God knows what the series will be like. Lego's quality on the other hand is persistent, and really only ever gets better. The Ghost is a really interesting ship, it's almost diamond like in shape. There's no shortage of features, and it comfortably seats all the included minifigures. However, Sabine - the Mandolorian is nowhere to be found. I can only assume this means there will be future Star Wars Rebels sets, it seems quite odd that they'd exclude her in the initial releases, though. As for the minifigures, they're all great. The stormtrooper finally has leg printing, but it uses a new helmet mold. Not entirely sure how I feel about this, on the one hand it looks great. Better than previous iterations. On the other, OT stormtroopers now like cartoonish in comparison. Hera is great, everybody wants more Twi'leks. Kanan's hairpiece is unique, not sure if it's been used in different lego themes. Finally, there's Zeb the purple alien. The plastic used for the head feels a lot more tougher than any alien heads of old, though it's still slightly rubbery. I urge caution when handling the Ghost though, Lego seem to be using spring based projectiles now. They're not bullets by any means, but due to the rather awkward shape of the Ghost, it's very easy to accidentally trigger them. They ought to have included some safety goggles with this set! It's also worth nothing that the Ghost and Phantom are one and the same. Both sets connect. Rather cleverly, the images Lego released never showed the rear of the ship in great detail. That's because there's a gaping hole in the fuselage in which to sit the Phantom. It's well detailed, and honestly it's what you would expect with a docking mechanism as such. Not sure why they're shy about showing it...[Edit]And there's also quite a few stickers that need to be placed on cylindrical pieces. They're by far the most painful, and the other stickers aren't too much of an issue. But I thought I should mention it, I'm always slightly annoyed when TLG include sticker sheets instead of printing directly onto the pieces, it's just cheap. They tend to fade and peel over a few years, and that's not even including the wear from casually touching them. Having said that, the stickers used on the upper exterior are printed on fairly durable and transparent strips of plastic, so there's that.

As a former arm chair general I have always been fascinated by the Rebels defeat at the battle for Hoth. The Imperial forces mainstay assault on the ground was the AT-AT Walkers, which seemed effective, although there were losses due to Luke Skywalkers’ ingenious counter attack. The AT-AT (please correct me if I am wrong) is the second edition produced by Lego. So my nephew and I went ahead and purchased this newer version. Much to our surprise, this unit is a huge improvement over the older version. The build quality is really solid, although the main command module at the front seems to be disproportionate, in size to the rest of the body. The Lines, of this significant battle unit, are nice and tight; the head unit is solid and won't come apart. The overall design is exceptional showing lots of detail. My nephew and I love the spring loaded laser guns; the projectiles can travel at least six metres. The inside of the body is bland; there is not real detail in there, but plenty of room to store a couple of imperial storm trooper mini-figures.We added the AT-AT to our Hoth battle scene “simulation”, and it was soon apparent that one AT-AT Walker was insufficient for an “accurate” demonstration on the field of battle. My Nephew informed me that either we would have to wait for Christmas, his birthday, or I could purchase the additional unit. My answer was short and to the point, I said that I only gave strategic advice – and my valuable time to help build the Hoth Lego simulation, financial assistance is not within my remit.Overall a good unit worthy of a good four stars.

As a former armchair general I was always perturbed by the Rebels defeat on Hoth, so using my nephew's upcoming birthday as an excuse I decided to buy this latest Snowspeeder LEGO set for him.My initial inspection of this set is favourable in that it has lots of detail. This is a re-release of older versions of this military vehicle and, both my nephew and I believe is the best one yet. The Snowspeeder fits 2 minifigures. I must say, the set makes it kind of a challenge to fit the minifigure in tight spaced cabin. The build itself is straightforward. The ensnaring cable in the back is a bit too short. The cable only goes for a foot, probably wrapping around a walker once - a design flaw? The Snowtrooper detailing is nice with its own little backpack and gun.Pros: - The set is detailed. - 3 figures that are NEW - Build is secure and harder to break - spring loaded missiles make for a nice feature on this setCons: - The figure that sits, more like needs to lie down in the back as there is too much of a tight fit in the cabin of the Snowspeeder. Lastly ensnaring cable is too short to effectively help disable and destroy an Imperial Walker. So our initial inspection seems to indicate a cabling issue, which probably undermined an otherwise effective Snowspeeder - that may have tipped the balance in favour of Imperial forces. Both my nephew and I agree that we will need additional Hoth battle related LEGO to come to full assessment of the Rebel defeat.

