Lego kick off their 2008 Star Wars series with their first ever set from the new Clone Wars CGI animated series with kit #7669: Anakin's Jedi Starfighter.The yellow enhanced Delta-7 starfighter is based loosely around the frame of 2002's Jedi Starfighter with a slightly larger hull and more detailing. It features moveable wings, positionable landing gear, 2 forward mounted blue flick missiles, removable cockpit and best of all, a neat little ejection mechanism for R2.There is a connected lever that runs from the aft through the hull and when you push it in, a small bolt pushes up and ejects R2 upwards.

I was delighted to be able to buy this toy on line and have it delivered to my grandson in san francisco knowing that lego products give the correct balance between fun and learning . Here we have a toy that takes time to build teaching them patience and concentration and yet when assembled is gives scope to their imagination and develops their sense of play Thank you Lego you are a grandmothers dream.

This set is a little different from other clone wars sets. R2-D2 looks like the same R2-D2 from older sets. And Anakin comes with a gray handled lightsaber. I think all clone wars jedi and sith come with metallic or shiny lightsaber handles. But all of this is not a big deal. This set would go nicely with other jedi starfighters.

My son is 11 and loves legos, loves building them. He hasn't gotten around to building this yet because he's been so busy with schoolwork, but he will as soon as he can. It is awesome..

My young grandson was very excited to get this, and has played constantly (and very proudly) with it since he constructed it. He is particularly pleased that he made it himself.

My 8 year old is star wars mad and was very excited to have this as part of his collection. It's now his favourite Star Wars toy and Anakin's his favourite character.

As with all lego products, it's a complete success. After building the initial design, it can be taken to pieces and new inventions appear on a daily basis.

I ended up getting an open-box, "used" ship but I was willing to chance it for the price. I was not disappointed! Love it! Thanks so much!

Bought for my son for xmas. Cheaper than shops, and fast ddlivery. He gets hours out of playing with lego and it lasts for years.

My 8 yea old son loves it. He has built it up and taken it apart so many time, he has lots of fun with it.
