This is a very well designed and built cleaner which has high quality durable components. It has been a while since I used a cleaner with a bag as opposed to bagless and I was pleasantly surprised. The suction is very good. So much so that it can be hard to move it across the carpet on full power. There is also less of a smell than when using bagless cleaners - we have two dogs and I currently live in an old house where the previous occupants had six dogs - and the smell from a bagless can be quite overpowering after a few minutes. The filtration seems to be a lot better at removing said canine odours. Cleaning performance is good but the lack of a rotating brush does mean that dog hairs take a few passes to remove. It comes with a good selection of attachments - a small brush,a crevice nozzle and a mini head for furniture or car seats. All of these bits store securely at the base of the pipe. The pipe itself is thick and durable - unlike our latest bagless - and long enough to almost do a full flight of stairs. There is a pressure relief valve on the handle to release sucked up rugs without having to switch off the power. The cable retracts with the press of a foot and there is a place to store the handle with the cleaner upright so it does not take up too much space. The rotating casters mean that the base unit follows easily around the house so overall there is a lot less stress on your wrists than when using an upright.Overall this is a very good cleaner. Quality and performance are good and the components are durable. It is quite expensive and will require replacement bags, but the balance is that in my opinion the filtration is better than with a bagless.

It's impossible to speak highly enough of Miele vacuum cleaners, in my experience. We'd previously used a very well-known brand of bagless vacuum; on recommendation we replaced it with a Miele and never looked back. Our previous Miele has just gone to vacuum-cleaner heaven (courtesy of an escaped pet rabbit, and our discovery that a rabbit loose in the house will chew every cable in the place), so we've replaced it with this C1 Junior Powerline. The obvious plus point of this vacuum over any other make we have tried is that it is VERY powerful - so much so that you have to use it on of the lower power settings if vacuuming on thick carpet, otherwise it's hard to actually move the head across the carpet as the suction is so great. It really is amazing how powerful this vacuum is - whilst somehow being quieter than other vacuums. The hose is a good length, it's easy to change the bag and, as I've said, it's just so powerful. We'd been getting by with an old upright cleaner by a well-known British inventor for the last few days; we'd just vacuumed with this before our new Miele came; the difference is extraordinary -- the Miele just a million times better (or should that be 'a Mielieion times better'?!?).This really is an excellent vacuum. Don't get hung up on the cost and hassle of buying bags and filters, by the way; it's not a hassle at all, and it's well worth it to have such a superb vacuum cleaner. There's a reason why Miele routinely top the Which magazine ratings for best vacuums. Excellent stuff, and definitely five stars.

It's been a long while since I've used a bagged cleaner usually use a bagless upright so was interested to see how much better at picking up bits this one might be. Also first time ever had a Miele. Well the suction, bit too much for me on deeper pile carpet, suffer with lower back issues and this getting so stuck to carpet unless on lowest setting possible did my back no favors. Also with it being a cylinder type more bending down for controls et . It actually reminds me a little of a older AEG we had which seemed to have too much suction. Something you think that would not be an issue or niggle but if you have any loose fitting carpet it will get pulled up.It feels well made and a good pipe not flimsy plastic and a good assortment of tools.Say that but most cleaners even budget priced ones come with pretty much the same. Now the bags another cost over time and these are not the most cheapest and soon fill. The first Miele I've tried but does it warrant the high retail price? For me I don't think so and has confirmed what I originally thought an upright is much easier for me to use over majority of floors in house but stairs this is super at. So yes a cleaner that does stairs and even car but too much hard work for my back.Think the thing is you have to try them out in a store first to see the weight and the suction on them as not cheap. Will update again when other family members have tried it out, well one good excuse to get them vacuuming the floors for me.

Lovely colour and shape for a vacuum cleaner. Did I mention the colour? The glossy blue looks modern and attractive. It's a miele which is tantamount of the best vacuum cleaner quality you can buy. However between the ranges there are small differences that can make big differences. If this were the first Miele that I'd used, I would most definitely give it 5 stars, however Miele clearly know how to differentiate their ranges and having first used the C3, I'm comparing the C1 Classic to this constantly.Little touches are missing from the C3, like the upright stand clip for the hose, attachments stored within the body and buttons to change the suction mode. These are not must haves, but easily missed once experienced.Actual performance is quite similar. Suction is good, the drop in wattage from 1200 wasn't noticed, given that I often use the C3 on a low setting. The C1 performs much like it's bigger brother with the same low noise levels. Hose is almost the same. It's a shame the C3 doesn't come in this colour as that's my favourite feature. But if that isn't an option (the price of the C3 used to be around the price of the C1), then you'll certainly be happy with this.

I had a vax pet hair pull along vacuum and after 2 years the motor pretty much gave out.I decided to invest in Miele as all the family has them and raves about them.I needed a smaller model as I live in a flat and storage is limited so wouldnt be able to acommodate an upright one. This is perfect. Fits in a closet and folds up really well. The suction is amazing. The dust it pulled up from the carpet alone was astounding after a good few months of using the vax knowing it wasn't working to standard. It's really lightweight and compact to manoeuvre so good for those who may not be able to pull along a full size vacuum.Bags appear to be last ages too which is good.Only criticism is the attachments aren't stored inside the vacuum like the bigger models. They are stored round the vacuum pipe attachment, whilst clever, they often spin round and knock against the vacuum pipe, which is annoying but doesn't affect the function.Reach is good and the cable is longest I've had a vacuum, so good for a flat or bungalow, you can travel further without unplugging and moving to plug in somewhere else. Would recommend.

