Next to my Millennium Falcon, This is my favorite Star Wars Lego vehicle set. (Squeeee!) Sorry about that, had to fan-boy for a second. This is an awesome, solidly built set that has lots of playability and just looks fabulous. The wings click into place and the model stands strong by itself. As other users have noted, you cannot display with the wings down without building your own display stand. Not a problem for Lego junkies like myself. The figures are great! The Chewbacca is painted just like the newer ones, so lots of detail and he has eyes! Had to use a sharpie to color in my original Chewie. Not the case with this one.

This is a great set, fun to build, impressive to display. It's got a lot of good detail work, like the cockpit and interior areas, the passenger ramp, retracting landing gears and folding wings. The mini-figs are good too. Nothing too demanding to build, but this kit does require some advanced techniques and a lot of attention to detail. Obviously this set is not as impressive as the UCS version (10212 with 2,500 pieces, just try to find one) but it really captures the look and style of the movie beautifully. This model will be on my office desk for the next few months.My only complaint - I really would have liked a display stand. I crafted one from bricks on hand, and it looks fine,

I was able to snag this for $82 on Amazon - which put this set less than 10 cents per brick - I always use that as my value point for Star Wars Lego sets - because I expect them to be a bit expensive considering they have to pay two big brand names: Disney and Lego.The set is fabulous, and although it has to be displayed with the wings folded up, you can get a clear Lego Stand and display it with the wings fully extended (I recommend this because it looks a lot better this way).If you can get this set for less than the $100 you see it for on store shelves, grab it - it has a great collection of minifigs and you will love building the main sail - it is very cool - it looks simple,

What a great build! For a smaller model of the original, it has great detail and functionality. The blasters on the wings have a cool mechanism that fires when you press down on part of the wing. The center manifold is also quite sturdy! The wings are also spot on with how they fold up and are able to be displayed.A couple downsides (nothing important really, but noted): The landing gear is a little off balance, so you have to kind of balance it in the center which is no big deal at all. Secondly, the cockpit will easily fly up and down, and its a little akward getting any minifigures inside the ship itself.Other than that, i think it was a really fun build and has a lot of display capabilities.

This is a solid build and was fun to put together. The wings seemed flimsy when building, but after finishing and putting it up, was solid enough I let my young daughter "fly" it around for a little while before I put it on display. I thought I wouldn't like the opening compartments, but they were nicer than I thought they would be. This set does not have the intricate detail of the older LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle 10212, but is still a nice set and for just under $100 is a decent substitution for someone not willing to spend just over $650 for the Ultimate Collector Series version.

I am a 36-year-old woman who unabashedly loves buying and constructing Lego sculptures. This was one of my favorites. Everything from the mini-figs (with those awesome RotJ hats) to the beautiful finished product is pure entertainment and fun. And I finished constructing my Lego Leia just about when Carrie Fisher died, so this particular item will always hold a bittersweet memory for me. Anyways, the detail is amazing, it's immensely fun to put together and you can't help saying "I don't know... fly casual!!" whilst zooming it around the room once you've completed it. :)

I love this set. It looks really nice when assembled and has a lot of nice features. Though not as impressive as the Ultimate Collectors version (which you won't get unless you're rich), they packed so much into this and made it look so nice that you won't even notice. My only gripe is: WHY NO STAND?? I know, I know, this is a KIDS toy and is made to be PLAYED with. Still, Lego knows that us collectors buy these and make up a huge portion of their sales. You cannot display this thing except in the landing mode (the wings won't hold the weight of the ship).

This was a gift for my boyfriend. He loves building the "adult" Lego sets, he has almost every single one of them. The ship is a good size - took roughly an hour for him to finish. It looks great on display, and comes with some extra pieces in case you lose some of them. The wings move too which is cool so you can change how it looks on display.I wouldn't recommend to children under 8, there are lots of tiny pieces and smaller children might try to eat them.. stick them in their nose... you know.. kid stuff. Definitely a "bigger kid" toy.

Excellent model! Unfortunately, not as accurate as the UCS Tydirium Shuttle Lego made a few years back, but for $100, this is definitely worth it. The minifigures are great, the build is fun, and over all, the model is very strong and sturdy.I wish that the landing gear mechanism could've been revised since the loading ramp under the belly of the shuttle is comically too steep. If I have the time and bricks, I'll definitely modify this shuttle to match the UCS version so it can hold more minifigures and give it a great stance.

A fantastic set. For those who love the SW universe, the Imperial Shuttle is something whose cool factor far exceeds its screen time.I was particularly impressed with the gull wing doors. They allow you to pull the doors out, then up. The entire build is extremely solid and includes many Technics pieces.There's even a door that drops down to allow Vader/Palpatine to regally emerge. Super cool. And the landing gear retracts so that in flying mode it's more streamlined.If you love Star Wars and Lego, this is a must-buy.

This was a great build. Some good attention to detail, and good engineering that leaves a mostly solid result. My biggest complaint is that even with models of these I built in the 80's, I had a tendency to lift them by the tall dorsal fin, and this build doesn't have much strength for the vertical force on that. It pulls apart too easily.But the figures are great, it looks good, and the retractable landing gear is a nice touch. All told, a solid representation of the shuttle.

outstanding my nephews love this. it's star wars and legos combined in one item. It's a lego ship so if you ever brought a lego product you know what your getting into, so there's nothing much to say. everything works fine on it cause both my nephews built it in one day. I would love to get them a star destroyer and a super star destoryer but at the moment it's too expensive to afford. What happen to the good old days when there where cheaper then what they are right now.

So much fun to build of course. Only complaint is the feet. Double checked the instructions to be sure...the shuttle is very heavy. The feet either slide too far forward or too far back and then the shuttle tilts forward or back. It doesn't always stay up on its own feet. Despite the feet, it's well structured. The doors slide up smoothly. There are lots of little peg pieces within so it does not come apart when playing.We also like the older Chewbacca minifigure.

This is one of the sets that I’ve been interested in owning for some time now. My only complaint is the price that you would pay for a set like this however I do understand that because this is an older lego set it’s no longer produced and therefore it is much harder to find. After building this lego set, I can honestly say that it is a beautiful lego replica to have on display and is also very durable for anyone who intends on using this as a play set.

Very Nice looks exactly the shuttle Tydirium in Return of the Jedi, the Only thing that I think they should have done with it is Made it a Little higher from the Ground because I wanted to Recreate the Darth Vader arrival in the Death star in the movie. so I made it some Landing gears with another set of star wars Lego put some storm troopers inside some Imperial guard right under the shuttle Now it's freaking Awesome!!
