German Shepherd dogs share my house, and they shed hair for a pastime. Lots of it.Daily vacuuming is definitely not something I do, or ever intend to do – I’m far too lazy/busy/slovenly at home, so this robustly made carpet sweeper efficiently takes care of the worst of the day-to-day dog hair they shed, and mess they (and I) create. While this sweeper is around twice the price if the average sweeper, it’s well designed, robust and sturdy enough to keep the carpets looking relatively cared for, for minimal effort on my part.Mr Henry does make an appearance every now and again – even a decent sweeper will never replace a thorough vacuuming,

After much research on line I purchased this sweeper. I remember that as a child we had the exact same make and model about 50 years ago. The name of the manufacturer gave confidence. I had a carpet sweeper as I had recent had an abdominal operation which meant I could not use an ordinary domestic vacuum because it was too heavy to push. This carpet sweeper makes my carpets look much better than the electric vacuum. The only downside is the emptying of the dust pan which I tend to do after each use as the sweeper sometimes spits the dust out even though the dust pan container is not very full. The carpet sweeper meant I was able to contribute in some way towards the house cleaning.

Thrilled with this purchase. The sweeper is very neat - small enough to get into awkward spaces but robust and surprising effective on all floors.The outer horizontal brushes really do collect debris along edges. Emptying of dust is quick and easy. It folds flat and hangs on the back of the cupboard door when not in use (and it HAS been in use every day since it's arrival).I was about to complain that the advertised 'metal comb' was not sent (having searched the box in vain), but then espied it cliipped handily to the underside of the sweeper - doh!Would recommend this sweeper especially to anyone living in a small space, or to those too busy to get the vacuum cleaner out every day,

I should not have asked the question in the title of this review, as the answer is as plain as the big nose in my face, it is far superior to any other carpet sweeper that was ever made, hence its being at least double the price of any other carpet sweeper and the equivalent price of some "Hoovers".Without meaning to be anti British, "you cannot beat German engineering!"It's so good, we have a brand new one in the loft for future use, in case we cannot locate one at a later date, as this machine can be quite hard to get hold of!Do not go for the cheaper model, as it is not a patch on this model.

This is by far the best sweeper I have ever had. It picks up EVERYTHING. The only downside I had, was that there were no instructions on how to clean out the brushes. There is a little metal comb, which is fitted underneath, which I only found a while ago. It does the job, you just hack at the brushes, and all the hair comes away. The other downside is that the metal poles have come loose, so I have had to use tape, to make them stay together. The option to buy replacement poles would be awesome. Apart from that, one of the best purchases I have made in the last 5 years. I could not recommend this product more, the time it saves for having to pull out a bulky hoover,

I bought this a couple of months ago and love love love it! It’s so easy to just grab and clean up any mess without worrying about waking my kids with the sound of the hoover. In fact I’ve hardly used my hoover since purchasing this. My kids also love to help clean by fighting over who gets to use it first which is An added bonus. It picks up so much more than I expected. I find it better than the hoover as the brissles really get into the pile of the carpet and I have been very surprised by the amount of dust it picks up, not to mention that it’s So easy to use. Worth every penny!

The Rotaro S is sturdy, but not too heavy, and very well built. To pick up crumbs and other 'bits' that have fallen on the carpet - I won't be using the vacuum cleaner again. This is so light and very easy to use. One clean sweep and everything is picked up. There are two brushes on the front corners, which save me crashing into to things, and there is also a setting for the depth of the carpet pile - run over the carpet with this sweeper and the pile lifts up quite nicely.I would recommend this sweeper, much better than the one I had many many years ago

This is a very handy little machine for those crumbs and bits of fluff it does not replace the vacuum cleaner but saves you having to get it out for those little jobs. I remember the old carpet cleaners and this is better when used gently and not too vigorously it doesn't leave a trail of bits that you have already picked up. It is good on both carpet and hard floor just need to turn the dial you soon know where it needs to be for each of your carpets. It's very handy and my husband even gets it out for a quick fly round

I've used the Leifheit floor sweeper before, they are brilliant and as i said I can't live without it - I've got small children and rather than taking the electric hoover out every time something gets dropped or crushed into the floor or carpet I just have my floor sweeper in the corner of the front room and roll it over the area and the area is back as good as new in seconds! Its easy to carry upstairs too to give the rooms a quick once over to keep them clean. I'd definitely highly recommend it.

Ive been using this for a few days now & I have one little concern, the way the handle is put together (3 parts & screwed together) is fab for storage reasons but isnt the best for userablilty, it tends to come a bit loose if using on large pile.On rugs & hard floors however, this is amazing. I have pets & this saves me from the endless numbers of vacuums a day. Its very effective indeed & so easy to use, even my 7 year old cleans her room carpet herself! For that alone it gets 10/10 from me.

Wow! What a fantastic carpet sweeper! So impressed with it. It came nice and compact in the box. Once opened all you have to do it attach the pole by twisting it on to the base. It was so easy. Such a simple product but boy does it do a lot! There’s a choice on carpet thickness once you’ve set that it’s push and go! It really is that easy. It picks up so many bits and great at picking up dog hairs! Saves me having to get the hoover out 4 times a day and saves on electricity! Brilliant product!

Happily surprised at how effective this carpet sweeper is! I haven’t ever used a carpet sweeper before and wasn’t expecting much- but this worked really well!! Easy to set up and use, it looked like I had hoovered the carpet it was so good!It’s especially good on my large cow hide rug which I often have trouble hoovering, the sweeper cleaned it up and made it look very clean! I’m very happy with this product and as it’s so light it easy to transport around the house to do various rooms!

The sweeper is quite self explanatory, hence why it doesn't come with instructions. The pictures on the box explains its features and how it works. I like the fact that it had a screw on handle, says a lot about its durability. It's got a bristle adjustment which means you can decrease the height of the sweepers suited to your needs such as carpet, laminated flooring or tiles. I find it very useful cleaning up crumbs as I have a rug under my dinning table, saves me taking out my big hoover.

Came very neatly packaged in the Box and was very straight Forward to Set up. Just screw the 3 metal poles together; then screw them onto the sweeper and was all ready to use! This was Very good at picking up the Crumbs off the wooden Floor, and even better getting Bits out of the Rug! Glided easily over the Carpet too picking up Bits of Hair and fluff with ease. Very light to push, & love the handy tool to clean the brushes!Very easy to empty and put back together too! Solid 9/10!

This floor sweeper saves me carrying the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs in my large, three-storey house. It is easy and quick to use and effectively picks up crumbs and dog hairs. Light and manoeuvrable, is designed to get close to skirting boards and furniture, and the brush height is easily adjustable, making it suitable for use on both carpet and hard flooring, though I am currently using it mainly on carpet. It stores easily in a small space, always on hand for regular use.
