This holdall is of a hybrid design. It ias wheels and frame which allows it to be dragged across smooth airport floors. When it going gets rough, you can retract the handle and pull out the shoulder harness and hip belt to wear it like a backpack. Use of packing cube is recommended otherwise all the items will sink to the bottom towards the wheels end of the holdall. There are small pockets, say for holding small items of toiletries. The mainzip pullers have holes where you could use a small padlock. The Sojourn 60 and 80 provide the most stable hyprid luggage packing of the half a dozen models that I use but wish Osprey make a 100+ litre so that I don't have to keep the other models.

Now that I have come back from my trip to Peru and the Galápagos, I can honestly say what a brilliant bag. Be sure to get a cover for travelling on the plane as it can get damaged, as another of my traveller found. The airline broke the clips to the straps, which left the straps dangling.When on smoother ground I used the wheelie part of the bag and the backpacking straps for the cobbled areas.Having the wheelie Option made it bit heavier than the ordinary 65ltr bag that my daughter had, the bag I had was the 60ltr, but it was worth the extra weight. That said if I had big hips the shaped part that rests on you hips would not be comfortable, I have 34in hips,

Best case for travelling.Wheels are large enough to cope with uneven surfaces and the chassis means it stays upright.
