out with it. So we bought another!2. The flexible lid does keep funny tastes from the freezer infiltrating your cubes3. The flexi lid also does stop the water sloshing out when you're tryjng to get the thing in the freezer. Don't get me wrong, it's not watertight but it does help.4. Ice cubes easy to get out. The bottom of the moulding for each cube is curved which means that you can push an individual cube down on the side and up pops the other side.So quite expensive for an ice cube tray but worth it if you like ice

In my humble opinion this is a superbly designed item. With the sole proviso that you resist the temptation to overfill it, in which case the expansion of the ice cubes on freezing can obstruct the lid. The lid restricts evaporation, so that less ice is deposited on the surfaces of your freezer compartment. The initially strange shape of the cubes mean that after freezing a quick tweak of the wrists on either end of the tray immediately releases all the cubes - how often have you struggled to get cubes out of an ice cube tray? The L-shape of both ends of the lid means that you can uncover precisely the number of cubes you need - just turn over the tray and they fall into your hand/glass/dish or whatever.

The best ice tray ever, but you do need to read the instructions. Whoever designed these is a genius. They work perfectly, stack perfectly, and don't spill. I have tried every other form of ice tray and I know. No shattering, no running under hot water, no cracking.1. Fill tray to brim.2. Smooth silicone cover over top.3. Holding silicone cover in place, drain excess water from rim.4. Freeze.To remove cubes, twist tray gently to loosen, then push on ends of individual cubes to pop out.Also, the instructions make it clear that it can be stored at up to a 45 degree angle, and that is true if you have properly smoothed down the cover.