This is a really nice set, it's good looking, iconic, and very sturdy. Build time was about an hour or so, it's a very easy build, no really complicated sections. A few stickers, but none which are very difficult to apply correctly. If I was not picking I'd say that it would be nice to have some sort of system to make the cockpit auto-rotate with the 'wing' - perhaps just some extra weight in the cockpit floor? It might be possible to jury rig something yourself along those lines.Slightly odd selection of minifigs but they're all excellent, especially the b-wing pilot. I might have preferred a rebel ground crew engineer instead of Ten Numb.Only 4 stars as I do think the rrp of £49.99 is very expensive for such a simple build with relatively few pieces. If you can get it cheaper (I managed to pick it up for £25) then it's a good buy and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Our six-yr-old boy spent four hours on Christmas day making this with his daddy. It's a stretch project for him - the boy - and he was so proud of himself aterwards. I had reservations initially on price - and it is a v costly gift at €140 - but based on our son's enjoyment of it and that he has played with it every day since Christmas and still loves it, I'm glad in the end that we went for it.Best bits are the trapdoor (activated via a lever on the bum, which adds no end to our son's enjoyment of that feature) and the interior bits front and middle that hold the storm troopers. We also love the fact that the head swings and the legs have joints. For the price, a few more rebel characters would have been great. All in all though, a great buy with no regrets!

Lovely small Star Wars vehicle, one of the few that will give you both Ezra Bridger (who comes with a helmet) and Chopper mini-figures. Our children are fanatical about the Star Wars Rebel series so this very welcome. What makes this set most interesting is the completed Phantom model can be connected to the super impressive Ghost spaceship , one of our favourite Star Wars Lego ships. The build of the 234-piece set is fairly straightforward and posed little challenge for our experienced young brick builders. The falters include foldable wings, a large hold, a cockpit that can be opened and there is a missile launcher on top. So its great play-value as wel

Such an awesome model. My 8yr old son was given this for Christmas and now it is finished it is truly a great Lego Star Wars model. Not as many pieces as the Imperial Star Destroyer he got last year (1 week to build), this is slightly easier to make (7 + 1 bags) as of course the 4 legs and 2 sides are identical to build. Sturdy enough to play with, the jointed knees, hips and feet mean you can model and pose the At-At nicely, not sure it will stand up to being brought to the ground by speeders or how good it will be in the snow of Hoth (or England) but the look of awe and pride when my son completed it will be a memorable as the Empire Strikes Back to me.

Star Wars fans should find this B-Wing Fighter a great model to add to their collection. The set has moveable cockpit and wings, detailed minifigures, shooting blasters, and a structurally-sound design (you can really "play" with this one without fear of breakage). It's an easy build and should be no problem even for kids on the low end of the 8-14 years scale. For Lego collectors who already have the older B-Wing sets, I'd say this one is a definite improvement due to the much better structural design. This set is also a good value at less than forty pounds, a great "starter ship" for someone just getting into the Lego Star Wars theme.

My son asked for this set, specifically to get the two new minifigures. Fans of the Star Wars Rebels series will definitely like this model, which is pretty solid when assembled for play. Moveable parts and "shooters" will keep little ones entertained.Note: this is a very small ship. It's just about 7cm wide, 7cm high, and 17cm long. It is like an escape pod of the larger Ghost ship (Lego 75053) which would be a great additional set to go with this one. The price may seem a little high for such a small ship, but I think it's a good value considering that you get these two unique minifigures.

It's got a nice selection of minifigs here. The new Greedo is great, and Ben Kenobi. I'm glad to see the Bith musicians, but it might've been nice to see some of the bar patrons in this set. Or even Chewie, C3PO or R2. The build was fairly enjoyable, particularly the speeder (except the stickers on the engines). The cantina itself is a fairly faithful rendition of the scene, with a few play features thrown in. The hinges on the bar and the entrance allow for some nice positioning, and the exterior has a fair amount of detail. Two of these sets joined together would be amazing.

Based of the legendary han shot first cantina fight along with some other tatoonie based moments, this set is great... when it was released in 2014. Buying this set 5 years later at a price rise up to £100 makes it harder buy. Now after 2 months of owning it I've noticed it go up to £125 wish isn't the sellers fault, but it makes the set so much less worth it.The set its self makes me wish for a massive tatoonie UCS set with a big cantina along with other star wars based ships and buildings in the sandy hive of scum and valliny.

Amazing craft!! The colour scheme is intriguing; the overall design is almost immaculate (there's unfortunately no landing gear and no posability of the main wings); possesses nice play features; storage compartment is pretty spacious for a ship of this size; and as it usually is with many Lego sets, the whole thing looks much better in reality than on the photos. Plus the Jek-14 minifig is just superb.

15.1.2014

My son has just finished making this set. It looks very securely built and I can't see it breaking up that easily. He likes the cannons and that you can hold the wheel bike and easily push it around the floor. The thing he really loves is the general grievous mini figure. This has the 4 arms but is also a lot taller then the regular figures (which is true to his appearance in the films). Great set!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to assemble, the model creates the angles of the Snowspeeder cleverly. The tow cable is there for re-enactment of your favourite Hoth scene. Two pilots fit in the cockpit (just). The model fires little missiles and can even fire the tow cable hook. Not great value simply because it's a discontinued set at the official lego store.
