L'Oréal Colour Riche Couture Lip Liner in "BOIS DE ROSE" Shade No 302I don't normally use a Lip Liner but am finding that now I need a better definition to my lips (age taking its toll I guess), and also often enhances the lipstick.1st Impressions:• It arrived in a press-seal transparent poly bag.• The Lip Liner has a transparent hard plastic cap, that fits nice and snugly to protect the point of the pencil. There is a peel-back label that provides the Ingredients List (but you will need a magnifying glass to read it!)• Printed on the pencil is the cosmetic range, colour name and shade number, which I think is handy. It is at the end of the product, just above the gold band,so that you have the reminder should you wish to purchase the same colour again.• The outside of the Pencil has an indented patterned finish making it comfortable to hold. The gold bands at the top and the end are so smart. In use:• Colour – It is a mid-rose pink with a hint of brown to it. I find it to be a good, middle of the road colour. It is a shade that can be used as a base to perk up a lipstick that is maybe a little too pale, or perhaps tone down one that is a bit too bright. I think it would suit a lot of different complexions and age groups.• This shade is perfect to use with L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in "VIOLET SATURN" No 214. This Lip Liner is just made to go with it!• It is a very comfortable and easy to use lip pencil and not sharp in any way. It is lovely.• I used it as just a lip liner with other lipstick, but I also used it for the whole of my lips, filling in with it. The coverage was excellent.• This lip liner did not get on my teeth (natural or otherwise!!) as some lipsticks do. Neither was there any on the mug after having drunk some tea not long after application.• My lips felt comfortable and I had no adverse reaction.• As I am not one to keep touching up lip colour during the day, I was pleased that the colour wore off very gradually, and that there was still some stain colour remaining after a few hours, even though it was feint. To sum up:-• At an RRP of £3.99 it is great value and a product that I can really recommend.• The pencil length is 4½ inches from top to tail, and it should last a while. It only needs re-sharpening with an ordinary manual Lip Pencil sharpener. I would NOT recommend using a desk type sharpener, as it would be too 'vicious', and wear it down too much.• It is a really good beauty product and I am very impressed with it.HANDY BEAUTY TIP - if you use the lip liner AFTER you have applied your lipstick, you will be able to correct blurry edges and the lip liner keeps the lipstick from straying.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Couture Lip Liner - Bois de Rose ( No. 302) - RRP £3.99This is a good, solid lip liner pencil that goes on smoothly and provides a defined line around the lips to stop lipstick colour from feathering or bleeding. Alternatively, the pencil can be used to shade in the lips to provide a base for lip colour or lipgloss. The colour is a mid-browny rose colour that provides a good outline for lips and is just darker than my natural lips. The consistency is just right: not so hard it won't go on and not so soft it smudges. To use as a lip liner, I start with the centre of my upper lip and draw a line up and outwards using short feathered strokes to build up the line, then repeat on the bottom lip, then smudge the line with my fingertip or a cotton bud. To provide a base for lip colour or lipgloss, first outline the lips then fill in with lip pencil working from the outside in, then apply lipstick or lipgloss as normal. The pencil is easy to sharpen with a standard lip liner pencil (or regular slim pencil sharpener) when the tip wears down. It comes with a clear plastic cap that protects the tip in transit. With any lipliner, it's crucial the colour is abolutely right and the value price of this one means if it's not quite right you can just buy another in a different colour.

A nice and very soft lip liner pencil that is perfect for preventing lipstick from bleeding. The pencil comes packaged in a clear bag and then inside the normal external Amazon packaging. The lip pencil I have is the Bois De Rose 302 shade which is a brown shade and seems to fit in very well with most brown or dark pink shaded lipsticks that I currently have depending on the hardness when applying the pencil to my lip line. The pencil has a clear cap and comes already sharpened but can be sharpened with a normal lip liner sharpener for future use. At the time of writing this review the lip pencil was very reasonably priced although should last quite some time and can be used up to 24 months after opening per the advice on the pencil.Bois apparently means wood in French which matches it's brown shade and this is a lovely lip liner.