Very good product! Easy to handle and does its job very well. It gets all the cat hair off my carpets and rugs. Before I moved to the UK, I had a Siemens Synchropower but I couldnt bring it here and was rather sad when I found out that it was not available on Amazon and would cost almost twice as much on other websites as it would cost in Germany. Since I certainly wanted a vacuum cleaner of German quality and the Miele had good ratings, I decided for it. And what can I say? I love it even more than the Siemens! It is a lot lighter in weight and very quiet in comparison. It really gets everything off the floor and is at the same time very handy and compact in size. I also like its blue color a lot, theres a nice retro touch to it. Overall, I am very happy with it and would certainly buy it again!

Having a beautiful furry, shedding labrador, we have blown up 2 cleaners over last 5-6 years one of which was quite expensive and dog hair specific. This is a brand I have not used before but heard great things about but didn't want to spend a fortune and have another blow up. As this is lower priced but still with good brand features, and comes with bags which sounded naff but is great for dog hair and I am hoping as fur goes straight into bags, the cleaner might last a bit longer. Great suction and lightweight to move around and tubing swivvles easily around but is inflexible so watch out for catching ornaments or items on coffee table. All rpund very happy with buy and would cetainly recommend.

This hoover is mains powered, takes bags and has a really powerful suction. That means you don’t have to empty it much but it does take a bit of effort to push around on the higher setting. The lower setting is better for carpets, and the higher setting for our wooden floors. It comes with the usual tools for doing upholstery and can be used on the stairs. The hoover lies flat so is easy to pull around and will never topple over because of its low centre of gravity. The fitting has a very long reach, which is a feature I always like as it makes it easy to get in difficult corners. All in all, it’s a good hoover at a reasonable price which is good for houses of any size.

Powerful suction, we use it on the lowest or second lowest setting or it is difficult to push across the carpet. The vacuum is new, so expect the suction will deteriorate with age, though it’s nice to know there’s plenty in reserve. The build quality is good with stainless steel hose and a nice feel to the way it clicks together. Only very minor niggle is the setting dial turns smoothly around the whole dial rather than feeling ‘notches’ at each setting.Other slight negatives are that the suction hose is not telescopic so can’t adjust the length, though one section of the tube can be removed. The length is fine though, I’m 6ft+ and it’s plenty long enough.

Having opted for many bagless pet friendly vacumns for years, and not being impressed, I decided to try this little beauty as it was on sale. Well. I won't be going back that's for sure!!Two dogs and a cat make for a lot of extra hair fall and this vacumn does the job perfectly. One of my dogs, love to attack (the vacumn) while I vacumn - he gets huge satisfaction and a great work out with this one. Plus, all the nasty bits are in a convenient bag that doesn't redistribute when you chuck it in the bin ( unlike the bagless ones - redistribution in another room or on self)Don't let size fool you!! It is brilliant. It could suck up a small rug if you let it.

Bought this as my first hoover as I was moving from home. Bought it of a recommendation from my auntie who has had one for a very long time. Was going to go the route of a small cordless one. After buying the hoover and a few bags to go with it back in February its worked without a single issue. (not that I was expecting any) But the power is still very much there and the bags aren't really a hassle I have only gone through a few since owning it. good for the tiles and the carpet. No issues with suction and grabs everything from the floor. Easy to move around my small flat and easy to back away with the auto reel in power cable.

Just tried my new Miele vacuum cleaner for the first time and it's amazing! It might be the Junior model and not as expensive as some of it's counterparts but it does a fantastic job. On full suction it literally lifts the carpet up so you do need to be careful! I tried out all the different attachments and again, very powerful suction. Even on the lowest setting it's as good as my old Vax cylinder. Only time will tell how it performs in the future but i'm glad I splashed out more for this vacuum cleaner. It's a quality product, very manoeuvrable, lightweight and powerful.

22.9.2018

We have had ours for a couple of months and are really happy with it. It's a powerful vacuum so it does take a bit more effort to move it across carpet than some I've used in the past, but that's what we wanted. We have quite thin old carpets and it does tend to lift them slightly as we vacuum, but on the lower settings I doubt this would happen. It's very good at getting hair off the carpets which was the main requirement for us. It was easy to put together and very easy to operate.

Absolutely solid. Looks a bit sort of normal but blows the other vacuums away. My Cockatiel, the dirtiest bird in the world, just ignores it when I clean his cage out, it's so quiet. If I increase the power a bit, it just does the job. It has a soft start motor and on the low power settings the noise of the air in the various attachments is louder than the motor. no wonder Miele has a good reputation.

I ordered this hoover for my elderly mother she's always had a Henry but found it too heavy and the lead never stretched all the way down the stairs. This hoover is absolutely fabulous lightweight Powerful with a long lead she doesn't need to unplug to hoover up stairs would highly recommend. I have the Miele cat and dog have had it for over 10 years still as Powerful best hoovers ever
