I really like the idea behind this product. We are not big drinkers and may not get through a bottle or red within a few days of opening. Being able to re-seal the wine is a good option and stops us feeling obliged to drink.Make sure to buy the wine corks with this pump. A word of warning though - don't try and re-seal sparkling drinks like champagne as you'll be pumping out the fizz.

This Vacuum Pump is vastly superior to the original Vacuum Pump. This is larger (thus requiring far fewer pumps to achieve a vacuum), more robust, easier to handle and since it produces a higher vacuum the container (be it wine bottle, coffee container, etc.) does not lose its vacuum as that produced by the original pump did. Very highly recommended.

A Great Pump bought hopefully to use with my 10 year old Vacuvin coffee vacuum jar.No problem what-so-ever!It is just far superior to the old one which broke internally.About 4-5 pumps and the vacuum is amazing.

Seems to be much more sturdily built and requires fewer pumps than the earlier versions that would shed handle wings like there was no tomorrow. (Exaggeration)

Works with old & new style cork things. 3 times as fast as old vacuvin - 4 pumps and you are done. Does not look like it will ever break. Cant ask for more