L'Oréal======They are the largest cosmetics company in the world. They have loads of brands from Garnier, L'Oréal and have huge research facilities in respect of cosmetics. Just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're the best. Equally, just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're evil. I've tested loads of L'Oréal stuff ranging from WOW this should be on the NHS to Oh my golly gosh-this is dreadful.OK? This is a good, reliable lip liner. It is quite hard so gives a very precise line, but it's not so hard that it's painful to apply or drags at the skin. It allows you to create whatever lip shape you want, it prevents feathering and it has decent staying power. It's easy to remove with a face wipe or make-up remover at the end of the day.The colour is a sort of dusky pink, with a hint of mauve. I don't think it will suit many of my lipsticks but if you tend to wear those sorts of tones then this is a lip liner that's worth trying. Personally I prefer slightly softer liners that give a more natural looking outline, but for a defined look I'd recommend this.

I have poor pigment around my lips so I have been looking for an affordable product to help me define them more. I gave this one a shot after reading how similar it was to Charlotte Tilbury's 'Pillow Talk' shade, for only a fraction of the price. It looks amazing and stays on really well. It doesn't quite match the natural shade of my lips but that doesn't matter as it has a very spreadable formula so it's easy to blend it into your natural colour, or just cover your lips. It looks great by itself or as a base for lipstick/gloss. Since the pencil is so soft it will need frequent sharpening, but that's not an issue really.

I'm really not a lip lady and I done use liner but Amazon's offer of getting free samples sized salt sprays etc has prompted me to top up on my make up. I'm SO glad I did. I googled lipliner 's and this is meant to be one of the most natural and flattering shades that can go with just about any nude or light lip product. Which when I do occasionally have a lip on that's what I wear. It's true! This liner is beautifuly natural you could actually just use it to fix a slightly uneven lip or increase your natural lip line. ive only tested it as I haven't been out since I bought it but I can't wait to give it a full run x

We tried the 302, Bois de Rose colour lip liner and it matched with a light red lipstick, showing only faintly around the edges of the lipstick to tidy it up. It's a brownish red colour but not too deep that it shows above the actual lipstick itself. My wife has been using this for a few days now and applying it was easy thanks to the soft tip, which is actually slightly less sharp than it looks in the picture, though still providing a very thin edge for precise lines. You can, of course, re-sharpen if you need it to be thinner. The lid is useful to protect the nib when not in use.

These days I have to say I prefer gel lip liners as it's easier to get a nice even line and to apply more precisely, but I was happy to go old-school and try this pencil liner out. It's a nice pinkish red colour and defines a nice line around the lips when applied with a steady hand. Using this reminded me that if you can apply neatly, pencil provides better definition than gel and is better at giving lips a plumper, more generous outline. I really like this and will be going old school more often from now on.

This is a standard rose lip liner. It's a pinky brown colour, which would suit most fair complexions. It goes on nicely and lasts quite well. It's not particularly dark. No scent that I can detect. This is a standard pencil there's no sharpener on the end. It just comes with a plastic lid. There is no hygiene seal, either, which is the only reason why it lost a star. You are pretty safe with this colour so long as you don't like that hard-outlined lip look. (Auntie Barbar)

This is a good quality lipliner with the perfect consistency - not too hard that it drags on your skin and not too soft that it smudges. It has good staying power. I used it to complement L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte Lipstick 640 Erotique.NB I placed an order for another one of this shade because it’s still my go to lip liner. However, my order was cancelled by the seller Faith, despite them still listing it on Amazon . Just thought this worth mentioning.

This lip pencil draws a good precise line just the right thickness to line the lips subtly. It doesn't last any longer than other lip pencils unfortunately, so will have to be reapplied a few times during the day.I used number 302 'Bois de Rose', which is a gorgeous rose/beige colour, close to natural but with a little bit of oomph. It would go with many neutral, coral, or pink lipstick colours.

This is a lip liner, but what I love about it is the more natural colour. It is a slightly deeper shade to normal lip colour, which means it just enhances what is there, and goes very well with most lip shades, to define the lips. It glides on easily, and, being a pencil, it can be sharpened and lasts for ages. This one has gone into my essentials bag.Highly recommended

7.1.2016

This is a nice soft lip liner that doesn't drag when you apply it but is sufficiently firm to enable a precise line. It is a browny-pink colour so works with dark nude, bronzy and pink coloured lipsticks. It will probably work with lighter shades of red too although I haven't tried this. All told then this is a versatile lip pencil.

31.12.2015

An excellent lip liner with a just-right texture, hard enough for precision, soft enough to give smooth coverage. I prefer to fill in my whole lip with this as a primer/base for gloss to avoid that hard lined look and get a more natural finish. The colour is a versatile browning-red, a practical addition to my make-up bag.
