2016 appears to be the year of the balm cosmetics wise and I'm sorry but loreal's infallible 'sexy balm' is not my favourite 'balm-colour' but this one is probably a good lipstick anyway especially for a peachy pink nude colour that's moisturising and easy to wear during the day.The formulation is less viscous/slippery than other balms I've tried this year, it reminds me of a slightly melted crayon rather than a balm, it seems the formulation is HEAVY on the wax which is balanced with some silicones so there isn't definitive dragging on the lips, but it's not the gliding swipe of some competitors. It doesn't feel like you are wearing any lip colour and there is no slippy feeling on the lips but there is a slight waxy moisture felt there when you press your lips together. The moisture lasts several hours even after the colour has faded.Colour wise As if is a fleshy pink toned nude ever so the hint towards coral. It's really easy to wear and is the kind of colour that would look pretty good on most skintones as it is so sheer. However, AWFUL name, 'sexy balm', its quite frankly cringeworthy at any age to say you are wearing 'sexy balm' and seems to miss the post modernist perspective that makeup is less likely to be worn to attract a mate but most likely instead for self confidence/esteem and impressing/fit in with our fellow makeup wearers, if we attract a mate in the process it's a side effect rather than the primary goal.Patronising name L'oreal, not so great 'balm' but nice 'day' moisturising lip colour.

WHAT IS IT=========It's called a sexy balm. Simply it's a balm with a hint of colour, Perfect for when you want to be understated but still look pretty with a touch of colour.LOTS====There are lots in the range. I particularly like the No 104 but all of them are beautiful.COLOUR========Suitable for 'day to day' use.STICK=====A little wand of colour. Although it's a standard construction of balm/lipstick it looks rather nice looking.APPLICATION===========Apply to lips and it lasts for quite a while.PROS=====Applies well and is smooth and easy.good brandgreat valuegood range of coloursCONS=====noneGORGEOUS==========I cannot tell you enough how gorgeous all the colours are.As a balm it's as effective as carex or nivea for me. Since using this I've had no dry cracked lips.TESTING=======I went out for a meal with my friends which turned into an all nighter. I only had to apply it twice all night, my lips were well moisturised and the colour stayed on throughout the whole evening.OVERALL========The idea behind these is a combination of balm and colour. For me I think they've achieved that goal.

LIP PAINT========The L'Oreal Lip Paints are a funny type of lipstick with a tube and an applicator. It provides an even and distinctive lipstick and in this case it's also matt. Which is unusual for a lipstick.MOISTURE=========It has a moisturising feel to it and it smells quite nice. Slightly fruity.COLOUR========Very fashionable, young and distinctive. I'd say it's 'strange but cool'.GLOSS=======No. It has a matt look. Sometimes with a gloss you need to apply, then reapply, then reapply to maintain the glossiness. This matt doesn't need the level of reapplication. It is thick and creamy in textureEASY=====In its favour it's easy to quickly reapply. It doesn't feather, and applies evenly, with the wand gives a little more control and better detail.MIX===It is possible to mix the colours.GOOD=====Overall it's a reasonably good product, but the feeling on my lips is a little too thick for a lipstick. But when I went skiing, it was the perfect consistency. And it moisturised too.APPLY======I've never seen a long tip applicator in the squeeze tube, although it's unusual but good.

This is my first time using L'Oreal Lip Paint and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a liquid lipstick that gives a smooth matte finish - although it has a wand applicator like you get with lip gloss, it doesn't feel like lip gloss at all and really does give a completely matte finish. I got the shade "Dead Lips" and it's lovely nude / neutral shade so it's perfect for achieving a minimal chic, bare look during the day.I do think the lip paint lasts a while but certainly not the 8 hours claimed in the product description and you'll have to reapply throughout the day. I don't use this with lip liner and found re-application to be just as quick as applying a gloss. The paint didn't dry out my lips but if your lips are dry/flaky to begin with, it really shows through the matte colour so a good conditioning lip balm over night is essential. My biggest gripe with this product is that it tastes and smells like cheap lipstick and it's noticeable the whole entire time you wear it. It's a budget lip product though and I really love the matte nude shade so I suppose I can just about tolerate this.

LIP PAINT========The L'Oreal Lip Paints are a cross between a lip stick and a lip gloss. It provides the opaqueness that a lipstick gives you but the glossiness that you get from a lip gloss.MOISTURE=========It has a moisturising feel to it and it smells quite nice. Slightly fruity.COLOUR========Very fashionable, young and distinctive. I'd say it's 'cool'.GLOSS=======The colour is lovely but you have to frequently apply the lip paint as the glossiness doesn't last. (to be fair I often find that with lip glosses)It is thick and creamy in textureEASY=====In its favour it's easy to quickly reapply. It doesn't feather, and applies evenly, with the wand giving control and better detail.MIX===It is possible to mix the colours.GOOD=====Overall it's a reasonably good product, but the feeling on my lips is a little too thick for a lipstick. This is firmly at the affordable and young end of the market, but don’t overlook this range if you are a bit older, because the colour subtlety in this range may work well for you. This is a standard twist-up stick in a simple case. Actually the case is not that special, but I guess that explains the lower price point. The balm itself is fine – nothing lacking there. It certainly moisturizes, and it lasts several hours after one application. It doesn’t last all day though, so you’ll need to have it with you when you’re out. It does deliver on the advertised 12-hours of moisture; it’s just that when the balm gets thin on the lips the colour goes away. That said, being a balm,it does a two-in-one function for you, so it’s practical in a tiny bag or a pocket. The colour maybe be subtle and pastel but it’s not weak. It covers well. For the money this is a pretty good buy, though for a very special occasion you might feel better stepping-up to something further up the range.

