My 7 year old really enjoyed building this (with help) and the finished bike is pretty robust so can be played with like normal toy car (pull back and let go), played with by 4 year old and still in one piece. Built more like mechano than normal lego with push fit pieces - there are a lot of small parts. There are no moving parts - other than friction engine and wheels - so not much on the technic side but good for the younger ages.

My nephew was very pleased with this. Chunky wheels, robust assembly and pull-back-and-go motor included. It also comes with this great facility that if you pair it with another (specific) Technic kit you can create a whole new monster vehicle - nice touch!

Lego is always a winner in our house. I got for my husband for Christmas. Our 7 year old daughter built it for him and really enjoyed playing with it. Pull back and let go is quite fast and caused lots of laughs as it kept getting stuck under the sofa.

I had bought this for a future present for my grandson. Unfortunately someone gave it to him as a belated birthday present. It is excellent and he loves it. What am i going to do with mine??

brought for my engineer son who was convalescing and didn't want a jigsaw puzzle. It has kept him occupied for a week. Bit pricey but as it did what it was supposed to do, it was worth it.

Grandson was happy to help build and enjoyed the completed model. His views were " Good - but not as exciting as the other Lego Technic models we'd built together."

Bought as Christmas present. Looks great and arrived on expected delivery date. I'm sure the 8 year old in question will love it!

Good value but bought as a Xmas gift so no idea how good it is but doubtless it's up to Lego's usual standard.

My grandson was really pleased with this for his birthday and at age 7 and easily put it all together himself.

My 8 year old loved building this and it stayed built to be played with. Excellent step up from ordinary Lego

my 9 year old son loved this item. took him about 2 hours to build it and now play with it everyday.

Got this for 4 year old grandson. It does say 7 years so his dad built it with him but he loves it.

This seems to be a more unusual set of Technic and it really works well - my grandson loves it.