This L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Paint resembles a lip gloss … a lip gloss that is denser and brighter in colour than the norm and one that dry to a semi matt finish whilst still retaining its moisturising abilities.I received the 'Wuthering Purple' to review and I was pleased to find that it was actually not intense purple in colour as the picture shows but more of a purply red which looks really nice when a couple of coats are applied. I found that it was not dense enough in colour with only one coat and I liked the fact that you could gradually build the colour to a density to suit. This lip paint, goes on smoothly using the attached sponge applicator,it is very moisturising and the colour last well … at least a couple of hours. It is pleasantly fragranced with a slight fruity taste. A reasonably priced lip paint with dual usage … wear a single coat for day and double or triple coat for night time.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lip paint is a nice matte staining which because of the strong pigment does last, though it resembles a lip stain rather than the normal lipstick I would usually use. There is no gloss, which means no moisturising conditioners.I would wear something like this as a base as it would lessen a number of times through the day I would have to apply more lipstick. I do love the colour of this lip paint as it is a lovely deep red very rich colour and one which will certainly get you noticed. I found it easy to apply using the applicator and with the added bonus there was no bleeding of the product outside the lip area.A nice product which will keep come colour on your lips with a slight staining I would recommend if your lips are dry to exfoliate using a dry soft cloth, apply a rich lip conditioner then apply this as the conditioner such as

I'm reviewing L'Oreal Paris Infallible Nudist Matte Lip Paint, Number 211, Babe-In. Here are my thoughts:^^ The Nudist Matte Lip Paints collection is a new range of nude liquid lip colours that have a lovely velvety, matte finish.^^ There are 5 shades containing ultra-saturated pigments that last up to 8 hours. And I love this, it really does last a long time, maybe not a full 8 hours, but certainly longer lasting then many of my other normal lipsticks.^^ I can vouch it doesn't flake, cake or dry out - always a bonus!Overall: I like the teardrop shaped applicator this has, which makes applying this lip paint really easy. I also love the matt finish and how nice it looks on.I will definitely be buying more of these. This has rapidly become one of my favourite lippys!

This review was put together with the considerable help of my good lady wife, and these are largely her thoughts. This is a Matt lip paint which looks quite glossy when first applied but dries down to be fairly Matt. It comes in a squeezable tube and has a wand applicator. Be careful not to get too much paint on the wand or the product can get a bit clumpy. Generally though it glides on easily. The colour is lovely for a blonde- not an orangey red but a slightly pinky tone which goes well with light skin. I really liked it. It is reasonably priced and nicely packaged. It claimed to have amazing staying power but I can't say I found that it did. It was okay until eating or drinking but then needed reapplication. But all in all a good product, especially for the price.

Wuthering Purple is a liquid lipstick (the actual packaging looks more dark red/purple than the bright purple in the product picture). You receive an 8ml bottle, which unscrews to reveal the applicator. Like many liquid lipsticks, it takes a couple of applications to really show the colour and this looks much better on than I expected. This is a lovely wine colour; rather than a bright, or garish, purple. It feels lovely and creamy and even has a pleasant, grape flavour. This is a lovely, rich lipstick and the colour lasts well. I found that this only had to be re-applied once during the day and looked, and felt, pleasant. It did stain a little after I removed my makeup, but not for long. Overall,I was impressed and I really liked the colour.

As I'm getting older, I'm moving away from the super shiny glosses and into matte and semi matte lip colours.I still like striking colours, and Wuthering Purple fits that bill. The first coat leaves a very wearable colour suitable for day, but a second really vamps it up, with intense pigmentation.Applied from a squeezy tube with a super soft wand, it's easy to apply and dries quickly. It feels nice on the lips and not at all drying. I found it lasted very well.Reading other reviews, I think this is a product which either reacts well with your skin and performs well, or it really doesn't. At this price though, it's worth the experiment.I will be splashing out on at least a couple more colours!

This lipstick applies like a gloss - it is liquid and has an applicator brush - but it is matte, as promised. I really didn't like the name of the colour - 'Dead Lips' is not something that will appeal to buyers and I cannot imagine why they chose it. However, looking beyond the name, this is a nice, gentle, pale colour - which is ideal to wear at work, or in the daytime. The product description claims this lasts for up to eight hours, and I found that this needed to be re-applied during the day. I often do find this with liquid lipsticks, and this was no different. Still, I liked the shade, if not the name. A good lipstick for when you feel you need lipstick, but don't want it to be too obvious.

I received the colour 'Off White' but it is more of a flesh colour really. Not pink like the photo, more of a darker peach. The lipstick itself is very creamy and smooth and goes on very well with the applicator. Very matte, as promised, so is a great look if you love matte lipstick or can act as a smooth base coat on your lips for use under glitter, gloss or whatever you please and, being a neutral flesh colour, will go with anything. It has a pleasant, subtle scent that (unlike many Loreal products) is not nasty or overwhelming. If you are used to glossy lipstick it does feel a bit weird as the matte surface feels quite dry. It's also quite water-resistant too, so lasts quite well.Good product.
